Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sitting down to write this post, I’m once again blown away at what 2022 brought for Love Is Blooming custom silk wedding flowers and my family! This year had me working on 72 weddings of all sizes and 18 bridal bouquet recreations in silk flowers! Each of these clients got a slice of my time and my creativity, and I loved working on each custom design. This job has allowed me more time with my family because of its flexibility and income that pays for things like braces and unexpected repairs. I have also gained the ability to be more generous and the opportunity to be a part of some really happy wedding days and celebrations :)

So a huge, heartfelt, THANK YOU from me and my family for making 2022 Love Is Blooming’s best year yet! I’m praying for more love, more joy and more peace for your families in 2023!

My daughter was finishing her senior year of college and really had no idea of flower design other than she wanted fake flowers. I was disappointed she wasn’t going for real ones, but I started researching for her and came across Erin’s site, Love is Blooming. After looking at ideas for color and style, I sent the ideas to my daughter to choose what she liked. Then I contacted Erin and shared with her Hannah’s choices. Erin was very friendly and so easy to work with her. The finished product was so beyond what I had expected, and I was beyond thrilled at the gorgeous results. From the boutonnières to the wrist corsages to the bouquets for the bridal party, every one of them looked real and so very beautiful that I was brought to tears. I highly recommend Erin and her high quality of work You will not be disappointed.

Tropical Wedding and Silk Flower Bouquet Reveal!

I love being able to do reveals, and this one is so amazing! Ali had a clear vision for her tropical themed silk wedding flowers. She wanted to incorporate the colors of coral, peach, and white and also lots of lush greenery. I found some great options for her in Calla Lilies, Peonies, Orchids, Palm and Monstera Leaves and even some tiny coral Succulents for her bouquet.

Take a look at these fantastic images from Erin Schaal, a very talented photographer out of Richmond, Virginia! You can find her on Instagram @erinnschaal, check her out!

Ali was such a stunning bride!

Browsing through Ali’s gallery, I noticed so many photos of her looking adoringly at her new husband. I love it!

I love that Ali’s bridesmaids all wore different styles and colors of dresses. It looks so good!

This wedding is a great example of a unique and easy DIY for table decor. Ali purchased individual Monstera and Palm leaves in bulk through me. Then she simply laid them on her tables at the reception site. It gives big impact without the cost of individual finished centerpieces.

Ali also purchased loose flowers and greens for her baker to place on the cake. It’s simple and stunning!

As promised! Here is the big reveal of Paige’s October wedding with her custom silk bridal bouquet. These amazing photos are provided by the very talented Jenny B. Photography. Be sure and check her out if you are an East Coaster!

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for the amazing flowers and bouquets you did for mine and David’s wedding on October 30th. We had so many compliments on how beautiful the bouquets were. One of David’s cousins was talking with me and telling me how much she loved my flowers, and I told her they aren’t real flowers! She was completely shocked because of how beautiful they were and nicely put together. I wanted to pass this on to you because we absolutely loved the work you did for us and will definitely be recommending you!

Erin was so amazingly wonderful to work with. She is so creative, patient, and kind. Everything turned out beautifully! Our wedding was last week and i think my bouquet was even prettier than me!!! She was able to work in a lot of special requests for a very personal piece. The bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres were lovely too! And on top of that, everything was so timely! Incorporating Black Into Your Silk Wedding Flowers

I have to admit that this was the first time I was asked to incorporate black flowers into a bride’s custom silk wedding flowers. I was excited for the challenge, but also a little nervous that they were going to look like Morticia Addams should be walking down the aisle with them!

My bride requested that her bridal bouquet and wedding flowers included black Calla Lilies and some branchy greenery. She did a great job communicating her vision and that made my job so much easier! She also really liked a bouquet that incorporated the black Callas and these awesome white Dendrobium Orchids. They were a perfect match for her cascading bridal bouquet in silk flowers. I added in some grasses and Smilax and it was exactly what she was looking for!

Also in this order were two small Bridesmaid Bouquets that used just a handful of Callas and Orchids and enough greenery to match the bridal bouquet. These sweet little clutch bouquets were tied off black satin ribbon for a very polished look.

Here’s the toss bouquet which we simplified even more for this intimate wedding gathering.

The boutonnieres were very sleek with just a single black Calla lily and greens and a Dendrobium orchid for the groom’s boutonniere.

I tied off the bridal bouquet with Antique White ribbon for a very bridal look.

So there you have it! If you are looking for a way to bring your black tie occasion up a notch, consider incorporating black and white elements for a timeless and elegant look. What do you think, would you incorporate black flowers for your custom silk wedding flowers? If you’d like a quote for similar arrangements, just fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

20181017_101957.jpg

This year has been record smashing for my little ol’ business here in Minnesota!

Here’s a quick rundown of my year:

-35 Bridal Bouquet Recreations in Silk Flowers

-19 Custom Silk Flower Weddings

-86 Custom Silk Flower Centerpiece Bouquets

For a grand total of:

250 Recreation, Wedding and Centerpiece Bouquets!!

I have all of you to thank for that! You’ve chosen a small business to put your trust in for some of life’s important moments and I’m so grateful for that opportunity. You’ve allowed me to work from home, raise my awesome kids, and be available to work and be with my family year round. Put a giant bow on that, because it truly is a gift to me and my family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Pink, Navy and Gold Silk Wedding Flowers

There are a few color combos that have popped up quite a bit this year. Blush pink has been super popular, obviously so because of its classic touch to any wedding. Plus it pairs very well with a lot of different colors; navy is one of those! Take a look at local bride TomiAnn’s beautiful silk wedding flowers:

TomiAnn chose beautiful blue Hydrangea to be in her bouquet, along with beautiful ivory Roses and pale pink Peonies. We tied it off with navy ribbon. TomiAnn had a couple meaningful elements in her silk wedding flowers, including this very special charm for an honored loved one. She ordered this from another vendor and had me add it to the bouquet.

TomiAnn’s maid of honor is going to carry this beautiful and complementary bouquet:

The Maid of Honor bouquet included the same ivory roses and pale pink Peonies. We tied it off with a sheer gold ribbon for a touch of shine and to match her navy, gold and pink color scheme.

Toss Bouquet

We incorporated all the colors into the boutonnieres and corsages. We used pink roses for most of the main flowers, adding in a little blue to the mothers, grandmother and groom’s flowers. TomiAnn also had charms for the mothers and the groom’s. I especially loved this touching way to honor people in her life.

I was so pleased with how they turned out and now mine are decorating the house in a vase. It was also great to have each of my bridesmaids keep their bouquets as a keepsake. Thanks again for the great work!
