Galaxy Orchids and Picasso Calla Lilies Featured in Custom Silk Wedding Flowers

If you live in the Midwest then you know how quickly the weather changes. Why shouldn’t my blog reflect that? Last week, I showed you a gorgeous set of winter wedding flowers, and today, I give you spring colors. Gotta keep you guessing! Tiana’s gorgeous custom flowers were for her small wedding. But don’t be fooled, this small wedding was big on impact!

These custom silk wedding flowers were designed hand in hand with me and the bride for a truly custom look. She knew she wanted Galaxy Orchids and Picasso Calla Lilies with a hint of yellow mixed in. Here bridal bouquet was a traditional tear drop cascade that was bursting with color and variety. It included the Callas and Orchids along with lavender and white Roses, Baby’s Breath, yellow Forsythia, purple Heather Fern and Lamb’s Ear. She also wanted some bling, so I added in some larger scale rhinestones throughout to give it some shine.

The toss bouquet was much smaller but still contained all the same elements in a round handtied style bouquet.

We used all the colors to fill out both the boutonnieres and corsages.

This custom altar arrangement was a garland with Lamb’s Ear as the base, ivory and lavender Roses, lavender Heather, Picasso Calla Lilies, Galaxy Orchids, Forsythia and Fern and was almost 6’ long. This would grace a table at the front of their venue. An arrangement like this is so versatile because you can have someone move it to the reception site after the ceremony is done. Lay it on your head table, along the gift table, around the cake, or even down the center of a banquet style table.

Lavender, Violet, and Ivory Silk Wedding Flowers

Lavender has been another hot color this year. And what’s fun is that my brides have chosen some really pretty ways to accent the lavender. This custom silk cascading bridal bouquet is a great example of using a pastel color in a mix of wedding flowers and textures so that it doesn’t feel dated or too muted.

I used a violet Phalaenopsis Orchid along with lavender and ivory Roses with some Smilax for a pop of green. I really like how the contrast between the ivory and violet is bridged by that soft lavender.

Antique white ribbon for a bridal touch.

The matching bridesmaid bouquet was a really pretty mix of lavender Roses, a few violet Orchids and Smilax. I wrapped the handle with Rosewater ribbon which is a nice in between pink and purple shade. It was a perfect fit on for this bouquet.

The cute little toss bouquet incorporated ivory and lavender Roses and violet Orchids. I wrapped the handle in Antique White satin ribbon and added tails in Rosewater.

My husband, Cliff, recently worked with you in recreating my wedding bouquet for our fourth wedding anniversary. Our special day was last Friday, November 8, and as expected, I was surprised and touched with this incredibly thoughtful gift. I was completely taken away, not only by the tremendous resemblance in sight, but also how remarkably similar this bouquet was in weight to the original. If I close my eyes, I can actually believe I’m holding the exact bouquet from 4 years ago! Your work and your attention to detail is extraordinary; you are so very talented! Cliff also spoke highly of your customer service and the great time and patience you took in working with him to ensure that this project turned out perfect. I personally thank you for creating this beautiful reminder of our wedding day, and for all the assistance you gave Cliff to help him make our day so special.

Turning a Bridal Bouquet into a Display Arrangement in Silk Wedding Flowers

Sometimes recreating a bridal bouquet exactly as it was isn’t what the customer is looking for. Whether it’s the shape or size of the bouquet, sometimes a change is a great option for displaying this permanently in your home. That’s what Jacob was looking for in a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk wedding flowers. He sent me a couple photos of his wife’s bouquet and said that since the original had been quite large, he was looking to reduce the overall size to make it a nice display size for their home.

The original bouquet consisted of ivory Roses, Shasta Daisies, Baby’s Breath, Bells of Ireland and Greens with a sheer wrap and bow.

Wedding Bouquet Bling in Silk Flowers- Part 2

So last week I showed you a beautiful cascading silk wedding bouquet with 3 types of bling. This week we are going to Supersize It! This is the point where Oprah comes out and says, "YOU get a broach, and YOU get a broach, and YOUUUUUUU get a broach!!!!"  Take a look and you'll see what I'm talking about;)

This beautiful silk flower bridal bouquet is simply stunning. With hot pink and blush Peonies, ivory roses, and magenta Tulips it has all the summer wedding vibes the bride was looking for. She also requested some broaches tucked in there. Five medium broaches and 6 small broaches added a ton of shine in the bouquet. And if that wasn't enough, we added on that beautiful bejeweled sleeve to cover up the stems. This eye-catching piece is by Body Werk Jewels.

Here's a peek at one of the bridesmaid bouquets with the bridal. You can see I added in some small rhinestones into the bridesmaids bouquets. It gives them a little somethin' somethin' without taking anything away from the bridal bouquet.

Bridesmaid Bouquet: Ivory Roses, hot pink and blush Peonies, ivory Phalaenopsis Orchids, Greenery.

Maybe you've got an even more creative way to include some shiny things into your flowers but don't know how to pull it off. I'm your gal! Drop me a line and let's see how we can make it happen!
