White and Green Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Austin contacted me about recreating his wife’s beautiful, orchid filled bouquet for their upcoming anniversary. He sent me a few photos and I got to work finding just the right silk wedding flowers to recreate her original bridal bouquet. Let’s take a look at the original alongside the recreation!

The bouquet was a mix of white Roses and Hydrangea, white Cymbidium Orchids with Burgundy tips and green berries. It was wrapped with white satin ribbon and finished off with a neat bow.

Fall Silk Wedding Flowers in the Mountains - Reveal and Review

I am thrilled to be able to share Ally’s beautiful custom silk wedding flowers from her fall wedding near Mt. Hood, Washington. Not only is she stunning, but the backdrop for her wedding is to die for! Take a look at these amazing photos from Terra Lange Photography.

Ally’s bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with a mix of yellow Peonies, burgundy Peonies, orange Dahlia, orange Cosmos, burgundy berries, sage Fern, twigs, Seeded Eucalyptus, Cynara pods and Magnolia greenery. It was textured and lush and full and perfect for an outdoor wedding.

One of the things I loved about working with Ally is that every idea she had was well thought out. Her bridesmaids were wearing these glamorous velvet-y dresses in 3 different jewel tones, and she wanted simple hoop bouquets to complement them. We choose just a few of the flowers and greens for the gold metal hoop bouquets for a modern but classy take on bridesmaid bouquets.

Ally used a combination of custom silk wedding altar pieces for her unique round altar and fresh fall flowers and pumpkins. The draped fabric added such texture and softness!

Winter Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

It was feeling spring like until yesterday, when we woke up to 8” of snow. That was shocking, but made it easier to share this recreation. John contacted me about recreating his wife’s beautiful and wintery bridal bouquet. The original consisted of cream Roses, Cedar, Pine, Spruce, Seeded Eucalyptus, Red Berries and Pittosporum in a handtied round style bouquet. Below you can see a few photographs of the original bouquet from Bobbi Rattai Photography to compare with the recreation. What do you think? Did I nail it?

Moody Winter Wedding Colors in Silk Flowers

Winter can be a bright, shiny, time of year. But if that’s not the vibe you want in your silk wedding flowers for your bridal bouquet, then this post is for you! These moody winter wedding colors of navy, burgundy, gray and white were a fun mix for a January wedding. Just a hint of greenery kept it from being completely dark and jewel-toned, but we kept it minimal in order to provide just a touch of contrast.

The bridal bouquet was a mix of navy Peonies, burgundy berries and Calla Lilies, white Roses, gray Dusty Miller and Eucalyptus in a classic tear drop cascade style.

The bridesmaid and toss bouquets were mix of all the same flowers, but in a round handtied style. SIlver ribbon finished off all the arrangements to tie in more of her color scheme.

Combining Inspiration Photos for the Perfect Silk Flower Bridal Bouquet

I’m not going to let my head get too big here, but it’s pretty fun when I ask for inspiration photos and brides send me photos of my own work. In this case, the bride sent me photos of Haley’s champagne, ivory and gray silk wedding flowers and another more intricate bridal bouquet (recreation) and asked me to combine the two styles and designs into one romantic look. Challenge accepted!

This modified cascade style bridal bouquet incorporated a similar color scheme as the first bouquet with some of the same flowers and berries and some of the daintiness and smaller elements of the second bouquet.

The bouquet was made with blush centered Cabbage Roses, ivory Garden Roses, gray Berries, blush pink Calla Lilies, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, blush Heather, Lamb’s Ear and some mixed greens tucked in. The ever popular Antique White ribbon finished off this classy bouquet with partially wrapped stems.

The groom’s boutonniere was a nice complement to the bridal bouquet with a single Calla Lily, blush Heather, gray berries, Lamb’s Ear and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

Though this was for a small wedding, she also wanted some cake flowers for her two tier cake. I designed three different flower clusters that would give her baker some flexibility in placement.

Modified Cascade Silk Bridal Bouquet Review

One of my favorite all time silk bridal bouquets was Lexi’s Whimsical modified cascade style bridal bouquet. It was big, bold, interesting, colorful, textural, romantic…seriously, I could go on and on about it! So when Lexi sent me some photos from her wedding day, I was so excited to share them with you! Wedding flowers don’t often get the consideration of scale. But can you imagine if Lexi’s bouquet had been any smaller? The enormity of the architecture around this gorgeous couple would have made a smaller bouquet disappear!

“Working with Erin was my favorite experience in planning my wedding. I had found this picture on pinterest and kept coming back to it. I knew there was no way to recreate what I saw in this picture, or so I thought. When I showed the picture to Erin she was confident we could create it. It was so much fun, designing and creating this bouquet. With being out of state and working fully online with her, I was so impressed with how quick her turn around was. She literally found the most beautiful flowers I could have ever picked to create this dream bouquet! When she sent me images of the final product, I could not wait! Bright Colors in Fall Silk Wedding Flowers

A lot of times, when we think of fall, colors like brown, gold, rust, olive, burgundy come to mind. How do I put this delicately? They are the colors of plant life ceasing to actively grow (ahem, dead stuff). And while those colors look amazing together, there is no rule saying your fall wedding can’t be bright and lively. Whimsical Silk Wedding Flowers

One of my new favorite finds over on Instagram is following people that make dollhouses (I’ve always loved miniature things, and I’m proud of it). What’s so amazing about them is that in some of the photos you can’t tell it’s a dollhouse! Keep that in mind when I show you this silk bridal bouquet because sometimes photos don’t give an accurate picture of the size of something. In this case, this baby is actually much bigger than the photo does it justice. Stretching almost 2.5 feet wide, this whimsical silk bridal bouquet was absolutely breathtaking. Lexi worked closely with me to nail down the specific colors she wanted in the bouquet. I worked with her requests and a few style photos she sent to come up with this design. Behold!

Here’s the rundown of what went into this showstopper:

-Ranunculus in white and coral
-Roses in mauve
-Peonies in hot pink and yellow
-Dogwood in dusty blue
-Freesia in white and red
-Skimmia berries in dark blue
-Fall berries in burnt orange
-Fern and ficus greenery

The bridesmaid bouquets were much more typical sized and had less of a variety of the flowers from the bridal bouquet. These summer bouquets were magical and I can only imagine how amazing they would look for spring, summer or even fall!

Lexi wanted to include her flower girls in the grand scheme of her floral designs so I came up with these sweet little floral crowns that matched the bridal bouquet and added some brightness to their aisle walk. Thanks to my daughter for being a willing model;)

White, Green, Gold and Succulents in Custom Silk Wedding Flowers

I’m convinced that the greenery trend is sticking around for a while. I keep finding new and interesting ways to incorporate greenery and of course there’s always succulents! But there’s also Lamb’s ear and Berries and Seeded Eucalyptus! So many options, so let’s just go ahead and use them all. Sounds like it would be a lot, right? This white, gold and green themed wedding was so fun to do. Every arrangement was a little different but classy all the way. We didn’t want to overdo it with the gold, so a sheer gold ribbon was the perfect touch to tie off the bouts and corsages. The bouquets all had a beautiful burlap and lace wrap on the stems to complete the rustic charm.

This bouquet had Dahlia, Calla Lilies, Roses in several hues of coral, orange and red, Hypericum berries, Gerbera Daisies, Seeded Eucalyptus and some twigs that wrapped around the outside of the bouquet. What a great fall bouquet!

Spring Bridal Bouquet in Silk Flowers- Loose Style Bouquets

Last week I was in major production mode, which means I'm cranking out flowers (count is at 3 weddings and 3 recreations) like it's my job! Because, well, it is my job:) I'm loving the variety of colors, textures, and styles!  In the last week and a half, I've done blushes, purples, blues, whites, and cascading, round and loose style garden bouquets. And all were done in high quality silk wedding flowers.

This set of silk wedding bouquets are some of my favorites for spring! It's for a local May wedding which is only a few weeks off, but I was able to get some pictures of them outside before it snowed again (and again!). I was feeling inspired to share them with you as we all sit here waiting for real spring to show up.

The bridal bouquet is a mix of peonies, dahlias, roses, lavender, baby's breath, lamb's ear and eucalyptus, dried gomphrena, and some berries. Perfect for a late spring soiree! 

The bride initially order a bridal bouquet and groom's boutonniere. But her family jumped in and were ready to help her round out her flowers with a couple of matching silk bridesmaid bouquets along with boutonnieres and corsages for the groomsmen, parents and grandparents. We kept things light and airy for the bridesmaids: lavender and baby's breath with some lamb's ear. The perfect compliment to her bridal bouquet!
