White, Nude and Sage Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Megan is a sweet local bride who helped me design the sweetest custom silk wedding flower arrangements for her Twin Cities wedding. When she first reached out to me, she didn’t have a specific color palette except that she wanted to incorporate white and also mentioned wanting to include a flower that looked like a Marigold. She took some time to browse my blog and sent me some of her favorite styles, including:

Let’s take a look at the gorgeous photos she sent me from her photographer: Eric Vest Photography. If you are local to the Twin Cities, be sure and check him out if you need a photographer for your wedding day!

Megan’s bridal bouquet was a loose, round style with a mix of white and nude Roses, white Mums (close in shape to those Marigolds), white Baby’s Breath and Seeds and some soft sage green Lamb’s Ear for greenery.

The groom’s boutonniere was a Nude Rose, white Seeds and Baby's breath, Lamb's Ear and matching ribbon on the stem

We got SO many compliments on the flowers Erin made for us and feel so grateful and fortunate that we had an opportunity to work with her. THANK YOU, Erin, for making the most impeccable flowers and making our wedding flower dreams come true!!

Red, Black and Gold Renaissance Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Have you considered a themed wedding? Today’s custom silk wedding flowers are a great example of incorporating a theme, without going overboard. Lauren’s red, black and gold wedding was set at a Renaissance Fair, and I can’t wait for you to see it! We really wanted to complement her wedding dress and her groom’s attire. Let’s take a look at some photos from Kacy Hughes Photography from Lauren’s big day!!

Lauren’s wedding gown was a show stopper! With the red satin and gold overlay, it was the perfect look for Renaissance royalty! We wanted to incorporate her three wedding colors into the bouquet, with the red and gold being prominently featured. Her teardrop cascade bouquet featured red Garden Roses and Dahlia, burgundy Calla Lilies, black Skimmia Berries, gold Ruscus and black Feathers.

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did with the flowers. They matched our outfits and the aesthetic PERFECTLY! Once again, thank you so much for the wonderful work you did on our flowers. They were absolutely top-notch, and I’m looking forward to getting them shadowboxed so that we can forever keep them as decorative souvenirs.

The groom’s boutonniere was a red Garden Rose, black Skimmia Berries, gold Ruscus and black Feathers.

I had my wedding at the Renaissance Festival and wanted to have silk flowers so that I could keep them for posterity. I found Erin online and she immediately got to work. She knocked this bouquet and the boutonniere out of the park! Quick, courteous, and responsive; highly recommend her!

Emily & Steve- Summer Silk Wedding Flowers Part 2

Emily had some elements in her wedding that were fairly traditional and needed some floral touches. Of course, there was the fun and flirty toss bouquet--who's sole purpose in life is to go hurtling towards all her single friends. We decided to use the pale pink fresh touch Callas, Lily of the Valley and a little greenery to create a cute and aerodynamic bouquet. Ok, not really about that last part but it did look pretty great flying through the air.

The happy couple also had some treasured family members who weren't around to celebrate such an important day with them. They wanted to honor their lives and their impact on their families with a small family arrangement they had placed at the ceremony. We used the Peonies, Callas, and Lily of the Valley for this sentimental and sweet arrangement. Placed in a 7" silver Julep cup, it was the perfect piece for their ceremony.

Of course there were boutonnieres for the guys--Steve let us get away with one small pink peony bud;)

The groomsmen matched the Bridesmaids with their pink Calla and Lily of the Valley sprig.

Everyone looked so sharp and since I had the privilege of attending the wedding as guest and Day of Coordinator, I can personally attest to it. But (said in Reading Rainbow voice), you don't have to take my word for it!

Up next are some beautiful photographs for Emily and Steve's big day, courtesy of Brianna Colleen Photography. AND you get to hear from Emily herself about her experience with silk wedding flowers on a hot July day.

Destination: Paradise

Getting pictures from brides is a lot like Christmas morning--I see the delivery in my inbox and squeal a little bit before tearing into the e-mail. Each picture is a gift that I cherish! After spending time with a bride, whether in person or via e-mail, I love to see their big event come to fruition. And the fact that I created the flowers for such an occasion is an honor.

So without further rambling on my part, I present Carly's destination wedding. Featuring the bride and groom and their gorgeous florals.

Tomorrow's post will feature the bridal party and another fun touch Carly added to complete their perfect paradise wedding.
