Bright and Happy Custom Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Corbin found me on his hunt for a special anniversary gift for his wife. He shared with me that they had moved recently and had to decide about keeping her “old, dried up bridal bouquet.” They ultimately decided to say goodbye to it, but his wife kept a bouquet of silk flowers from her friend’s wedding. That gave Corbin the idea to have her bouquet recreated in silk flowers. And that’s how he found me! He sent me photos of her bouquet, and I loved how bright and happy and full of texture her bouquet was. Let’s take a look at the recreation alongside the original, featured in these photos by MLE Photo Art by Emily Wysocki.

The original bouquet was a large, loose handtied style bouquet with some draping greenery. It consisted of peach Roses, cream Cabbage Roses, white Garden Roses, blue Delphinium, pink Delphinium, yellow Freesia, Queen Anne’s Lace, Ruscus, Sword Eucalyptus, Gunni Eucalyptus and small filler greens.

Dusty Pink, Blush and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

Last week, the featured silk wedding flowers showed a very similar color scheme as today’s wedding with bride Kelsey. But you can see that despite similar colors, these custom silk wedding flower arrangements are a totally different vibe! Not only did we deepen up the pinks to include a dusty rose pink, but there are touches of beige and some dustier greenery. Thanks to these photos by Danielle Christensen Photography, we are going to get a good look at Kelsey’s custom silk bridal bouquet in dusty pink, blush and white.

Here’s our awesome couple and with attire like theirs, I only want complement and not take away. Kelsey’s teardrop cascade style bouquet was a mix of white Roses, dusty pink Roses, dusty pink Peonies, beige Baby's Breath, white Seeds, Seeded Eucalyptus and some smaller greens mixed in.

In this close up shot to the left, you can see the beautiful texture of her dress which blended perfectly with the texture in her bouquet. We kept the groom’s boutonniere simple with a dusty pink Rose, beige Baby’s Breath and some greenery.

The bridesmaids carried clutch style bouquet with a few white roses, a dusty pink Rose, a dusty pink Peony, Seeds, beige Baby's Breath and Seeded Eucalyptus. They were a perfect match to the bridal bouquet without being overpowering. Plus they looked great up against those stunning pale pink dresses!

Kelsey wanted to add a swag for her sweetheart table which was a nice touch to tie all the floral arrangements together from the ceremony to the reception. This low swag provided a background for their Mr. & Mrs. signs and brought some color to their stunning white set up.

Harry Potter x Lord of the Rings Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Today’s wedding features something I’d never dreamed I’d see incorporated into a wedding, but then again, why not? People who love their dogs and cats include them, and I’ve made tiny silk flower arrangements for both. But today, I get to show you the flowers I created for Kaitlyn’s Harry Potter x Lord of the Rings Wedding that featured an OWL! There are also a few other birds that make an appearance, so don’t skip any of these photos from TMT Weddings!

Here’s our awesome couple! You may recognize Kaitlyn’s bouquet from Alex’s Harry Potter Themed Custom Silk Wedding Flowers I featured last year. Kaitlyn saw those flowers and loved them, so we tailored a few things to fit her Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings theme and brought her vision to life! Her modified cascade style bridal bouquet included navy Roses, silver Dusty Miller, burgundy Peonies, gold Mimosa, Olive greens and some added mixed greens for filler. What I didn’t anticipate was the magic that Kaitlyn added to it!

The bridesmaids carried round hand tied style bouquets with a Peony, gold Mimosa, navy Roses, Dusty Miller and Olive greenery. A perfect match to the bridal bouquet!

They didn’t make it in these photos, but the groomsmen had small boutonnieres with a mix of the colors in silver, elvish looking boutonniere holders. I thought that was such a unique idea!

I had a Harry Potter/lord of the rings wedding. She did an amazing job at every little detail I asked for for my bouquets for my girls and for mine and the boys boutonnières. She kept me updated on the progress of my flowers and while I waited to receive them she responded timely to every email and/question I had for her. When they arrived they were packaged very well to not cause any damage during shipping. They arrived beautifully and brought tears to my eyes! I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone and everyone getting married or needing floral arrangements!

Revisiting This Wedding Day Reveal of Silk Flowers

Today we are revisiting a moment in time that could included great joy when things were just…hard! I love that Rachel has this moment to look back on with fondness, no matter what else was going on in the world! One thing I didn’t talk about in my original post was what was in the arrangements. As you scroll down to see them, you’ll see the bouquets made up of Hydrangea, Dahlia, Tulips, Ruscus, and plum Astilbe in the bridesmaid bouquets. The bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with those flowers plus Roses, Ranunculus, Seedum and Fern. I love that she chose a bouquet that was quite a bit different than the bridesmaids. Let’s take a look at this awesome wedding from 2020!

There is nothing sweeter than getting to see my flowers out in “the wild.” I spend time chatting and designing with each client and then I send their silk wedding flowers off to their Happily Ever After. Rachel sent me some shots from her wedding with her bridal bouquet that made me gasp and slap my husband on the arm as I pointed at my phone screen.

These breathtaking images were taken by the very talented MVphotos. If you want to see more of Madalyn’s amazing work, you can find her on Instagram (madalynvermeerphotos), Facebook (MVphotos), or shoot her an email to book her for your own wedding (info@madalynvphotography.com). Thanks Madalyn for the photos!

2020 sure has provided us with some unique situations! I love that these two lovebirds decided to make this a sweet moment to remember.

This detail shot is so fun! How many of you are hoping for a photo that captures all those details you spent so much time on?

Blush, Dusty Pink, Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal and Review

Today’s wedding is a really pretty combination of blush, dusty pink, blue and white silk wedding flowers. As you’ll see from the photos that bride Emily sent me, this was a soft romantic color palette that worked great for her outdoor wedding. Let’s take a look at the photos she sent me from her amazing photographer Brandi Doleman.

Emily’s bouquet was a unique style in that we slightly modified a modified cascade style. She didn’t quite want a teardrop shape, but not as round as a modified cascade. Her bouquet was composed of white, nude, and dusty pink Roses, blush pink Peonies, blue Astilbe and Thistle, Stephanotis, Orchids, white Heather, beige Baby’s Breath, Willow and Eucalyptus. Here bridesmaids were wearing a variety of these colors and she wanted to include them in her bouquet. It tied everything together so nicely!

The bridesmaids carried clutch style bouquet with the same mix of the bridal flowers. One of the bouquets was actually for an attendant on the groom’s side, so we included a bit more of the blue accents in her bouquet to match the guys more closely. It was an easy tweak to the design so that it set it apart but still matched with the bridesmaids.

Erin is SO sweet to work with and VERY prompt with communication and getting everything situated and organized! She is super easy to talk to and very accommodating if you have a particular idea in mind! The wedding flowers were everything I would’ve dreamed of and were just absolutely perfect! I couldn’t have been happier! I HIGHLY recommend her for any of your floral needs!

Burnt Orange, Terra Cotta, Nude, White and Beige Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

This last year, I had the fun task of working Orange and Terra Cotta into a variety of weddings. I absolutely loved the creativity that my bride’s brought with their ideas. And I’m excited to share Ashley’s burnt orange, terra cotta, nude, white and beige silk wedding flowers. Her arrangements were full of texture and interest and were lovely additions to her November wedding. Let’s take a look at some photos from her very talented photographer Christina Jo Photography!

Ashley’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of beige baby's breath, terra cotta, rust and nude Roses, white Bamboo, mini pampas and larger pampas. If you look in the photo above, it was a perfect accent to both her wedding dress and her groom’s unique sport coat. Don’t you love the beige and plaid detail?

Let’s talk for a minute about Pampas grass. It’s a super popular and lovely addition to wedding florals, but it sheds like crazy! Unless you want to have it all over your dress, your groom’s tux or any other fabric in your general vicinity, faux Pampas is a great alternative. There is no allergy risk, no shedding and it’s not as delicate as the real stuff.

Thanks again to Ashley for sharing these lovely images of her custom bridal bouquet in silk flowers for her big day. Do you have your eye on this color palette? Or maybe you were considering Pampas in your wedding flowers? Red, Black and Gold Renaissance Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Have you considered a themed wedding? Today’s custom silk wedding flowers are a great example of incorporating a theme, without going overboard. Lauren’s red, black and gold wedding was set at a Renaissance Fair, and I can’t wait for you to see it! We really wanted to complement her wedding dress and her groom’s attire. Let’s take a look at some photos from Kacy Hughes Photography from Lauren’s big day!!

Lauren’s wedding gown was a show stopper! With the red satin and gold overlay, it was the perfect look for Renaissance royalty! We wanted to incorporate her three wedding colors into the bouquet, with the red and gold being prominently featured. Her teardrop cascade bouquet featured red Garden Roses and Dahlia, burgundy Calla Lilies, black Skimmia Berries, gold Ruscus and black Feathers.

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did with the flowers. They matched our outfits and the aesthetic PERFECTLY! Once again, thank you so much for the wonderful work you did on our flowers. They were absolutely top-notch, and I’m looking forward to getting them shadowboxed so that we can forever keep them as decorative souvenirs.
— Lauren | Arizona

The groom’s boutonniere was a red Garden Rose, black Skimmia Berries, gold Ruscus and black Feathers.

I had my wedding at the Renaissance Festival and wanted to have silk flowers so that I could keep them for posterity. I found Erin online and she immediately got to work. She knocked this bouquet and the boutonniere out of the park! Quick, courteous, and responsive; highly recommend her!

Jewel Tone Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

Getting to work with local couples is always fun because I get to meet them in person when they pick up their flowers. And if I’m really lucky, I get to run into them in the wild, like I did at my son’s basketball tournament recently! Amber was so easy to work with to create her custom silk wedding flower designs and so it was extra fun to see her again and meet her husband and their sweet kiddos in a school gym, of all places! She had just sent me these photos a few days before, so it was great timing to be able to share their wedding day with you! Let’s take a look at these awesome photos by Abigail Niemann Photography.

Our happy couple who look like they are having the best day ever in these pictures! Amber’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of emerald green Roses, white Lilies, purple Mums, burgundy and magenta Roses, cream Ranunculus, berry Tea Roses, Succulents, Lamb’s Ear and Eucalyptus. I loved this color combination, especially with that pop of magenta in there!

The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets in a smaller handtied style. We did simplify them so that only the bridal bouquet had Liles and Succulents. That just meant Amber’s bouquet stood out even more!

I love the celebration here!

Awesome Altar Arrangements in Navy, Dusty Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Alec and Bailey were interested in seeing some flowers in person to be reassured of quality, style and that we were a good fit to work together. Since the majority of my business is done online, it was fun to sit down with them and hear their vision. I showed them some examples of flowers, we talked about color combinations, and we were able to take some selections and come up with a winning combination of flowers and greenery. Let’s take a look at their custom silk wedding flowers, photographed by the very talented Katie Lindgren!

Here’s our sweet bride, Bailey! Her bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with 1 navy Magnolia, a few navy Ranunculus, dusty blue Dogwood, white garden Roses, white Hydrangea, white Dahlia, Skimmia berries, white Seeds, Lamb's Ear, Seeded Eucalyptus and some mixed greenery that worked with the bridesmaid dress color. Bailey wanted her bouquet to feature navy and dusty blue, but for the bridesmaid bouquets to be all white with greenery.

In their lovely sage green dresses, the bridesmaid carried round handtied style bouquets with white Hydrangea, Dahlia, and  Roses, seeds, and the same mix of greenery as the bridal bouquet. I love how it makes the blue really stand out even more!

Look at this stunning altar! The filtered light through the windows, the warmth of the wood arch, it’s amazing! Because Alec and Bailey were local, we didn’t have to contend with shipping, so I was able to a little bigger and badder on their altar arrangement. The corner piece was a mix of navy Magnolia, Delphinium and small accent flowers, dusty blue Dogwood, white Dahlia, Hydrangea and Roses and lots of greenery. I also created a piece to go on the opposite beam that included white Roses, navy Ranunculus, dusty blue Dogwood and more greenery.

Moving on to the reception! They ordered custom centerpieces made to drop into vases that their venue provided. We went with the all white theme of Roses, Dahlia, Hydrangea and Seeds and went with just the Seeded Eucalyptus for greenery. It’s a classic look that goes with any space. And since these are silk flowers, they are reusable and ready for your next event or even for another bride to use!

Erin was SO wonderful to work with for our wedding - I can’t recommend her enough! We went into the planning with a fairly open mind, as neither of us were well-versed in flower types or had a super specific vision at the time of our consultation. Erin is skilled at her craft and was able to make several suggestions with us being fairly open canvases, and she also showed us several examples of past work to help us decide what we’d like. She has a ton of flower types and colors at her disposal and is very willing to work with you to execute what you’re looking for. She was very flexible, communicative, and genuinely excited to help us make our day beautiful! Additionally, shortly before our wedding and after we’d placed our initial order, our layout changed a bit at the venue and we needed to add some additional arrangements last minute. Erin was super accommodating and let us know the additional ones wouldn’t be exactly the same but she’d make them as close as she could, and I honestly couldn’t even tell the difference! I also received several compliments on the arrangements at the wedding, especially for my bridal bouquet and the arch pieces - a few people even told me they couldn’t believe they were silk flowers! 10/10 would highly recommend!
— Bailey | Minnesota

They are so many options of how to do cake florals! Alec and Bailey opted to do 3 small clusters to go on top and at the base of each layer for a simple but stylish look.

Bridal Bouquet Recreation for Daughter's Anniversary

Happy New Year! Maybe a bouquet recreation is a new idea to you, so here’s a great example to introduce this unique gift idea. A few times now, I’ve had moms come to me wanting to recreate their daughter’s bridal bouquet for a gift. But that’s even more fun when she comes back for her other daughter’s bridal bouquet! Customer Rosanne, reached out to me a few years after ordering from me to place a second order and of course I was happy to help! Her daughter’s bouquet was a classic mix of white Roses, Spray Roses, and Calla Lilies with a mix of Fern, Smilax and Eucalyptus in a dramatic cascading bouquet. Rosanne worked closely with me to get just the right size of flowers, shape of the draping and placement of the feature flowers to get it just right! Let’s compare with these photos from the photographer at Jackson Zimmerman Photography.

When the package arrived last week, I opened the top to peek in, but was too afraid to even take it out and mess it up before gifting it!

I finally got to witness it’s beauty… and my daughter’s JOY in opening it today!! SHE ABSOLUTELTY LOVES IT!!!! It’s perfect :)!

The photos you sent didn’t really do it justice… Stunning! It looks so real in every sense.

I purchased a plain cylinder vase in the dimensions you suggested, and my daughter already has it displayed on her fireplace mantle.. (out of reach of toddler for now!) At some point, she may move it to entryway table…

Also, I just found out that the traditional anniversary gift for 4th anniversary is fruit and/or flowers… so this was spot on besides!!

Thanks again for your patience and extra care to make it just right for her.

A lifetime treasure! Keep up the beautiful work!
— Rosanne | New York

Getting the right shape of the bouquet is important and Rosanne gave me lots of great feedback based on the photos and from her memory of the wedding day.

Plum, Lilac and Ivory Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Purple tones in silk wedding flowers can be bright and cheery, but they can also be moody and romantic. Today’s custom silk wedding flowers is a great example of a little bit of both! Samantha’s wedding colors included plum, lilac and ivory with her bridesmaids wearing a lovely shade of lilac/wisteria. Samantha sent me some amazing photos of her wedding day from her photographers Elena and Bogdan from Red Barn Wedding Studio.

Here’s our lovely bride, Samantha! Her cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of lilac Cabbage Roses, ivory Garden Roses, lavender Garden Roses, plum Cosmos and Tea Roses, lavender Forget-Me-Nots, and a mix of greenery.

Look how awesome the colors of the bouquets pop against the bridesmaid dresses! Their round handtied style bridesmaid bouquets had the same mix of flowers as the bridal bouquet.

Erin was amazing! Everything was completely customized to how I wanted it to look and my flowers arrived in plenty of time for my wedding. We got so many compliments on the flowers and they look amazing in our photos!
— Samantha | Illinois

I love these detail shots by Red Barn Wedding Studio! It gives a great close up look at some of the boutonnieres and corsages.

Sunflowers and Navy Blue Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

One thing that will never go out of style is sunflowers! They are bright and cheery, they go great with a variety of color palettes, and they look especially great for weddings that include elements from the great outdoors. My bride, Caitlin, sent me some lovely images from David Paul Photography of her summer wedding. Let’s take a look at a great example of using Sunflowers with a mix of navy and white in custom silk wedding flowers!

Caitlin chose a cascading bridal bouquet with a mix of Sunflowers, navy Roses, navy Wisteria, white Calla Lilies, and Ruscus. It was a lush, full bouquet that looked perfect with the backdrop of a green field as she entered the ceremony site!

sunflower-bridal-bouquet-silk-wedding-flowers-corsage-boutonniere

The bridesmaids carried round handtied style bouquet with a mix of navy Roses, Sunflowers, white Callas and Ruscus.

There was a beautiful fireplace as the backdrop for their altar and Caitlin had me design three pieces to coordinate with her bridal bouquet. Along the mantel, I created a long garland with Sunflowers. navy Roses and Wisteria, Calla Lilies and greenery. We didn’t go large with this piece because we needed it to do double duty for the reception area. She also ordered two pieces to sit on the hearth. Instead of making these bouquet style to drop in a vase, they had a flat bottom so they could sit on the ground, on a table top, or anywhere she needed more decor. As you can see below, the versatility of these three custom silk flower arrangements made her dollar stretch and her head table look great!

When ordering cake flowers, there are a few options! You can order a custom floral cake topper, premade clusters for layers, or like Caitlin, you can order loose flowers and greenery for your baker to place on the cake. Their baker did a great job accenting this simple, but classic cake style.

Thank you for contributing to my big day! The arrangements are now decorating my house.
— Caitlin | Ohio

Caitlin had worn a tiara for the ceremony but wanted to switch it up for the reception, so I created a custom floral crown that incorporated her flowers and colors

Customer Review of Custom Silk Wedding Flowers

A few weeks ago, I shared Brandi and Troy’s stunning red, peach, pink and white custom silk wedding flowers. Brandi was the sweetest bride to work with, and she’s also an amazing performer busy in a show right now. But she took the time to write up a testimonial about her experience working with me. Once again, amazing photos by the amazing Jennifer Juniper Photography.

custom-silk-wedding-flowers-red-bridal-bouquet-altar-arrangements-boutonniere
My husband and I got married in January, and wanted something special and unique for our flowers. Had we chosen to use real flowers, we would have been out thousands of dollars. I decided to search instead for someone using silk flowers who could make our wishes come true at a fraction of the price (and so we can also put them on display in our house afterwards).

I found Erin, and she was immediately so responsive, and while other floral designers shied away from the vibrance and lack of greenery we wanted, Erin was excited to do something different. In the beginning, she sent us an email with tons of flowers and colors that we could pick from, and saw our vision immediately.

We ordered my bouquet, two separate pieces to flank the archways, table decorations, and boutonnieres and corsages for our family, as well as flowers for our cake. We found the exact pieces we wanted to put the flowers in / on, and sent the pictures through to her. What she created was incomparable and totally better than what we were dreaming of.

As the process continued, she communicated often and sent pictures so we could see the progress and make any changes we thought necessary. Shipping came with insurance and a tracking number. Please just see the pictures, because my words cannot describe how beautiful they came out. I recommend her to literally EVERYONE I know who is getting married. This was a wonderful experience, and my husband and I both feel so grateful to have found and worked with her to help make our wedding day the most beautiful day of our lives.

Navy, Dusty Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Local bride, Peggy, reached out to me for her winter wedding. She didn’t want to go any traditional route, and her friends were a great help in identifying flowers she would like to include. She sent me her inspiration photos and her colors, and I started making suggestions. What we came up with was a lovely mix of navy, dusty blue and white silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at the photos Peggy shared with me from her big day! Her niece, Jada Gutowski, was the photographer. You can find her on Facebook @jadafayephotography11.

Peggy’s teardrop cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of navy Roses and Peonies, medium blue Spray Roses, dusty blue Anemone, white Phalaenopsis Orchids, white Cabbage and Garden Roses, white Heather and Seeds, Stephanotis, and Longleaf and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. The varying shades of blue with all the textures, the white accents and the touches of greenery made her bouquet a real show stopper!

Peggy had one bridesmaid who carried a round handtied style bouquet with the same mix of flowers. Her flower girl carried a clutch style bouquet. And since Peggy knew she loved rainbows, we added a custom mix of ribbon tails in a variety of rainbow colors. What a sweet touch!

Cake flowers are easy to forget about, but they are also easy to add to your order. Peggy’s cake was a beautiful three tier with frosting polka-dots and blue watercolor-like streaks. I created a topper and a cluster for the bottom layer that brought in all her colors and variety of the flowers.

I thoroughly loved working with Erin! I told her what I was interested in, she selected an assortment of flowers for me with her recommendations. After I made my selections, she was able to put them together for me to see. Then, after some final tweaking, I ended up getting something even better than I imagined!

Wine, Black and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Last week, I showed you Kasey’s lovely winter wedding flowers, and today, I wanted to show you how I can easily take a similar color scheme but give a very different look. Sydney’s custom silk wedding flowers incorporated almost the same color scheme as Kasey’s but as you’ll see had a style all their own. Let’s take a look at these awesome photos by Stephanie Lane Photo.

Sydney’s bridal bouquet was a dramatic modified cascade style with a mix of wine Roses, Zinnia and Dahlia, white Cosmos, Ranunculus and Anemone, Silver Dollar and Seeded Eucalyptus and trailing burgundy Amaranthus to add the cascading effect. You can see what a great mix of textures and shades of wine and burgundy made it into her bouquet and we even got a touch of black with the centers of the Anemone.

The bridesmaids carried loose handtied style bouquets with Zinnia, Dahlia, Amaranthus and a rose in burgundy, Anemone and Ranunculus in white and the same greenery as the bridal bouquet. Let’s take one more minute to appreciate Sydey’s stunning dress and then we can appreciate why it needed a bridal bouquet to match that high fashion!

Our flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Exactly what I asked for (truly even better than what I imagined)! Looked so real and arranged in such a nice way :) Erin was on top of getting the flowers to us, and was very detailed in her work with us- checking in to see if her plans for the flowers fit what we wanted. Really awesome experience! Would recommend!

Dusty Lavender and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Today’s reveal and review showcase a beautiful set of dusty lavender and white silk wedding flowers that made their way to Canada! Bride Katie was repurposing the flowers I made for her sister back in 2021. She needed a custom teardrop cascade bridal bouquet to match the 4 round handtied style bridesmaid bouquets she had. She also needed an additional bridesmaid bouquet in the same style. I also designed matching boutonnieres that gave the entire bridal party a cohesive look. Katie provided me with some beautiful images from her wedding day, taken by Lacey Hill Photography.

Katie’s bouquet was a tear drop cascading style bridal bouquet with a mix of dusty lavender Peonies, cream and white Cabbage and Garden Roses, white Larkspur, Baby’s Breath, lavender Spray Roses, and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

The bridesmaids carried the same mix of flowers as the bridal bouquet, but in a loose round handtied style. The boutonnieres were white rose buds with a spray rose and greens. Matching ribbon tied everything together, literally, for a classy and timeless look for the bridal party!

You were able to make the flowers exactly like what I had envisioned to match the rest of my decor, they held up so well (fake is the way to go), and everything was reliably on time and in good condition.

That you so much again!
