Lavender, White and Green Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Summer is wrapping up (boo!), but before it does, I’ve got a few new weddings to share!! Lena’s pretty lavender, white and green silk wedding flowers were perfect for her May wedding and by incorporating different shades of lavenders, it made the bouquet really layered and lovely! Let’s take a look at some of these stunning photos from Rebecca Maag Photo & Design!

Lavendar White Green Silk wedding flowers custom bridal bouquet

Lena’s round handtied custom silk bridal bouquet was a mix of lavender and white Garden Roses, deep lavender Spray Roses, dark lavender Carnations and Ranunculus, pale lavender Delphinium, white Cabbage Roses, Baby’s Breath, mini Daisies, Lavender, Lamb’s Ear and small filler greenery. It was finished off with sheer gold ribbon and she added some meaningful photo charms to the handle.

I just love Lena’s dress, but check out her smile!!

For the groom’s boutonniere, this was my first time doing a pocket boutonniere. Meaning, the floral portion is attached to a square piece that slips down into his jacket pocket. It’s really quite genius! I created a pocket boutonniere that coordinated with her bouquet with a white Rose bud, Lavender, Lamb’s Ear, and a touch of Carnations and Delphinium. The benefit of an arrangement like this is that you don’t have to worry about getting them pinned on just right.

Erin was amazing to work with every step of the way. My bouquet was everything I dreamed of and more! She even helped me with some last minute corsages that I forgot about ordering. She was helpful and communicative every step of the way.

Revisiting These Ivory, Champagne and Burnt Orange Silk Wedding Flowers

If you are thinking of fall or winter wedding flowers, these are a great example of incorporating whatever the heck colors you want! We didn’t include any traditionally “winter” things in these arrangements. And yet, they are perfect! Let’s revisit Katrina’s custom silk flowers for her winter wedding!

Every few years, a new hot wedding color comes on the scene. A few brave brides go for it, and pretty soon, it’s taking the wedding world by storm. That color is currently burnt orange or terra cotta or some iteration of orange. What’s cool about orange is…well, it’s warmth! It can bring to mind a sunset or being fireside or the warm fuzzies you get when you think of fall coming after a blazing hot summer. Today’s wedding is a lovely example of incorporating ivory, champagne and burnt orange into custom silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at the professional photos bride Katrina sent me from her photographer at Brittany Nicole Photography.

Here’s our knockout bride, Katrina! Here loose, round handtied style bouquet was a mix of peach Cabbage Roses, nude pink Roses, burnt orange Roses, beige Baby's breath, champagne Peonies, cream Cosmos, Lamb's ear, some pink seeds, sage greenery and a mix of Eucalyptus and Olive greenery. We included texture, variety, shades of peaches, champagne and burnt orange and a touch of nude pink.

The bridesmaids were burnt orange dresses that an embossed floral pattern on them, which I thought was such a unique touch and added visual interest to their whole look! Their bouquets were also loose, round handtied style bouquets with the same mix as the bridal bouquet, but with an extra blush pink Rose added in.

The groom wore a navy suit, so his burnt orange Rose with a Cosmos, Baby’s Breath and greenery really popped!

We went with a nude pink rose for the groomsmen, in a similar style but different, just like their gray suits!

I absolutely love the style of Katrina’s cake with it’s rustic vibe with the rough buttercream. The floral clusters for the layers brought it all together.

Erin does an INCREDIBLE job! She is so kind and just truly an incredible person! She is so easy to work with and really brings your dreams to reality! She created our flower arrangements BETTER than I could have ever imagined and made the whole process just 100000x easier for the stressed out bride! 1000/10 would recommend to literally everyone in need of arrangements!
— Katrina | Texas

Katrina wanted a low spray for her head table, which worked perfectly with their custom sign that incorporated their last names. Yes, their last names really are Human and Peoples, a perfect match right??

A huge thank you to Katrina for sharing photos from their big day! Do you love the idea of incorporating orange into your wedding flowers? Revisiting The Peach, Pink, Blue and Yellow Silk Wedding Flowers

I’m so happy I came across this wedding again in my search to share some oldies but goodies! Caroline’s color palette was dreamy and delicate, but bright and lovely! The pops of yellow mixed in with the peach and blue and pink was genius, if I do say so myself! Let’s take a walk down memory lane at these lovely arrangements!

There is so very little to say about these photos, except be sure and check out Caroline’s amazing photographer Taylor Sakata Photography and figure out how to hire her right now. Also, surround yourself with your closest friends, wear a dress you love, fix your hair up just right, look adoringly at your husband-to-be, and hold my flowers for at least few pictures before emailing them to me. So I’ve said enough, here are Caroline’s custom silk wedding flowers for her spring Georgia wedding.

When I first started planning my wedding, I began searching Google for silk flower options. I had not heard of anyone who had gone this route, but I loved the idea of being able to keep my wedding bouquet forever. I was a little hesitant to order flowers online from someone in a different state, but I was immediately at ease after my first communication with Erin. She made each step of the process so easy and fun, and I appreciated that she always asked for my feedback and was willing to adjust to make my flowers perfect. They turned out better than I could have imagined! Not only was her pricing very reasonable, she also had my flowers done earlier than expected. It is so nice knowing that this aspect of my wedding planning is taken care of. I would recommend her over any flower shop any day. Erin’s customer service and quality of work are hard to beat.

Revisiting These Jewel Toned Summer Silk Wedding Flowers

I love that even though I created today’s featured wedding flowers 3 years ago, the jewel tone color palette is still as popular as ever! You can mix and match the deep, rich colors and it can work for any season!

I love, love, loved doing these wedding flowers! Bride Catherine gave me her color palette and her permission to get creative with her bouquets, and her arrangements turned out stunning. These jewel toned summer silk wedding flowers were a mix of moody and bright colors with texture and greens for a unique look that worked for her summer wedding.

A huge thanks to these amazing images from their photographer Precious Pics!

Catherine’s handtied style round bridal bouquet was a mix of plum Tea Roses, navy Delphinium, yellow Ranunculus, orange Hydrangea, plum Poppies, orange Ranunculus, burgundy Roses, dusty pink Peonies, Blueberries and mixed greenery.

The bridesmaids carried clutch size bouquets with just a few of the flowers from the bridal bouquet, but in the same loose handtied style. All the bouquets were finished off with burlap wrap on the stems.

I can’t say enough positive things about Love is Blooming. I had always loved the idea of a bold, jewel tone colored bouquet. However the quotes from local florists were wayyy out of our budget. I had almost given up when I came across Love is is Blooming. Erin was very responsive and did such good job listening to what I wanted while also adding in her own experience. The end result was exactly what I had been looking for at a fraction of the cost of a florist. She was even able to create a matching dog collar! I loved that I was able to get picture updates and make any adjustments before getting them and it was one less thing to have to worry about on the big day! Everyone, both guests and venue staff, at the wedding were shocked when they realized they were fake flowers as no one could tell until they were up close. Plus, my bridesmaids were so happy to be able to keep their flowers after the wedding. I am so incredibly grateful and highly recommend Love is Blooming to anyone looking for wedding flowers.
— Catherine | Maryland

The groom’s boutonniere was a burgundy Rose, yellow Ranunculus, a bit of Hydrangea, Blueberries and matching greenery with a twine wrap on the stems.

Catherine had a lot of loved ones surrounding her on her big day and they all had a custom silk flower wedding arrangement. Even her precious pup got a custom silk flower dog collar to wear during the celebration.

Are jewel tones your jam? Love the moodier colors but getting married in the spring or summer? Let’s talk!

Revisiting This Minneapolis Silk Wedding Flower Arrangement

I last shared a wedding with you of jewel toned silk wedding flowers and noted the popularity over the last few years. Today, I want to show you a color scheme that is still going strong. From the start of my business in 2005 until today (almost 20 years later!), pink and blue has been a winning choice! It’s feminine, it’s masculine, it’s class and it’s romantic. Let’s take a look at Ying’s custom silk wedding flowers in blue, pink and white!

If you follow awesome brides, like Ying, you may remember her gorgeous light blue, blush and ivory silk wedding flowers, just sent me some shots and a great review! Her silk bridal bouquet and silk bridesmaids bouquets added so much to her wedding and wedding photos.

Revisiting This Wedding Day Reveal of Silk Flowers

Today we are revisiting a moment in time that could included great joy when things were just…hard! I love that Rachel has this moment to look back on with fondness, no matter what else was going on in the world! One thing I didn’t talk about in my original post was what was in the arrangements. As you scroll down to see them, you’ll see the bouquets made up of Hydrangea, Dahlia, Tulips, Ruscus, and plum Astilbe in the bridesmaid bouquets. The bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with those flowers plus Roses, Ranunculus, Seedum and Fern. I love that she chose a bouquet that was quite a bit different than the bridesmaids. Let’s take a look at this awesome wedding from 2020!

There is nothing sweeter than getting to see my flowers out in “the wild.” I spend time chatting and designing with each client and then I send their silk wedding flowers off to their Happily Ever After. Rachel sent me some shots from her wedding with her bridal bouquet that made me gasp and slap my husband on the arm as I pointed at my phone screen.

These breathtaking images were taken by the very talented MVphotos. If you want to see more of Madalyn’s amazing work, you can find her on Instagram (madalynvermeerphotos), Facebook (MVphotos), or shoot her an email to book her for your own wedding (info@madalynvphotography.com). 2020 sure has provided us with some unique situations! I love that these two lovebirds decided to make this a sweet moment to remember.

Bright Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Today’s lovely bride, Carmine, reached out to me last year about a silk flower bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere for her Florida wedding. She was really on the ball with scheduling, and even though her wedding was just a few weeks ago, she requested her flowers were done this past December. Just another great perk of custom silk wedding flowers! Let’s take a look at Carmine’s beautiful silk bridal bouquet!

I just love the lace on Carmine’s dress! It’s actually a beautiful match to the bright blue Hydrangea that makes up the main part of her round style bridal bouquet. Hydrangea clusters are often described as being lacey and you can see why from these photos that Carmine’s family and friends snapped from the big day!

The custom silk bridal bouquet featured bright blue Hydrangea, white Tulips, white Baby’s Breath and Eucalyptus that gives it a very fresh look. Which is perfect for a Florida wedding!

Erin did absolutely amazing on my bouquet. Perfect! Thank you for your help on my special day!

Blush, Dusty Pink, Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal and Review

Today’s wedding is a really pretty combination of blush, dusty pink, blue and white silk wedding flowers. As you’ll see from the photos that bride Emily sent me, this was a soft romantic color palette that worked great for her outdoor wedding. Let’s take a look at the photos she sent me from her amazing photographer Brandi Doleman.

Emily’s bouquet was a unique style in that we slightly modified a modified cascade style. She didn’t quite want a teardrop shape, but not as round as a modified cascade. Her bouquet was composed of white, nude, and dusty pink Roses, blush pink Peonies, blue Astilbe and Thistle, Stephanotis, Orchids, white Heather, beige Baby’s Breath, Willow and Eucalyptus. Here bridesmaids were wearing a variety of these colors and she wanted to include them in her bouquet. It tied everything together so nicely!

The bridesmaids carried clutch style bouquet with the same mix of the bridal flowers. One of the bouquets was actually for an attendant on the groom’s side, so we included a bit more of the blue accents in her bouquet to match the guys more closely. It was an easy tweak to the design so that it set it apart but still matched with the bridesmaids.

Erin is SO sweet to work with and VERY prompt with communication and getting everything situated and organized! She is super easy to talk to and very accommodating if you have a particular idea in mind! The wedding flowers were everything I would’ve dreamed of and were just absolutely perfect! I couldn’t have been happier! I HIGHLY recommend her for any of your floral needs!

20 Year Old Silk Bridal Bouquet

Today, I’m taking a little time off because my husband and I jetted off to Hawaii for an early celebration of our 20th anniversary! This week, I wanted to show you a photo from our wedding day, June 12, 2004, and show you my same bouquet…almost 20 years later! Perhaps this will convince you of the lasting quality of a silk bridal bouquet!

Mills Photography- Niles, Michigan

Our wedding took place in my hometown of Bridgman, Michigan so my bouquet came with me to the beach for outdoor photos, back to the church for the indoor portraits, got toted around our reception, then traveled back to Minnesota after our honeymoon and 10 years later moved from one house to another. Let’s take a look at what it looks like today!

My Aunt Finessa taught me how to arrange silk flowers and not only was it a great help, it also saved us lots of money! My mom and I went shopping and found the perfect roses for my pink and yellow color scheme. I made a handtied, round style bouquet with the prettiest peachy pink roses that had some yellow in them. I used sheer ribbon to do a criss-cross pattern on the stems and did some ribbon loops up underneath the flowers to finish it off. My bouquet still looks like it did the day I said, “I do!”

Do you love the idea of having a bouquet that you don’t have to be careful with, that you know will look good for every minute of your wedding day, that you won’t have to dry or preserve to have a beautiful keepsake? Then custom silk wedding flowers might be just what you are looking for. Fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today for a quote!

Burnt Orange, Terra Cotta, Nude, White and Beige Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

This last year, I had the fun task of working Orange and Terra Cotta into a variety of weddings. I absolutely loved the creativity that my bride’s brought with their ideas. And I’m excited to share Ashley’s burnt orange, terra cotta, nude, white and beige silk wedding flowers. Her arrangements were full of texture and interest and were lovely additions to her November wedding. Let’s take a look at some photos from her very talented photographer Christina Jo Photography!

Ashley’s bouquet was a teardrop cascade style with a mix of beige baby's breath, terra cotta, rust and nude Roses, white Bamboo, mini pampas and larger pampas. If you look in the photo above, it was a perfect accent to both her wedding dress and her groom’s unique sport coat. Don’t you love the beige and plaid detail?

Let’s talk for a minute about Pampas grass. It’s a super popular and lovely addition to wedding florals, but it sheds like crazy! Unless you want to have it all over your dress, your groom’s tux or any other fabric in your general vicinity, faux Pampas is a great alternative. There is no allergy risk, no shedding and it’s not as delicate as the real stuff.

Thanks again to Ashley for sharing these lovely images of her custom bridal bouquet in silk flowers for her big day. Do you have your eye on this color palette? Or maybe you were considering Pampas in your wedding flowers? Cinderella Inspired Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I’ve done a few Disney weddings in my 19 years of business, but this might be a favorite. Okay, really they are all my favorite :) Olivia’s custom silk wedding flowers were Cinderella inspired with the pale blue and white color scheme. I love the subtlety of the theme but with some bigger, magical touches in her bridal bouquet. You’ll see what I mean when I show you these beautiful images from Southern Palm Studios.

Here’s our happily-ever-after couple! Olivia’s bouquet was a classic round handtied bridal bouquet with a mix of Cinderella blue Roses and Baby’s Breath, white Hydrangea, and Eucalyptus.

Picture perfect! In this detail shot, you can also see the rhinestone Mickey I added to the handle of the bouquet. And to the left of her bouquet, you can catch a glimpse of one of the mini bouquets the mothers carried. These small bouquets were a mix of Cinderella blue Roses, white Baby’s Breath and Eucalyptus. Simple but elegant, just like the moms!

Here’s where things got magical…a horse and carriage entrance for Olivia! Of course with a huge smile on her face!

This company is absolutely amazing! The amount of people at my wedding who said that they thought my flowers were real the entire time was crazy! And the amazing thing is that I get to keep my bridal bouquet forever now! I would highly suggest this company for your silk flower needs!
— Olivia | Florida

Here is their lovely wedding party! The bridesmaids carried lanterns—love that touch— and the groomsmen wore blue roses to match the dresses and the theme.

If you are curious about what it might look like for moms to carry mini bouquets, this is a great example. Looks pretty natural to me!

What an amazing fairytale day for our couple!

Recreating a Bouquet You Love For Your Wedding - Reveal & Review

I’ve had a number of brides find a blog post of mine and fall in love with the look of a bouquet I’ve made for another bride. Today’s bride, Tommy, loved this modified cascade bridal bouquet that I made a few years ago and wanted the same bouquet for herself! I was able to design a few more custom arrangements to match and we had custom silk wedding flowers for her big day! Let’s take a look at a few of the photos Tommy sent me from her photographer, Ron Park Photography.

Tommy’s modified cascade silk bridal bouquet was a mix of Sunflowers, dusty blue Wisteria, white Baby’s Breath, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, Succulents and Peacock Feathers. Her daughter carried a small, simplified bouquet of Sunflowers, Baby’s Breath, one Succulent and some Eucalyptus. I really liked how they complemented each other without being matchy-matchy.

The groom’s boutonniere included a Succulent, mini Sunflowers, Baby’s Breath and a touch of the dusty blue Wisteria. I loved that Tommy went with a Succulent as the main “flower” for the boutonniere.

I also got to design and create two custom hair pieces for Tommy and her daughter. We used the same mix of flowers from the bridal bouquet with a touch of smaller leafed greenery and of course those classy Peacock feathers had to make an appearance!

I was searching for examples of sunflowers and peacock feather bouquets and came across Love Is Blooming. I emailed Erin immediately when I saw she had made the exact combination that I was looking for. She was great to work with, very informative and kept me updated on the progress.

Randy reached out to me about custom bridal bouquet recreation for his wife and a custom bridesmaid bouquet recreation for her daughter as Christmas presents! The photos he sent me showed deep Red Roses and Peonies and burgundy Calla Lilies in a classic round style bouquet for the bridal bouquet. The bridesmaid bouquet was a simple round handtied bouquet of white Garden Roses. Let’s take a look at how these custom Christmas gifts turned out!

I loved that the bouquet was wrapped with a white satin ribbon and then a red satin ribbon over the top! It gave the bouquet a festive look without being a traditional red and green Christmas accent.

Oh my goodness. Erin, was spot on with the arrangement of my wife’s bouquet from our wedding. She did amazing work and I would highly recommend her for any bouquet arrangement for anyone around!! Thank you again Erin!!
