Tropical Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Cory’s custom bridal bouquet recreation was a fun one to make. I love the bright colors and the high contrast in this round handtied bouquet. They were married in Jamaica at The Couple Negril resort. What I like about this bouquet is that it has touches of tropical but also has a classic look to it. Let’s take a look at these photo by Jason Thorpe!

The original bridal bouquet was a round handtied style bouquet with a mix of: white Dahlia, Baby's Breath,-purple Dendrobium Orchids, Leather Leaf Fern, plum Mini Daisies, lime Garden Roses, white Mini Carnations, and a few white Dendrobium Orchids.

Erin did an amazing job recreating the wedding bouquet for my wife for our 4th anniversary. We got married in Jamaica and could not bring our wedding bouquet home to the US. Erin was able to match the flower species in the bouquet perfectly using only a few photos I sent her from our wedding. I feel like the service alone of knowing what the flowers were was worth more than the price I paid for the bouquet. The bouquet looks amazingly like the original wedding bouquet, and doesn’t look like the normal “fake” flowers I have seen. My wife was blown away by how beautiful the bouquet looked. I would definitely recommend Erin and Love Is Blooming to anyone!!!

Turning a Bridal Bouquet into a Display Arrangement in Silk Wedding Flowers

Sometimes recreating a bridal bouquet exactly as it was isn’t what the customer is looking for. Whether it’s the shape or size of the bouquet, sometimes a change is a great option for displaying this permanently in your home. That’s what Jacob was looking for in a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk wedding flowers. He sent me a couple photos of his wife’s bouquet and said that since the original had been quite large, he was looking to reduce the overall size to make it a nice display size for their home.

The original bouquet consisted of ivory Roses, Shasta Daisies, Baby’s Breath, Bells of Ireland and Greens with a sheer wrap and bow.

Burgundy, Navy and Ivory Silk Wedding Flowers

Burgundy and Navy have been on the hot trend train in bridal bouquets and wedding flowers for most of the last year and a half. I’ve done several silk wedding flowers incorporating these colors together, but never like together, together. It’s always been using navy as a slight accent or with the ribbon. So my challenge with these wedding flowers was to make sure that these bouquets in no way made anyone want to stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance. There is a reason these colors look great together, but that’s not what we were going for.

Navy can be limiting in your wedding flowers, but not impossible! I found these dark blue roses and then a lighter dusty blue heather to include more blue tones. The burgundy Ranunculus added the perfect amount of moodiness for these fall wedding flowers without it being too much. The ivory roses, peonies and daisies provided great contrast for the darker colors to really pop against. I chose a darker greenery, Smilax, to keep the dark jewel tones and maintain the overall feel of these flowers.

The boutonnieres and corsages had ivory roses as their base because they are perfect for that. Then a little navy accent here, a dash of burgundy there and a sprinkle of rhinestones made for some really classy personal flowers.
