White, Nude and Sage Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Megan is a sweet local bride who helped me design the sweetest custom silk wedding flower arrangements for her Twin Cities wedding. When she first reached out to me, she didn’t have a specific color palette except that she wanted to incorporate white and also mentioned wanting to include a flower that looked like a Marigold. She took some time to browse my blog and sent me some of her favorite styles, including:

Let’s take a look at the gorgeous photos she sent me from her photographer: Eric Vest Photography. If you are local to the Twin Cities, be sure and check him out if you need a photographer for your wedding day!

Megan’s bridal bouquet was a loose, round style with a mix of white and nude Roses, white Mums (close in shape to those Marigolds), white Baby’s Breath and Seeds and some soft sage green Lamb’s Ear for greenery.

The groom’s boutonniere was a Nude Rose, white Seeds and Baby's breath, Lamb's Ear and matching ribbon on the stem

We got SO many compliments on the flowers Erin made for us and feel so grateful and fortunate that we had an opportunity to work with her. THANK YOU, Erin, for making the most impeccable flowers and making our wedding flower dreams come true!!

Jewel Tone Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

Getting to work with local couples is always fun because I get to meet them in person when they pick up their flowers. And if I’m really lucky, I get to run into them in the wild, like I did at my son’s basketball tournament recently! Amber was so easy to work with to create her custom silk wedding flower designs and so it was extra fun to see her again and meet her husband and their sweet kiddos in a school gym, of all places! She had just sent me these photos a few days before, so it was great timing to be able to share their wedding day with you! Let’s take a look at these awesome photos by Abigail Niemann Photography.

Our happy couple who look like they are having the best day ever in these pictures! Amber’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of emerald green Roses, white Lilies, purple Mums, burgundy and magenta Roses, cream Ranunculus, berry Tea Roses, Succulents, Lamb’s Ear and Eucalyptus. I loved this color combination, especially with that pop of magenta in there!

The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets in a smaller handtied style. We did simplify them so that only the bridal bouquet had Liles and Succulents. That just meant Amber’s bouquet stood out even more!

I love the celebration here!

Cascading Round Handtied Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Today’s bouquet recreation is a dramatic round handtied bouquet with draping Amaranthus! What a beauty! Laura sent me some photos of her beautiful bouquet in shades of red and burgundy and nude pink, and I was able to examine each photo for all the elements that needed to show up in her recreation. Let’s take a look at the recreation alongside some photos by Denis Gostev Photography.

Laura sent me the write up from her florist that listed red Mums, dark red Roses, burgundy Snapdragon, burgundy Amaranthus, champagne Sahara Roses, seeded Eucalyptus and gold painted Hypericum Berries. It was such a beautiful bouquet, full of drama and texture and richness!

Such an amazing service! Erin did an amazing job at flawlessly replicating my wedding bouquet with silk flowers. She was very easy to work with as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to re-experience the joy of their wedding bouquet!

Fall Silk Wedding Flowers in the Mountains - Reveal and Review

I am thrilled to be able to share Ally’s beautiful custom silk wedding flowers from her fall wedding near Mt. Hood, Washington. Not only is she stunning, but the backdrop for her wedding is to die for! Take a look at these amazing photos from Terra Lange Photography.

Ally’s bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with a mix of yellow Peonies, burgundy Peonies, orange Dahlia, orange Cosmos, burgundy berries, sage Fern, twigs, Seeded Eucalyptus, Cynara pods and Magnolia greenery. It was textured and lush and full and perfect for an outdoor wedding.

One of the things I loved about working with Ally is that every idea she had was well thought out. Her bridesmaids were wearing these glamorous velvet-y dresses in 3 different jewel tones, and she wanted simple hoop bouquets to complement them. We choose just a few of the flowers and greens for the gold metal hoop bouquets for a modern but classy take on bridesmaid bouquets.

Not to be left out, her flower girls each carried smaller versions of the hoop bouquets

I was looking for flowers that looked real, and would last forever as I wanted to use them in my home after the wedding. I’m so glad I found love is blooming. They came out absolutely beautifully! She helped me pick flowers and greenery based of my limited knowledge and color scheme. She was very easy to work with and responsive and was also very kind and patient with me. The shipping was timely and the finished product was exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely hire again.

Ally used a combination of custom silk wedding altar pieces for her unique round altar and fresh fall flowers and pumpkins. The draped fabric added such texture and softness!

Funky Beach Wedding Bridal Bouquet - Destination Wedding

Beach wedding flowers in silk bridal bouquets typically have a very tropical and bright vibe to them. But what if you want an element of funk? Maybe with some unexpected textures? And what if your color palette is more moody than bright? I introduce you to Candace’s flowers!

Candace’s stunning bridal bouquet was a mix of dark burgundy spider Mums, beige Peonies, dusty pink Succulents, and a huge mix of greenery. This bouquet was especially fun because Candace really let me run with her ideas and I gave her some pretty out-of-the-box suggestions. She was totally game and said yes to them all. She wasn’t really sure what she wanted for ribbon, so once again I stepped out on a limb and added….them all! Well not really ALL the ribbon I had, but a lot of colors in her palette in both satin, sheer and muslin textures. I left them pretty long so that when Candace received the bouquet she could trim them down to whatever worked best for her dress and her height.

Candace also went the non-traditional route for the moms. She decided a mini bouquet was a great option for them to carry on her big day. Their silk clutch style bouquets were made up of a single beige Peony and Mum with greenery and wrapped with Rosewater colored satin ribbon, just one of the colors in Candace’s bouquet.

Erin worked with me so well, understanding what I envisioned even though I couldn’t describe it. Throughout COVID she kept in touch with me and made sure we were on the same page for how the arrangements were looking. Every step of the process was clearly and thoroughly described. Just picked up my arrangements and WOW ❤❤❤❤❤

Sunflower Modified Cascade Silk Wedding Flowers- Part 1

Ashley’s sunflower themed silk wedding flowers were a fun challenge for me. I’ve done lots of different sunflower themed bouquets (just head over to my blog and do a quick search for more examples), but Ashley wanted a bouquet that had a few more colors mixed in, lots of greenery and to turn a cascade bouquet on its head, quite literally. As you can see below, instead of the traditional vertical tear drop of a cascade, we spread out the bouquet side to side for a very unique take on a cascade bouquet. This is exactly the type of bouquet that fits into my category of “modified cascade.” You can clearly see that it’s not a round bouquet, and not a true cascade. It has a more organic shape with draping elements. It is a showstopper!

The bridal bouquet was a mix of Sunflowers, blueberries, burgundy Mums, white Cosmos, white accent flowers, Seeded Ecualyptus, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Fern. We tied it off with Antique White satin ribbon and left some of the stems exposed for a more modern look.

The bridesmaid bouquets needed to be a matching style without as much volume. We pared back the amount of flowers and added in some navy Delphinium to deepen the color scheme to match their moody burgundy dresses. I kept the composition loose and a little wild to match the look of the bridal bouquet.

Ashley had requested that I make all of the boutonnieres and corsages different from each other, incorporating a variety of greenery and accent flowers in blue, white and burgundy. This was so fun for me, because each one is unique, but stays consistent with the look and feel of her other flowers.

Do you like the idea of unique boutonnieres and corsages? Or maybe you want a cascade that’s, well, not quite a cascade? Silk flowers allow you to have that kind of input! There’s no flipping through catalogs to pick out the same thing 1,000 other brides already picked out.

Check back in a few days to see the reveal of Ashley’s wedding day and hear what she had to say about working with me on her custom silk wedding flowers.

Blush and Ivory Bridal Bouquet Recreation

Emily’s bridal bouquet was beautiful, interesting and so romantic! Roses, Orchids, Freesia, Mums and Ruscus made this elegant bouquet so soft looking and very, well, bridal! Take a look at this amazing bouquet!

Thank you so much Erin! I absolutely love my bouquet and I’m so glad I was able to find you and your services!

I had my original bouquet on display at my house but of course after a while, since it was dried, it definitely did not look nearly as pretty as it did on my wedding day and was starting to make me feel sad. I’m so happy with how the one you recreated for me turned out - it’s as beautiful as the original from my wedding and makes me so happy to see it everyday!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers Review

Erin at Love is Blooming did a great job reproducing my wife’s bridal bouquet in silk flowers for our fourth (silk) wedding anniversary. Erin was very responsive to all my questions, and we communicated seemlessly via email. The turn around time was amazing. The photos of the final product look GREAT, and I can’t wait to see it. I expect to get the silk bouquet two weeks earlier then promised. I will certainly get some big brownie points from my wife for this anniversary gift! Thanks Erin!
