Custom Silk Flower Cake Topper - Reveal and Review

Earlier this summer, Rachel’s aunt reached out to me as they were trying to get someone who could recreate a a floral cake topper. The original had been made of sugar flowers and the creator was in the UK, so there wasn’t a way to get the exact same piece. That’s where I come in! They sent me some photos of the original design and I looked through my various suppliers until I found just the right flowers and greenery to create a silk flower cake topper that was what they were looking for! Rachel was kind enough to send me a few photos by Precious Pics of her beautiful wedding cake!

Rachel’s custom cake topper had a soft yellow Rose for the center with blue Hydrangea, white mini Daisies, blue Forget-Me-Nots, yellow Craspedia (or Billy Buttons) and some touches of greenery and vines. It was dainty and also a show stopper!

Your arrangement looked absolutely beautiful, it really made the cake! Thank you again!

Bright and Bold Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal

Here in Minnesota, it’s January. That means a little dark, a lot cold, and snow. I thought I’d share a really bright and bold set of silk wedding flowers with you to bring a little spark to this Monday! Kelsey’s color combination is bursting with brightness, but the unexpected variation in texture is what really sets the bridal bouquet apart. Kelsey contacted me looking for custom silk wedding flowers that were happy and colorful. She gave me some suggestions to go along with the look she had in mind along and a link to her favorite inspiration bouquet. Take a look at what we came up with!

Kelsey is radiating joy in these pictures and I’m so glad to have been able to match that same spirit in her bouquet. Her modified cascade silk bridal bouquet was a mix of magenta Peonies, orange Pincushion Protea, yellow Billy Buttons, peach and blush Roses, bright pink Freesia, white Delphinium, blue Thistle, white Hops, Willow Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. She liked the idea of ribbon tails in a few colors so we added a little more blue and white to finish off the look.

The bridesmaid bouquets were pared back versions with a smaller mix of those flowers in a clutch style bouquet. They really popped against their blush pink gowns.

These awesome photos were provided by Nick G. who is moving on from his career in photography, but I’m so grateful for his permission to share his beautiful work!

Fall Silk Bouquet Recreation with Sunflowers

Fall is such a magical time. The leaves are changing, there is cooler weather, and my favorite part: I get to bring out my sweaters! Fall is great for other reasons too: sunflowers, cozy and warm color combinations, and anniversaries. And lots of them.

Trey had me recreate his wife’s beautiful bouquet that had some classic touches of fall. Composed of Sunflowers, Zinnias, Billy Buttons, Fern, Seeded Eucalyptus, and a little green Moss makes this for a bright and sunny fall bouquet. Trey had a good eye for detail, so when it came time for me to wrap the stems, he was able to clue me in on the original material. His wife had it wrapped in blue tulle; it was her “something blue.” Cute, right? Take a look at this awesome silk bouquet recreation!
