Red, Pink and White Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Today’s custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers feature is a really fun one to share because of the finished product. I mean, I guess they are all fun to share because of the finished product. But today’s is more about the display than usual! A number of bouquet recreations have gone on to be displayed in unique ways like this shadowbox example, this memento shadowbox, or flower and invitation keepsake display. But this is the first time where a wedding dress has been featured with a bouquet recreation! First let’s take a look at the custom bridal bouquet recreation alongside the original provided by photos by Ashley’s family friend, Britney.

Ashley’s bouquet was a dramatic cascading beauty with a mix of red Garden Roses, pink Spray Roses, a single lavender Rose and lots of Seeded and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Ruscus. It was a stunner!

She also commissioned me to recreate the groom’s boutonniere which was a simple arrangement of two white spray roses, seeds and matching greenery with a touch of white satin ribbon.

But here’s the cool part! When Ashley ordered the bouquet, they were working on a remodel of their house, including a custom display case for her wedding dress! They created a place at the top to display the bouquet along with her dress for a lovely vignette for their special pieces!

I hadn’t thought about preserving my wedding bouquet until after we got back from our honeymoon which was to late. I am SO glad I found Erin, this was an amazing piece of work for something I thought was lost. I was able to put it with my wedding dress display.

Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation for a Shadowbox - Reveal and Review

I love a good DIY, which is kind of why I ended up starting Love is Blooming Silk Wedding Flowers! Today’s silk bridal bouquet recreation became part of a DIY project by bride Nicola. She sent me photos of her bouquet with the plan to enclose the bouquet in a shadowbox along with other keepsakes from her wedding day. Let’s take a look at the photos of her bouquet and the recreation!

Her round handtied bouquet was a mix of white, dusty pink and burgundy Roses, with special gold dyed greenery. The challenge with this arrangement is that the shadowbox was only going to be a few inches deep, so I couldn’t recreate an actual round bouquet, it needed to showcase all the elements, but be flat at the back. Nicola was kind enough to send me her finished project so we can see how it all turned out!

Upon completion she sent me a picture of the finished product. When I received the flowers It looked just like my real wedding flowers and the emotions of my special day came back. Thank you Erin !!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation for a Shadowbox - Reveal and Review

I love to see how people find ways to make keepsakes and memories of their wedding day a part of their home decor. You may have seen this post from a few years ago where I helped Jessica source the flowers that had been in her bridal bouquet to create a sweet memento from her big day. I got to do a similar project for Aliza recently that added a little extra challenge! Aliza had attempted to press her fresh flower bouquet to put in a shadowbox and include in her home. Unfortunately, the beautiful colors from her bouquet didn’t stay true and she wasn’t happy with the outcome. She sent me measurements of her shadowbox and photos from her wedding day (taken by Sara Allman Photography on Facebook), and I got to work finding the right colors and sizes of flowers for her bouquet recreation. Let’s take a look!

Erin’s work is fabulous! I tried to preserve my wedding bouquet myself, but It didn’t work out. I found Erin online and contacted her right away. I told her I wanted my bouquet to fit in my shadow box frame, so she used the frame dimensions to make sure the bouquet would fit. I am so pleased with the outcome. Thank you, Erin!

With a shadowbox, you can’t get the same full, round bouquet that you had on your wedding day, but you can have the essence of the bouquet to proudly display.
