Silk Flower Aisle Arrangements and Centerpieces Do Double Duty!

I absolutely love the versatility that custom silk wedding flowers affords brides of any budget. Maricel reached out to me about a unique idea for ceremony and reception silk flowers. When she emailed me, she asked, “We were wondering if it would be possible to make the aisle arrangements in such a way that it could be broken apart into smaller pieces and reused as table decor during the reception?”

Her idea was both creative and budget friendly, and you know I’m all about both of those things! They were planning on using wood boxes for both the ceremony decor and centerpiece containers, so that was an easy way to make sure that what I created would fit both spaces. Let’s take a look at what I came up with for Maricel’s silk flower aisle arrangements and centerpieces so they could do double duty! Here are some lovely photos by Andrew Do Photography!

All of the arrangements consisted of a variety of white and champagne flowers, touches of blush pink and greenery. We included white Lilies, mini Cabbage Roses, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Gardenia in white, champagne Hydrangea, pink Peonies, Garden Roses and Eucalyptus, lush green Fern and Ruscus. Each aisle piece was actually two smaller arrangements placed together for a nice full look.

For the reception, they just needed a few helping hands to grab the aisle arrangements, separate the two small bouquets and place each one in a container on the reception tables. Easy and budget friendly!

Erin was incredibly responsive, creative, and resourceful. She truly made our vision come true. She also remained patient, flexible and transparent about what was possible with our budget. I would recommend her to anyone looking for truly unique floral arrangements for their special moments in life.

Navy, Sapphire Blue and Gray Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Working with silk wedding flowers gives me continual opportunities to be creative, not just with shapes of bouquets, but with their composition! Sometimes brides love a bouquet they’ve seen so much, they want an exact copy. But what I’ve found to be true more often is that brides want their silk wedding flowers to have a custom element, something they haven’t seen before. When Chumani reached out to me for her navy, Sapphire blue and gray color scheme, I was excited to present some options to her for a truly custom combination. Here are some photos of her arrangements taken by the very talented Mariah Joy Photography!

The bridal bouquet was a classic tear drop cascade shape with a mix of white Phalaenopsis orchids, ivory Cabbage Roses, navy Ranunculus, sapphire blue Roses, blue Anemone, Blueberries, blue/gray Heather and Lamb’s Ear.

The groom’s boutonniere was a sapphire blue Rose, white Orchid, Heather and Lamb’s ear.

Chumani ordered boutonnieres and corsages for all her loved ones and worked with me to decide who wears which color vs. a mix of her colors. I loved how thoughtful she was in making those decisions!

My bouquet was absolutely beautiful and in the colors I wanted. They look like the real thing and love that I’ll get to keep them forever.

Blush and White Destination Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Back in July, I shared photos of a pretty little bridal bouquet I made for Heather. I needed to post an update once Heather sent me her professional photos because they are STUNNING! From her vintage inspired dress to the colorful back grounds, these photos are inspiring! The amazing images are by Andi Artigue .Let’s take a look at Heather’s silk flowers for a Vegas destination wedding!

Heather sent me inspiration photos that included roses, orchids and a few tropical accents. She originally wanted all white but decided to add in some blush for contrast. Her asymmetrical cascade bridal bouquet included white Phalaenopsis Orchids, white and nude pink Garden Roses, white Baby’s Breath and blush pink Anthurium. We planned for a smaller bouquet to accommodate her travel needs, but as you can see this bouquet was still high impact despite it’s smaller size.

So happy I found Love Is Blooming to create my custom silk bouquet!

Erin was great. She worked with my (many) inspo pictures to pick out all of the flowers and other elements that I wanted. She also helped me pick out the right size and shape since I would be flying with my bouquet and was worried about how to transport something more traditional.

She was super responsive and provided several updates to the status of my bouquet and asked for feedback before shipping (I didn’t have any as her creation was perfect and more than everything I envisioned).

Erin truly made something that could have been very stressful so easy and I would recommend her business to anyone!

Heather’s dress was a beautiful lace number, so we matched that look with soft pink satin ribbon wrapped with lace and trailing lace tales. It goes with her dress so well!

Blush and White Tropical Destination Wedding Bridal Bouquet - Reveal and Review

Heather reached out to me with a few inspiration photos and a truly blushing bride color palette for her destination wedding. Her vibe was beachy, romantic, soft and a touch of glamour. She requested that the bouquet was small to make travel easier, but she didn’t want to loose any drama. I sent a few flower ideas and got to work on a custom bridal bouquet in silk wedding flowers.

I went with an asymmetrical design for the shape with a more subtle draping to the bouquet. I incorporated white and nude pink Garden Roses, white Baby’s Breath, white Phalaenopsis Orchids and blush pink Anthurium.

Lavender, Violet, and Ivory Silk Wedding Flowers

Lavender has been another hot color this year. And what’s fun is that my brides have chosen some really pretty ways to accent the lavender. This custom silk cascading bridal bouquet is a great example of using a pastel color in a mix of wedding flowers and textures so that it doesn’t feel dated or too muted.

I used a violet Phalaenopsis Orchid along with lavender and ivory Roses with some Smilax for a pop of green. I really like how the contrast between the ivory and violet is bridged by that soft lavender.

Antique white ribbon for a bridal touch.

The matching bridesmaid bouquet was a really pretty mix of lavender Roses, a few violet Orchids and Smilax. I wrapped the handle with Rosewater ribbon which is a nice in between pink and purple shade. It was a perfect fit on for this bouquet.

The cute little toss bouquet incorporated ivory and lavender Roses and violet Orchids. I wrapped the handle in Antique White satin ribbon and added tails in Rosewater.

Custom Over-sized Centerpiece Silk Wedding Flowers for Minneapolis Golf Club

I recently had the opportunity to create an awesomely oversized custom centerpiece for the Minneapolis Golf Club made from silk wedding flowers. They were looking to have a versatile piece to grace their cocktail and hors d’oeuvres area that was neutral enough to work with any season. But neutral doesn’t mean uninteresting!

This baby is a showstopper at just about 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. I arranged a variety of white and ivory flowers: Ranunculus, Roses, Phalaenopsis Orchids, Hydrangea, Dogwood, and Cherry Blossoms. There was also just a hint of blush pink from the Cherry Blossoms that gave it a softer touch. They wanted some interesting elements that would add some texture so I added in cream Amaranthus, some dusty Greenery and Willow Branches.

Tropical Bridal Bouquet and Matching Silk Flower Arrangements

Whether you are traveling for a destination wedding or live in Florida like this bride, tropical silk wedding flowers bring the color and brightness to any summer wedding.

For this silk bridal bouquet I used a variety of very tropical flowers (and a few more common) in a modified cascade style bouquet. Not sure what that even is? Maybe that’s because I made that term up 😄. If you like the look of a looser, draping bouquet but aren’t a fan of the tight teardrop shape of a traditional cascading bouquet, then the modified cascade is where it’s at! Greenery and more linear flowers help give the draping and branching effect along with space between flowers so you can admire each one.

This bouquet includes King Protea, pincushion Protea, Peonies, Calla Lilies, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Heliconia along with grasses, Monstera and other tropical foliage. This baby was large and in charge and also breathtaking. That’s a lot to ask of one bouquet, but she pulled it off!

For the bridesmaid bouquet, I pared it back and utilized the Peonies, Protea, Calla Lilies and Heliconia along with grasses and mini Monstera. And since it was still quite snowy when I put these bouquets together, they got their first and only taste of winter for this outdoor photo shoot before they traveled to Florida for their debut.

We kept the boutonnieres simple with a yellow and pink Phalaenopsis Orchid, greens and a few grass loops for the groom. A bit of ribbon that matched the bouquets and we were all done!

Wedding Bouquet Bling in Silk Flowers- Part 2

So last week I showed you a beautiful cascading silk wedding bouquet with 3 types of bling. This week we are going to Supersize It! This is the point where Oprah comes out and says, "YOU get a broach, and YOU get a broach, and YOUUUUUUU get a broach!!!!"  Take a look and you'll see what I'm talking about;)

This beautiful silk flower bridal bouquet is simply stunning. With hot pink and blush Peonies, ivory roses, and magenta Tulips it has all the summer wedding vibes the bride was looking for. She also requested some broaches tucked in there. Five medium broaches and 6 small broaches added a ton of shine in the bouquet. And if that wasn't enough, we added on that beautiful bejeweled sleeve to cover up the stems. This eye-catching piece is by Body Werk Jewels.

Here's a peek at one of the bridesmaid bouquets with the bridal. You can see I added in some small rhinestones into the bridesmaids bouquets. It gives them a little somethin' somethin' without taking anything away from the bridal bouquet.

Bridesmaid Bouquet: Ivory Roses, hot pink and blush Peonies, ivory Phalaenopsis Orchids, Greenery.

Maybe you've got an even more creative way to include some shiny things into your flowers but don't know how to pull it off. I'm your gal! Drop me a line and let's see how we can make it happen!
