Bright and Bold Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal

Here in Minnesota, it’s January. That means a little dark, a lot cold, and snow. I thought I’d share a really bright and bold set of silk wedding flowers with you to bring a little spark to this Monday! Kelsey’s color combination is bursting with brightness, but the unexpected variation in texture is what really sets the bridal bouquet apart. Kelsey contacted me looking for custom silk wedding flowers that were happy and colorful. She gave me some suggestions to go along with the look she had in mind along and a link to her favorite inspiration bouquet. Take a look at what we came up with!

Kelsey is radiating joy in these pictures and I’m so glad to have been able to match that same spirit in her bouquet. Her modified cascade silk bridal bouquet was a mix of magenta Peonies, orange Pincushion Protea, yellow Billy Buttons, peach and blush Roses, bright pink Freesia, white Delphinium, blue Thistle, white Hops, Willow Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. She liked the idea of ribbon tails in a few colors so we added a little more blue and white to finish off the look.

The bridesmaid bouquets were pared back versions with a smaller mix of those flowers in a clutch style bouquet. They really popped against their blush pink gowns.

Jewel Toned Summer Silk Wedding Flowers- Review and Reveal

I love, love, loved doing these wedding flowers! Bride Catherine gave me her color palette and her permission to get creative with her bouquets, and her arrangements turned out stunning. These jewel toned summer silk wedding flowers were a mix of moody and bright colors with texture and greens for a unique look that worked for her summer wedding.

Catherine’s handtied style round bridal bouquet was a mix of plum Tea Roses, navy Delphinium, yellow Ranunculus, orange Hydrangea, plum Poppies, orange Ranunculus, burgundy Roses, dusty pink Peonies, Blueberries and mixed greenery.

The bridesmaids carried clutch size bouquets with just a few of the flowers from the bridal bouquet, but in the same loose handtied style. All the bouquets were finished off with burlap wrap on the stems.

The groom’s boutonniere was a burgundy Rose, yellow Ranunculus, a bit of Hydrangea, Blueberries and matching greenery with a twine wrap on the stems.

Catherine had a lot of loved ones surrounding her on her big day and they all had a custom silk flower wedding arrangement. Even her precious pup got a custom silk flower dog collar to wear during the celebration.

Emily & Steve - Summer Silk Wedding Flowers Part 1

Local bride Emily and I have known each other for several years, so when she asked me to meet with her about silk wedding flowers, I was so excited! She had already done some work gathering pictures from magazines and online and had some great ideas for her flowers. We talked through her style, colors, and favorites flowers. I showed her the beautiful fresh touch Callas, Roses, Peonies, and Ranunculus that lots of my brides are raving about. She chose a soft pink and white color palette which was perfect for her July wedding.

The bouquets were done in a round, hand-tied bouquets style and had some fresh-from-the-garden elements that really added a lot. Emily wanted some wedding bouquet bling, but in a unique way that enhanced the romantic setting of her ceremony and reception. Take a look at what we came up with:

We added a clear beaded cascading element that hung down the front of her bouquet. It was tasteful and elegant but also a glamorous choice to add a little shine to her bouquet.

The 'Maids were wearing black so we complimented their dresses with black satin ribbon on the stems. We also added some rhinestones into the bouquets to add a little sparkle.
