Moody Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Claire reached out to me about creating moody silk wedding flowers for her wedding day. They wanted to incorporate a variety of jewel tones for an overall darker look but with touches of medium pink. She sent me some inspiration photos with comments about she liked and what she was going for. She also mentioned to me that she wanted a smaller bridal bouquet which was super helpful because most brides this day want large bouquets. Let’s take a look at what we came up with! Claire sent me photos from the very talented Mackenzie and Cole with Seelhammer Media.

Our happy couple! Claire’s bouquet was a smaller, loose handtied style bouquet with a mix of burgundy Peonies, cream Peonies, a navy Magnolia, plum and berry Tea Roses, plum Cosmos, navy Ranunculus, pink Ranunculus and greenery.

The flowers were beautiful! My husband and I loved how moody they were - they paired so well with our theme! We love that we were able to keep them and reuse them in our home. It’s a forever reminder of our favorite day 🤍

Is moody your vibe? Or maybe the jewel tones have caught your eye! There is always a way to customize your custom silk wedding flowers and the best part is that you get to see them in advance. No showing up to your wedding to discover it’s not what you envisioned. Claire and I worked together to pick out just the right flowers for each arrangement and even figure out the ratio of colors so that it had the right amount of everything. Plum, Blush, Rose Gold, Navy and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I love today’s color palette of plum, blush, rose gold, navy and white silk wedding flowers and bridal bouquet. This moody look can work with any season, a ceremony at any time of day and looks great indoors or outdoors. You’re going to see what I’m talking about with these photos of Jessica’s custom silk wedding flowers by Michael Anderson Photography.

Here’s our happy couple! Jessica’s bouquet was a round ball style bouquet with a mix of white Garden Roses, plum Tea Roses, navy Garden Roses, mauve Peonies, and one navy Magnolia as a feature flower. We wanted a color that would bridge the darks and lights so we incorporated some magenta purple Ranunculus to create a nice blend. Jessica didn’t want greenery to be a focal but she wanted a touch, so we added a light collar of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus around the bottom of her bouquet. The groom’s boutonniere was a white Rose, magenta purple Ranunculus, navy accent flowers and a touch of greenery.

I LOVE this photo! The backdrop is beautiful, the warm and cozy shawls they are wearing and the variety of dress colors makes for such an interesting and lovely photo. We simplified the bridesmaid bouquets to be a little different than the bridal but incorporated the same color scheme. To differentiate between their bouquets and Jessica’s, I reduced the size, changed out the white Roses for white Baby’s Breath and we did not include a Magnolia.

Beautiful flowers for my wedding that will last a lifetime! Erin was great to work with and found me the perfect floral colors to match my wedding colors. I am very glad I chose this small business and will gladly refer Love is Blooming to family and friends.

Burgundy Silk Wedding Flowers with a Twist

When Candace booked her wedding with me in February, she had a pretty good idea of what she wanted for her custom silk wedding flowers and a bridal bouquet. The inspiration photos had creamy Roses, peach and burgundy accents and lots of greenery and texture. They were moody and romantic and a little bit boho—perfect for an October wedding! Once I started working on her arrangements, she felt like it was missing a little pop of color, so we incorporated a touch of golden orange that gave the bouquets that perfect little twist of brightness. Take a look at Candace’s awesome custom silk wedding bouquets for fall.

The bridal bouquet incorporated cream Roses, peach Roses, apricot Garden Roses, ivory Spray Roses, burgundy Dahlia, orange gold Mums, Seeded Eucalyptus, Magnolia leaves, dusty greenery, feathery Fern, and seed pods in mauve. This modified cascade style silk bridal bouquet is a show stopper!

The bridesmaid bouquets weren’t the exact same shape but incorporated almost all the same elements as the bridal bouquet while giving off the same wild and rustic vibe.

This nontraditional shape bridesmaid bouquet is definitely becoming the norm as more bride’s are choosing more organic shapes and color palettes for both themselves and their bridal party.
