Bridal Bouquet Recreation for Daughter's Anniversary

Happy New Year! Maybe a bouquet recreation is a new idea to you, so here’s a great example to introduce this unique gift idea. A few times now, I’ve had moms come to me wanting to recreate their daughter’s bridal bouquet for a gift. But that’s even more fun when she comes back for her other daughter’s bridal bouquet! Customer Rosanne, reached out to me a few years after ordering from me to place a second order and of course I was happy to help! Her daughter’s bouquet was a classic mix of white Roses, Spray Roses, and Calla Lilies with a mix of Fern, Smilax and Eucalyptus in a dramatic cascading bouquet. Rosanne worked closely with me to get just the right size of flowers, shape of the draping and placement of the feature flowers to get it just right! Let’s compare with these photos from the photographer at Jackson Zimmerman Photography.

When the package arrived last week, I opened the top to peek in, but was too afraid to even take it out and mess it up before gifting it!

I finally got to witness it’s beauty… and my daughter’s JOY in opening it today!! SHE ABSOLUTELTY LOVES IT!!!! It’s perfect :)!

The photos you sent didn’t really do it justice… Stunning! It looks so real in every sense.

I purchased a plain cylinder vase in the dimensions you suggested, and my daughter already has it displayed on her fireplace mantle.. (out of reach of toddler for now!) At some point, she may move it to entryway table…

Also, I just found out that the traditional anniversary gift for 4th anniversary is fruit and/or flowers… so this was spot on besides!!

Thanks again for your patience and extra care to make it just right for her.

A lifetime treasure! Keep up the beautiful work!
— Rosanne | New York

Getting the right shape of the bouquet is important and Rosanne gave me lots of great feedback based on the photos and from her memory of the wedding day.

Navy and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I am excited to show you today’s wedding because it’s a great example of a classy and subtle way to include something you like into your wedding flowers. Bride Jenni mentioned that her soon-to-be-husband was a Notre Dame fame and they wanted to include to bring that into their wedding flowers, they wanted to incorporate Kelly Green and Navy, along with white. Let’s take a look at how we accomplished that in these photos by Lindy Heiss at Vision of Beauty.

Here’s our sweet bride Jenni with her illuminating smile! Her round handtied bridal bouquet was a mix of white Roses, white Anemone with navy centers, white Heather, navy Roses, Fern and Ficus. They are such a happy looking couple!

Jenni’s daughters were a part of their special day and each carried mini bouquets that included the same mix of flowers and greens as the bridal bouquet.

After visiting several local florists who told me my vision bouquet just wasn’t possible, I found Erin. Without ever meeting in person, she was able to take the vision in my mind and create it perfectly. My bouquet was exactly what I was hoping for, and the small bouquets for my two daughters were the perfect size. All three bouquets are now on display in our home, and I love that they will last a lifetime.

Sunflower Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal

I’m writing this on the official first day of summer and today is July 4th, but I happen to be sharing an example of wedding flowers from a fall wedding, last year. Take note of the fact that these silk bridal and bridesmaid bouquets could easily fit into a summer wedding. The colors are bright and vibrant, with a lush look that could work for either season! These images are by the talented Dayna Quimby Photography.

The bridal bouquet was loose handtied mix of Sunflowers, burgundy Dahlia and Peonies, orange Dahlia and Ranunculus, yellow Heather and touch of navy Delphinium. I added a variety of greenery that worked so well with their outdoor ceremony site. The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet. We finished them all off with some burlap wrapped around the stems for a rustic touch.

I absolutely loved the detail on her wedding dress! And this back drop of a beautiful wooded area makes the dresses and flowers really pop!

Thanks again to my awesome bride, for her version of vibrant fall silk wedding flowers and to Dayna Quimby Photography for these lovely images. If you are looking for a different take on fall silk wedding flowers, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today!

Dusty Blue and Sunflowers in Custom Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Dusty blue is a hot color right now for silk bridal bouquets, and I’ve mixed it with everything from blush, to burgundy, to gold, to peach! The wedding I’m sharing with you today was a gorgeous outdoor wedding in Florida that was full of texture and color and just so lovely. Take a look at these images from Imely Photography and Video.

Katie’s gorgeous modified cascading silk bridal bouquet was a mix of Sunflowers, dusty blue Roses, ivory mini Cabbage Roses, yellow Astilbe, Queen Anne’s Lace, Fern and Ficus greenery. She wanted some pearl accent so we went with some larger scale pearl picks to just add that little bit of glam to her bouquet. A lovely bouquet for a beautiful bride!

The two bridesmaid bouquets were round handtied style bouquets with the same mix of flowers as the bridal bouquet. We left the pearls out so they were just special to Katie’s bouquet.

Katie had the most amazing venue for her big day. This awesome entryway to the ceremony site had window boxes on either side of the doors. I created small garlands to lay in there with a few of the feature flowers and greenery for accent.

The arbor was a rustic wood piece that I created big, lush corner swag and a smaller vertical piece for the side. Peep those palms leaves in the back-so unique!

Katie had hanging jars for the ends of each row of benches. I created small bouquets for each one and all she had to do was drop it in the jars! And what’s great about pieces like this is that you can use them elsewhere in your décor-scroll down to see how they transferred seamlessly to her reception tables.

I found Erin online looking for wedding flowers. Sunflowers with blue flowers were very rare to find but I ended up coming across a beautiful bouquet that was the colors I wanted but not exactly what I was looking for. When id read more through her page I had reached out and asked for the specifics. I wanted blue flowers and sunflowers with a very small amount of white but more added greenery and if possible somehow added accents of lace and pearls. Erin absolutely hit exactly what i wanted out of the park. She consulted with me while they were being done to make sure i was getting exactly what i wanted (actually better than i ever could have expected) and they came well before the wedding, so no nervous bride! I also did all the decorating for my wedding and the ties on these flowers and the easy drop ins for my mason jars made for an easy experience. I love that i get to keep these beautiful pieces as well and use them now as décor for my home as we couldn’t give them up and found a way to insert them into our lives daily. The fact that they are so tastefully done and not over the top made that easy for us as well. The price was also perfect and well worth it! I wouldn’t change one thing about how beautiful her flowers tied our wedding together! Thank you Erin for such an amazing and easy experience.
— Katie | Florida

A couple of the guys’ boutonnieres.

The cake flowers were small clusters of Sunflowers, dusty blue Roses and accent flowers, Queen Anne’s Lace and greenery. Katie also incorporated some of her own décor that all looked so good together!

Thank you again to Imely Photography for these stunning images and to Katie for being so easy to work with. Does this color palette inspire you? Fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today for a quote.

Rust, Taupe, and Burgundy Fall Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

Remember when I shared Tiara’s wedding flowers with you a few weeks ago? Her wedding flowers prominently featured taupe in her color scheme along with burgundy. Here’s another beautiful wedding that incorporated taupe along with rust, peach, burgundy and ivory in this gorgeous outdoor wedding.

A huge thank you to Lisa Sherwood Photography for these breathtaking photos!

The bridal bouquet was a combination of rust Roses, apricot Roses, peach Cabbage Roses, burgundy Dahlia, taupe Roses and Orchids, sage Fern, Sword and Seeded Eucalyptus. Her bouquet was a full, moody, but lively round handtied style bridal bouquet.

Her altar was picture perfect, so we had just a few custom altar arrangements to complement that beautiful, natural backdrop for their day.

This fall wedding is a great example of another way to “do” fall flowers. We incorporated some of the favorite fall colors (burgundy and orange), but added some surprising elements like lots of texture and taupe flowers. If you are looking for a unique take on a seasonal look, silk wedding flowers might be just your thing! Fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist to share your ideas with me!

Burgundy and Taupe Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

One of the up and coming hot colors is a surprising choice - it’s taupe! It’s a wonderfully warm neutral that goes with a variety of accent colors and adds an unexpected richness to wedding decor. Today, I get to share with you a great example of incorporating taupe into wedding flowers. Tiara had an awesome vision for her custom silk wedding flowers that included texture, neutrals and burgundy. I showed her a variety of options, and she pretty much said “Yes!” to all of them! Let’s take a look at the magazine-worthy images Tiara sent me from the photographer who captured her day so beautifully: Narvold Photography.

Tiara’s modified cascade style bridal bouquet was a mix of taupe and coffee colored Roses, burgundy Roses, Peonies and Calla Lilies, Cynara pods, Thistle, burgundy Amaranthus, sage Fern, mauve Queen Anne’s Lace seeds, Seeded Eucalyptus and beige Heather. It was a STUNNER!

Erin is absolutely fantastic to work with and she created the most beautiful bouquets for my wedding. After sending her a few photos and ideas she was able to visualize and create exactly what I was looking for and more! I highly recommend!
— Tiara | Minnesota

The bridesmaids were wearing beautiful burgundy dresses and carried handtied versions of Tiara’s bouquet. I even made mini bouquets for the flower girls.

Fall Silk Wedding Flowers in the Mountains - Reveal and Review

I am thrilled to be able to share Ally’s beautiful custom silk wedding flowers from her fall wedding near Mt. Hood, Washington. Not only is she stunning, but the backdrop for her wedding is to die for! Take a look at these amazing photos from Terra Lange Photography.

Ally’s bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with a mix of yellow Peonies, burgundy Peonies, orange Dahlia, orange Cosmos, burgundy berries, sage Fern, twigs, Seeded Eucalyptus, Cynara pods and Magnolia greenery. It was textured and lush and full and perfect for an outdoor wedding.

One of the things I loved about working with Ally is that every idea she had was well thought out. Her bridesmaids were wearing these glamorous velvet-y dresses in 3 different jewel tones, and she wanted simple hoop bouquets to complement them. We choose just a few of the flowers and greens for the gold metal hoop bouquets for a modern but classy take on bridesmaid bouquets.

Not to be left out, her flower girls each carried smaller versions of the hoop bouquets

I was looking for flowers that looked real, and would last forever as I wanted to use them in my home after the wedding. I’m so glad I found love is blooming. They came out absolutely beautifully! She helped me pick flowers and greenery based of my limited knowledge and color scheme. She was very easy to work with and responsive and was also very kind and patient with me. The shipping was timely and the finished product was exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely hire again.
— Ally | Washington

Ally used a combination of custom silk wedding altar pieces for her unique round altar and fresh fall flowers and pumpkins. The draped fabric added such texture and softness!

Dramatic Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

A few weeks ago, I shared Kendra’s lush silk wedding flowers in burgundy and blue. I loved the drama of her silk bridal bouquet! And lucky for us she shared her wedding photos with me so that I could show all of you! Be sure and check out her extremely talented photography, based here in Twin Cities, Laura Calvo Photography.

Here is my stunning bride Kendra! And I guess we can talk about the bouquet too;) This modified cascade style bouquet was overflowing with Silver Dollar and Seeded Eucalyptus, Ruscus, Fern, blue Thistle, white Roses, and deep burgundy Dahlias. She had a very specific vision for her bouquet and we worked closely together to find the perfect flowers and greens to bring that vision to life.

The bridesmaids carried loose handtied round style bouquets with a single burgundy Dahlia, a few Roses and Thistle and the same mix of greenery. We wanted to mimic the wilder look of Kendra’s bouquet without too much draping. Each bouquet is similar but the greenery falls in different ways giving it a cohesive but varied look.

HIGHLY recommend Love is Blooming! I had attempted to work with two different florists to recreate a bouquet from a picture I found on Pinterest, that I absolutely loved! Neither were able to create anything even remotely similar to the picture, and I thought I was going to have to give up on my vision. But then I found Erin at Love is Blooming, and she went above and beyond to create a gorgeous bouquet for myself, as well as beautiful matching bouquets for my bridal party! She provided great communication throughout her entire creation process and I couldn’t be happier with how they all turned out!
— Kendra | Minnesota

A huge thank you to Kendra and again to her amazing photographer for allowing the use of these images. If you are interested in a dramatic bouquet to carry down the aisle or maybe you have a very specific vision for your custom silk wedding flowers, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today!

Alaskan Destination Wedding-Reveal and Review

Bohemian, or boho, style bouquets have been all the rage the last year or two. This bridal bouquet is a great example of this style. Take a look at these amazing photos by Dallin and Cienna of bride Roxanna and her crew. Roxanna is from my area but drove out to Alaska for her destination wedding. How cool is that?!

Her modified cascade style silk bridal bouquet was a muted mix of beige, peach, and ivory Roses, Peonies, and Delphinium. We didn’t want anything too traditional look so we added lots of natural textures provided by the Artichoke, Amaranthus, Wheat, Fern and Sword Eucalyptus. To complete the look, I tied lots of ribbon tails in different shades of champagne and ivory. Roxanna was awesome at communicating her style with me and I think we did a great job working together to create a bouquet that matched her dress and her surroundings.

Working with Erin was a heaven sent for me! By that I mean I had a very specific idea in my vision for my bouquet. Although it was very hard for me to explain. We went through quite a few trials until we absolutely nailed it! She was so unbelievably patient, and kind throughout our process. I am so grateful to have worked with her, and I highly recommend!
— Roxanna | Minnesota

The bridesmaids carried simple bouquets of white Peonies and Olive greenery. I love the way they accentuated the variety of their dress colors.

Backpacking with a Silk Bridal Bouquet- Part 1

You may remember this wedding I did a few months ago for a bride and her crew that were hiking into the Northwoods of Minnesota for their wedding. I thought that was such an interesting concept and was surprised again to book a job for a silk bridal bouquet and boutonniere that was also going to be backpacking to their ceremony site for an elopement. This time it was in Rocky Mountain National Park. Ashlynn wanted her bouquet to be lush and filled with color and texture for a wildflower look. We talked through her ideas, looked at inspiration photos and came up with a pretty long list of things to include. You can see from my photos that every square inch of this bouquet had something interesting in it!

Fern, Thistle, Ranunculus, Forget-Me-Nots, Roses, Daisies, Mini Daisies, Larkspur, Queen Anne’s Lace, Red berries, Columnea, Lavender Seeds, mixed Greens and the kitchen sink! Can’t you just imagine this strapped to a backpack on its way to a mountain top ceremony?

The groom’s boutonniere was a toast colored Rose bud with mini Daisies, a touch of Fern and greens and finished off with twine for a rustic look. Perfect for the great outdoors! Ashlynn wanted her bouquet wrapped in lace which I think matched really well to all the texture in her bouquet.

Do you have a destination wedding planned that’s not tropical and want to talk about ideas for your flowers? Silk wedding flowers are a great option because you don’t have to worry about heat or cold or anything affecting your flowers! These hardy specimens can make it up a mountain and back again. Contact me today to talk about silk flowers for a destination wedding!

Dusty Rose, Cream and Green Silk Wedding Flowers- Part 1

Dusty Rose might be the star of 2021 for bridal bouquets. It’s one of those colors that is soft, romantic, and a little out of the ordinary so it really stands out! Kourtney’s flowers are a great example of incorporating dusty rose into your silk wedding flowers as an accent and feature.

Kourtney’s bridal bouquet was a mix of custom dyed Roses in dusty Rose, ivory Garden Roses, ivory Cabbage Roses, white seeds, Fern and lots of Eucalyptus in a modified cascade style. Big and beautiful, this bouquet was a show-stopper!

The bridesmaid dresses were a shade of dusty rose, so Kourtney requested that their bouquets be a mix of cream and green. These simple style bouquets would allow Kourtney’s bouquet to stand out even more and for the bridesmaid dresses to be a great accent to the bridal bouquet as well. The flower girls had their own sweet mini bouquets of a single cabbage Rose and greenery.

Kourtney included a few custom honorary arrangements to honor family members who had passed away. These bouquet style arrangements are designed to be able to drop into vases that Kourtney purchased on her own. I wrapped them with a green ribbon so that if the vases were clear, the ribbon would blend in nicely with the stems.

The boutonnieres and corsages were a mix of cream flowers and a few dusty rose colored flowers mixed in. But all were simple and classic styles. These photos are to show how all the personal flowers come labeled, so that whoever is handing them out or doing the pinning knows who they are for.

Check back later this week to see some amazing photos that Kourtney sent me from her wedding day, you won’t want to miss it!

White Silk Wedding Flowers with Greenery- Part 2 Larger Scale Blooms

Earlier this week, I showed you some white silk wedding flowers with greenery that had a delicate, almost lacy look. Today is about impact and contrast! These weddings flowers and bridal bouquet used larger scale blooms to fill out the bouquets. The added greenery really stood out against all the white for an eye-catching look!

The bridal bouquet was a round ball style bouquet with white Roses and Tulips and a mix of Columnea Fern, Ficus and Rose Greens.

The bridesmaid bouquets were smaller versions of the bridal bouquet. All bouquets were wrapped with white satin ribbon.

The toss bouquet was a clutch size version of the bridal bouquet with just a few roses and tulips with a touch of greenery.

The boutonnieres were very clean and classy white tulips and spray roses with the same greenery and ribbon.

Are you considering the classic route of white/ivory flowers for your wedding? What did you think of this weeks features? If you want to talk through your ideas, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist to send me your ideas!

Sunflower Modified Cascade Silk Wedding Flowers- Part 1

Ashley’s sunflower themed silk wedding flowers were a fun challenge for me. I’ve done lots of different sunflower themed bouquets (just head over to my blog and do a quick search for more examples), but Ashley wanted a bouquet that had a few more colors mixed in, lots of greenery and to turn a cascade bouquet on its head, quite literally. As you can see below, instead of the traditional vertical tear drop of a cascade, we spread out the bouquet side to side for a very unique take on a cascade bouquet. This is exactly the type of bouquet that fits into my category of “modified cascade.” You can clearly see that it’s not a round bouquet, and not a true cascade. It has a more organic shape with draping elements. It is a showstopper!

The bridal bouquet was a mix of Sunflowers, blueberries, burgundy Mums, white Cosmos, white accent flowers, Seeded Ecualyptus, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Fern. We tied it off with Antique White satin ribbon and left some of the stems exposed for a more modern look.

The bridesmaid bouquets needed to be a matching style without as much volume. We pared back the amount of flowers and added in some navy Delphinium to deepen the color scheme to match their moody burgundy dresses. I kept the composition loose and a little wild to match the look of the bridal bouquet.

Ashley had requested that I make all of the boutonnieres and corsages different from each other, incorporating a variety of greenery and accent flowers in blue, white and burgundy. This was so fun for me, because each one is unique, but stays consistent with the look and feel of her other flowers.

Do you like the idea of unique boutonnieres and corsages? Or maybe you want a cascade that’s, well, not quite a cascade? Silk flowers allow you to have that kind of input! There’s no flipping through catalogs to pick out the same thing 1,000 other brides already picked out.

Check back in a few days to see the reveal of Ashley’s wedding day and hear what she had to say about working with me on her custom silk wedding flowers.

Modified Cascade Silk Bridal Bouquet Review

One of my favorite all time silk bridal bouquets was Lexi’s Whimsical modified cascade style bridal bouquet. It was big, bold, interesting, colorful, textural, romantic…seriously, I could go on and on about it! So when Lexi sent me some photos from her wedding day, I was so excited to share them with you! Be sure and check out their photographer, Korey J. Smith Cinematography, if you are looking for a highly talented photographer in Utah.

Wedding flowers don’t often get the consideration of scale. But can you imagine if Lexi’s bouquet had been any smaller? The enormity of the architecture around this gorgeous couple would have made a smaller bouquet disappear!

What magazine should this appear in first?? It’s a piece of art!

Working with Erin was my favorite experience in planning my wedding. I had found this picture on pinterest and kept coming back to it. I knew there was no way to recreate what I saw in this picture, or so I thought. When I showed the picture to Erin she was confident we could create it. It was so much fun, designing and creating this bouquet. With being out of state and working fully online with her, I was so impressed with how quick her turn around was. She literally found the most beautiful flowers I could have ever picked to create this dream bouquet! When she sent me images of the final product, I could not wait! When everything arrived, I was even more impressed with Erin and her work. Having everything shipped across the country also was so easy. I could tell when everything arrived, that she took such great care in creating my wedding bouquet as well as all of the other flowers I had purchased for the wedding. The day of our wedding was perfect, what was the best part was holding this beautiful bouquet of flowers! Having a summer wedding, the worry of your flowers not making it can be stressful. However, with Erin’s silk bouquet I did not have to worry! I was just able to stand tall and beautiful grinning ear to ear with the man I love and the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen!

Still almost a year later my flowers look immaculate! I am so happy I found Erin and Love is Blooming to make the most perfect wedding bouquet for my most perfect day!
— Lexi | Utah

I love seeing action shots of the flowers and aren’t these flower girls the cutest?!

These portraits of the couple are just so good!
