Tropical Elopement Bouquet Recreation - Reveal

One of the many perks of my job is getting to see some lovely tropical wedding photos! Sonya sent me a few photos of her awesome tropical bouquet from their elopement to the Virgin Islands. She wasn’t able to bring the bouquet back with her and wanted to have a permanent reminder of their special day, so we worked together to make sure her bouquet was recreated as accurately as possible. Let’s take a look at the recreation alongside some photos of the original bouquet. All photos were provided by Sonya and her photographer was a recommendation of her officiant on the island.

Sonya’s bouquet was a handtied style bridal bouquet with a mix of:

-Red Anthurium

-Bird of Paradise

-Orange Lily

-Red Protea

-Yellow Phalaenopsis Orchids

-Yellow Oncidium Orchids

-Magenta Cabbage Roses

-Purple Rose

-Yellow Pincushion Protea

-Seeded Eucalyptus

-Salal Greenery

-Ficus Greens

It was fun to recreate this tropical elopement bouquet for display in Sonya’s home! And the best part is that I unknowingly sent her the progress photos the day before her anniversary. It was a really special surprise for her and fun for me since I had no idea!

Did you elope and then have to leave your bouquet behind? A custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers is a great idea for preserving that memory! Read more about it here!

Colorful Silk Wedding Flowers for an Outdoor Wedding - Reveal & Review

We’re well into fall already, but spring inspiration is already here! Today’s custom silk wedding flowers were so fun to design with the bride, Megan! She wanted a wildflower look that incorporated various varieties from Texas, Washington and Alabama. What we came up with, together, is a design that is bright, fun, whimsical and a nod to places that are special to the couple. Let’s take a look at some images from their photographer Saul with The One Awaits.

Megan’s bouquet was a modified cascade style with a mix of orange Lilies, Bluebonnets, magenta Aster, Poppies in a variety of colors, magenta Waxflower, white Seeds, purple Delphinium, peach Dahlia, yellow Ranunculus, white Peonies, Eucalyptus, and some small mix greens for filler and for the cascade. Here’s an up close photo I took to give a better idea of all the varieties and textures in her bouquet.

For the bridesmaid bouquets we used the same mix of flowers, except I swapped out the white Peonies for a smaller more delicate flower-white Stephanotis. I love that the colors still pop against their patterned dresses but work with their overall color scheme and wedding themes.

Erin was brilliant! All my flowers turned out brilliantly! They were luscious, colorful, and exactly what I wanted! Erin was creative in coming up with options for flowers and worked with my vision to produce beautiful flower arrangements that will last!

Here’s our happy couple! The groom’s boutonniere featured Bluebell, Waxflower, Poppy and greens.

Silk Flower Aisle Arrangements and Centerpieces Do Double Duty!

I absolutely love the versatility that custom silk wedding flowers affords brides of any budget. Maricel reached out to me about a unique idea for ceremony and reception silk flowers. When she emailed me, she asked, “We were wondering if it would be possible to make the aisle arrangements in such a way that it could be broken apart into smaller pieces and reused as table decor during the reception?”

Her idea was both creative and budget friendly, and you know I’m all about both of those things! They were planning on using wood boxes for both the ceremony decor and centerpiece containers, so that was an easy way to make sure that what I created would fit both spaces. Let’s take a look at what I came up with for Maricel’s silk flower aisle arrangements and centerpieces so they could do double duty! Here are some lovely photos by Andrew Do Photography!

All of the arrangements consisted of a variety of white and champagne flowers, touches of blush pink and greenery. We included white Lilies, mini Cabbage Roses, Phalaenopsis Orchids and Gardenia in white, champagne Hydrangea, pink Peonies, Garden Roses and Eucalyptus, lush green Fern and Ruscus. Each aisle piece was actually two smaller arrangements placed together for a nice full look.

For the reception, they just needed a few helping hands to grab the aisle arrangements, separate the two small bouquets and place each one in a container on the reception tables. Easy and budget friendly!

Erin was incredibly responsive, creative, and resourceful. She truly made our vision come true. She also remained patient, flexible and transparent about what was possible with our budget. I would recommend her to anyone looking for truly unique floral arrangements for their special moments in life.

Jewel Tone Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

Getting to work with local couples is always fun because I get to meet them in person when they pick up their flowers. And if I’m really lucky, I get to run into them in the wild, like I did at my son’s basketball tournament recently! Amber was so easy to work with to create her custom silk wedding flower designs and so it was extra fun to see her again and meet her husband and their sweet kiddos in a school gym, of all places! She had just sent me these photos a few days before, so it was great timing to be able to share their wedding day with you! Let’s take a look at these awesome photos by Abigail Niemann Photography.

Our happy couple who look like they are having the best day ever in these pictures! Amber’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of emerald green Roses, white Lilies, purple Mums, burgundy and magenta Roses, cream Ranunculus, berry Tea Roses, Succulents, Lamb’s Ear and Eucalyptus. I loved this color combination, especially with that pop of magenta in there!

The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets in a smaller handtied style. We did simplify them so that only the bridal bouquet had Liles and Succulents. That just meant Amber’s bouquet stood out even more!

I love the celebration here!

Dark Purple Silk Wedding Flowers

Winett contacted me several months ago for her May 2019 wedding. We had lots of time to work on ideas, but she was eager to get it figured it out and check it off the list. So even though I’m writing this in November, her silk wedding flowers have been finished for about a week-Christmas is coming early for Winett!

As you may know, or maybe you don’t, purple is one of the hardest colors to work with. It can border on being pink, or red, or blue. So one of my approaches is to use a variety of shades for both an interesting and non-clashy look.

Winett knew she wanted to incorporate orchids, specifically Dendrobiums, so I hunted until I found the perfect ones. I then made some suggestions to include other orchids, Calla Lilies, Anemone, Sweet Pea and another type of Lily. Winett loves her flowers and so do I!

Bridal bouquet in cascading style and bridesmaids in handtied style.

Winett kept her flowers simple and instead of giving boutonnieres and corsages out, she kept to her main girls: the bridesmaids and the flower girls. Below you can see a bouquet and pomander for her flower girls. We kept the same color scheme but switched up some of the flowers.

Have a tricky color scheme you are working with? Silk flowers offer a wide variety of colors and types and all year round too! That’s just one of the many benefits of ordering custom silk wedding flowers. Fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today to get a quote for your unique and custom silk wedding flowers.

Bridal Bouquet Recreation with Lilies

Justin’s wife’s bouquet was a simple mix of Lilies, Heather and greenery. The beautiful gold bow really set it apart.

When I sent Justin a preliminary photo of his silk wedding bouquet recreation, he felt like it was missing the Lily buds and enough greenery around the bottom. So with a little tweaking we got it just right. Take a look!

Lilies were a popular flower for recreations in September! Check out last week’s blog post to see another example of a bridal bouquet recreation that incorporated Lilies. Contact me today for a free quote for your bouquet recreation!

Tropical Silk Wedding Bouquet Recreation

Recently I’ve recreated several silk wedding bouquets from tropical weddings. Whether domestic or international, their bouquets couldn’t come back with them. Heather wanted to have her bouquet recreated, so she sent me a couple of photos and I was able to recreate her Lily, Cornflower and Orchid bouquet.

Here is the original bouquet. Photos by Weddings to Go! Key West.

I’m very happy with my bouquet recreation! Erin was amazing to work with and I’d highly recommend her if this is something you are interested in. She responded to my initial inquiry very quickly and verified all information (including costs) up front. I loved how she kept me updated along the way with pictures to make sure I was satisfied with the progress, and got all the little details perfect, including the satin wrap over the stems. I also received it almost a month before she initially estimated. I’ve already recommended her to several of my friends, 5 stars all around! If you want your bouquet recreated definitely use Erin, you won’t be disappointed!

Heather had a close up shot of the handle of her bouquet that she sent me. It was awesome because I was able to get that detail just right for her. Sometimes those little things are important too!

Here’s one last look at this stunning bouquet!

Heather was so easy to work with, super responsive in providing feedback and so sweet! This is why I love what I do!

Tropical Wedding Reception Back Home

Hearing back from my clients is always such a treat. Take a look at these beautiful photos and read about Caitlyn's story here.

Hey Erin,

It’s been a little while, but I just wanted to let you know that your bouquet was a total hit at my Hawaiian-themed reception back in November. None of the guests had any clue that it wasn’t real, and everyone was amazed with your quality of work (including myself)!

The bouquet is proudly displayed on my mantle now, and it brings me so much happiness every time I look at it. Thank you for bringing that tropical piece of my wedding back to life for me. You’re awesome!

Rustic Barn Wedding Flowers with a Glam Twist

Tracy wanted her fall wedding to full of rustic barn accents and glamour, but not the usual glitz and bling. When she emailed me this spring about her wedding flowers, she painted a very vivid picture of their theme. I'll let her tell it in her own words.

" Just to give you a feel for the wedding, it will be in a renovated barn. But the theme is old time gangster meeting his sweetheart at a hideout because things were too hot back in the city."

Do you not just love that?! With that story in mind, we worked to find flowers that went with that theme, incorporated her colors, and followed the style of some inspiration photos she sent me. Here's what we came up with:

The Bridal Bouquet

Tracy will be carrying a teardrop bouquet with burgundy Lilies, purple Roses, purple and lavender Hydrangea, orange Button Mums, and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

The Bridesmaid Bouquets

Her three bridesmaids will carry a bouquet with matching flowers but in a loose round style bouquet with a single featured Lily. She had a couple of other arrangements she ordered that I crafted with the same flowers and that tie it all together.

The Wedding Cake

Not exactly a Pinterest-worthy setup, but shows off the beautiful cascade of flowers that will be added to their wedding cake.

And the flower girls...

Tracy's two flower girls are going to be wearing these adorable floral head pieces, modeled by my daughter. Apparently her Vikings jersey was a good match for modeling these pieces--girl loves watching football with her daddy;)
