Ivory, Champagne and Dusty Rose Silk Wedding Flowers

Carmen’s ivory, champagne and dusty rose silk wedding flowers were so fun to create. She opted for a modified cascade style bridal bouquet with a distinctly asymmetrical shape. Her bouquet was unique, the colors romantic, and the look was so classy. Scroll down to take a look!

We wanted to come up with a really soft looking bouquet. I suggested Cymbidium Orchids, toast colored Roses, ivory Peonies, dusty rose Mums, small pink Cosmos, and Lamb’s Ear.

The matching toss bouquet incorporated one Cymbidium Orchid, a toast colored Rose, dusty pink Mum, and some Lamb’s Ear with ribbon.

The matching boutonnieres and corsages:

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

2021 is shaping up to be my busiest year yet! With 23 weddings already booked for 2021, I looked around and realized we were living in a sea of silk wedding flower boxes. With all those boxes taking up space in our office, bedroom, and garage, I knew it was time to make a change.

I’m excited to announce the new headquarters of Love Is Blooming Silk Wedding Flowers….my backyard!

silk-wedding-flower-workshop-bridal-bouquets

My studio is still in the process of being insulated and power run to it, but I’m excited to have a space where the creative juices can flow starting this spring. And it sure is nice to that all the flower boxes have their own happy home.

So maybe you just did the math and realized that 23 weddings means that over half the weekends of the year are already booked for me. Is it too late to book your custom silk wedding flowers???

Absolutely not! That’s the awesome thing about silk wedding flowers, it doesn’t limit me as to how many weddings I create for a specific wedding date. I have a few wedding dates booked with 2-4 weddings scheduled for that same weekend. But each bride has chosen a different time frame to receive their flowers. So whether you want your flowers days, weeks or months ahead of time, I can work with you on your fully custom silk wedding flowers. If you are interested in finding out more, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist for a quote and to receive specific flower ideas.

So Happy New Year, happy new studio to me, and cheers to a more hopeful and bright future in 2021!

Burgundy and White Silk Wedding Flowers

Earlier this year I waxed poetic about sunflowers, and cascading bridal bouquets, and probably the color purple. But I hereby declare 2020 (besides being a ridiculous year) the year of burgundy wedding flowers. And as I just sent my first 2021 wedding off to it’s happy home, it looks like burgundy may be the color of 2021 as well. Here’s another example of some beautiful burgundy silk wedding flowers for a wedding earlier this fall.

Morgan initially approached me about creating a custom modified cascade style bridal bouquet for herself. She hoped to DIY the rest of her bouquets to save money. But after she saw her show stopping custom bridal bouquet in silk wedding flowers, she came back for a second order that included bridesmaid bouquets and a toss bouquet to match. Take a look at these modern styled bouquets filled with lush greenery and high contrast colors.

The bridal bouquet was a mix of burgundy Peonies, white Roses, Seeded and Blue Eucalyptus, Sage greenery, white Heather, and green Amaranthus. This unique shape, the modified cascade, is becoming more popular as brides are looking for a more modern take on a traditional tear drop cascade.

The bridesmaid bouquets were smaller clutch style bouquets with just a handful of the burgundy Peonies and white Roses. I gave it that same loose look with all that awesome greenery.

Toss bouquets are traditionally smaller than the bridesmaid bouquets. Though there is always the option for a bigger bouquet if you want something more substantial to toss. Morgan opted for a smaller toss bouquet that we set apart with some pretty ribbon tails (left photo). She also decided to order a mini bouquet for her flower girl. It was essentially the same size as the toss bouquet, just without the ribbon tails.

Silk Bridal Bouquet Review

Take a look at this joyful couple who got married recently! You may have seen my post a few days ago about Maggie’s bouquet which was inspired by an elopement bouquet I did earlier this year. Maggie sent me some lovely photos of her cascading sunflower and succulent bouquet in silk wedding flowers. Scroll down to see more photos from her big day and to read what she had to say about working with me. Photos were taken by Andre of Voida Visuall. Check him out on Facebook or IG (@voidavisuall).

I decided on silk flowers for my wedding bouquet and boutonniere. I reached out to Erin on her Love Is Blooming website and got a reply right away! I was very impressed with the whole experience. She has a very creative eye and sent updates of the bouquet while it was being created and made sure I was happy with it. Would 100% recommend if you are looking to go the silk flower route. Very reasonable pricing as well!

Elopement Inspiration with Silk Wedding Sunflowers

This next bouquet may look familiar if you’ve been following along for the last few months. Katrina’s elopement bridal bouquet in silk sunflowers has been a major hit. I’ve been receiving inspiration photos from brides’s who want their very own! Maybe I should just name it the Katrina?

Maggie is one of the bride’s who loved this bouquet and wanted it for her own wedding. So here it is along with a matching boutonniere for her groom.

Silk Flowers For Your Wedding Cake

Over the years, I’ve had potential clients looking for budget friendly options to complement their fresh floral decor. I’ve done a variety of weddings where I only did the boutonnieres and corsages, small arrangements to attach to lanterns for centerpieces, a custom floral backdrop, or a silk floral headpiece with pheasant feathers. Not to be left out, cake flowers recently joined that list of fun singleton projects for me.

Brianna sent me some inspiration photos for cake flowers in custom silk wedding flowers and I made some suggestions for matching her sunflower theme. Here’s what I came up with!

Her topper was a mix of a larger sunflower, red Spray Roses, burgundy Baby’s Breath and mixed greenery. I also made two matching smaller clusters to be placed on the layers of her cake. I switched to mini sunflowers for scale and to off set the shape for an asymmetrical look.

Navy & Rosewood Silk Wedding Flower Bridal Bouquet

I absolutely loved Ali’s soft romantic color scheme: ivory and white with Rosewood pink and a hint of navy. She loved the idea of a modified cascade bouquet in silk wedding flowers so I chose some greenery that would contribute to a unique shape and style and here’s what we came up with!

The bridal bouquet was a modified cascade shape with ivory Roses, white Spray Roses, white Heather, Baby’s Breath and Rosewood pink Roses. I filled in the bouquet with 3 different varieties of Eucalyptus and tied it off with navy satin ribbon.

Erin was AMAZING to work with! From quick replies, exceptional customer service, to the final product, she was phenomenal! I recommend her a thousand times over! Thank you, Erin!!
— Ali | Minnesota

Ali had a variety of other arrangements that needed to match the same look and feel. She added an honorary arrangement for grandparents who had passed away or wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding. This smaller arrangement was designed to pop into a vase of Ali’s choosing and placed at her ceremony site.

The bridesmaid bouquets (left) had the same mix of flowers as the bridal bouquet, minus the spray roses. The junior bridesmaid and toss bouquets (right) were an even more scaled back version of the bridal bouquet. Still charming though!

Boutonnieres and Corsages can be an important part of your custom silk wedding flowers. Here’s what we came up with for Ali’s boutonnieres and corsages.

Last Minute Elopement Bridal Bouquet and Groom's Boutonniere

Katelyn contacted me in a flurry of changed plans and needing immediate help. Because of COVID they had made the hard decision to postpone their wedding until 2021, but then decided to elope for a destination wedding to the mountains of Washington last minute. She needed a custom bridal bouquet in silk wedding flowers with a matching groom’s boutonniere with less than two weeks until the elopement date. I came up with a design lickety-split and here’s the final product!

The bridal bouquet was an offset modified cascade design. The main color was burgundy, so I added some Button mums and Amaranthus to ivory Roses and a variety of greenery including Seeded Eucalyptus, Lamb’s ear, Hydrangea buds, Eucalyptus and some other more delicate greenery. The groom’s boutonniere was an ivory Rose bud, Button Mum bud and mixed greens tied off with the same Antique White ribbon on the bridal bouquet.

Baby's Breath and Lamb's Ear Bridal Bouquet Recreation

Cierra wanted her simple yet elegant bridal bouquet recreated and when she asked me I was happy to say, yes! Her bouquet was a unique and classy design; a combination of Baby’s Breath and Lamb’s Ear. I recreated her bouquet in silk flowers with a simple cream bow and satin ribbon on the stems.

I recently got married this past July and really wanted to preserve my wedding flowers, but when I found out how expensive that was I decided to go a different route and get my bouquet recreated. I eventually found Love Is Blooming online and emailed Erin right away. Erin was lovely to work with and responded quickly. After a few emails and pictures my bouquet turned out beautifully, so good my family thought it was the real thing!

Galaxy Orchids in a Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation

I don’t have the original photos to share, but this bouquet was so pretty I knew I wanted to show you all! Clarice’s striking bouquet was made up of Galaxy Orchids, lavender Hydrangea, grass and was wrapped with simple purple satin ribbon. Even though I don’t have the comparison photo for you this time, you can certainly appreciate this unique and bold bouquet.

Fall Jewel Tone Silk Wedding Flowers

I loved this color palette for April’s jewel toned silk wedding flowers. Her original plan was to include burgundy, plum, dusty blue and burnt orange in her arrangements and bridal bouquet. But when we got everything together, the orange stood out way too much for her and her fiance’s liking. So with a bit of editing and rearranging, we landed on these amazing, textural, bouquets full of depth and color. Take a look!

Bridal Bouquet

Antique White Satin Ribbon

April’s bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with a mix of plum Ranunculus, burgundy Peonies, dusty blue Thistle, ivory Spray Roses, burgundy Lamb’s Ear and Eucalyptus and seeded Eucalyptus.

Bridesmaid Bouquet

Toss Bouquet

The bridesmaids bouquets were a bit smaller with most of the same elements, but we left out the Spray roses and tied them off with matching burgundy ribbon. April was able to direct me to swatches of the bridesmaid dress color, so I was able to match almost exactly the Peonies and the ribbon to their dress color. The toss bouquet was a variation of the bridal with the addition of some burgundy Baby’s Breath and tied off with the same ribbon as the bridal bouquet.

We matched the ribbon on the boutonnieres to the corresponding bouquets. The wrist corsages incorporated a little bit of each color and some greenery and the mothers’ got some bling to set them apart.

If you are looking for jewel toned flowers for your fall or winter wedding, silk flowers are a great choice!

White and Gold in Silk Wedding Flowers

Elizabeth’s classic color palette of white, ivory, and gold was a fun one to work with. She had a wide variety of flowers that she liked and we were able to incorporate almost all of them. Her silk bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with ivory Roses, ivory Ranunculus, white Anemone, Queen Anne’s Lace, white Baby’s Breath, Lamb’s Ear, and 3 different types of Eucalyptus.

I used a sheer gold ribbon to give a nice contrast to all the whites and ivory flowers and also add a bit of shimmer.

The bridesmaid bouquets matched the bridal in flower and style with a looser composition, but not as much cascading pieces.

The toss bouquet was a small clutch style bouquet with just a handful of flowers, but all the same style and elegance as the other bouquets.

What did you think of this color palette? Love it as is or maybe would you add a pop of color? If you are looking for ways to customize your floral decor to match your color scheme, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist for a quote and to receive ideas.

Sunflower Modified Cascade Silk Wedding Flowers- Part 2 Reveal & Review

Earlier this week I showed you the photos I took at home. But those are nothing compared to what Ashley sent me. Take a look at these amazing photos by James Erick Photography out of Utah and read what Ashley had to say about working with me and about her silk bridal bouquet.

What a beautiful and happy couple! And a great looking group to stand next to you on your big day!

Can’t recommend her enough!

Erin is absolutely amazing, and so so kind!! I felt annoying asking for so many changes and specifications, but she was always optimistic and happy to help me get my desired looks! I could tell she genuinely cared about me and what i wanted my bouquets and bouts to look like.

I was worried that the silk flowers would be very obviously fake, but oh my god, they’re gorgeous. I didn’t know exactly what i was looking for at first, and she helped me figure out what it was that I wanted.

I loved the constant communication. She worked with me every step of the way, and that helped ease my worries about purchasing silk flowers online. She also works with your budget, which I really appreciated. I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for silk flowers, talk to her! you will NOT regret it. She exceeded my expectations.

Thanks Erin!

Sunflower Modified Cascade Silk Wedding Flowers- Part 1

Ashley’s sunflower themed silk wedding flowers were a fun challenge for me. I’ve done lots of different sunflower themed bouquets (just head over to my blog and do a quick search for more examples), but Ashley wanted a bouquet that had a few more colors mixed in, lots of greenery and to turn a cascade bouquet on its head, quite literally. As you can see below, instead of the traditional vertical tear drop of a cascade, we spread out the bouquet side to side for a very unique take on a cascade bouquet. This is exactly the type of bouquet that fits into my category of “modified cascade.” You can clearly see that it’s not a round bouquet, and not a true cascade. It has a more organic shape with draping elements. It is a showstopper!

The bridal bouquet was a mix of Sunflowers, blueberries, burgundy Mums, white Cosmos, white accent flowers, Seeded Ecualyptus, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Fern. We tied it off with Antique White satin ribbon and left some of the stems exposed for a more modern look.

The bridesmaid bouquets needed to be a matching style without as much volume. We pared back the amount of flowers and added in some navy Delphinium to deepen the color scheme to match their moody burgundy dresses. I kept the composition loose and a little wild to match the look of the bridal bouquet.

Ashley had requested that I make all of the boutonnieres and corsages different from each other, incorporating a variety of greenery and accent flowers in blue, white and burgundy. This was so fun for me, because each one is unique, but stays consistent with the look and feel of her other flowers.

Do you like the idea of unique boutonnieres and corsages? Or maybe you want a cascade that’s, well, not quite a cascade? Silk flowers allow you to have that kind of input! There’s no flipping through catalogs to pick out the same thing 1,000 other brides already picked out.

Check back in a few days to see the reveal of Ashley’s wedding day and hear what she had to say about working with me on her custom silk wedding flowers.

Modified Cascade Silk Bridal Bouquet Review

One of my favorite all time silk bridal bouquets was Lexi’s Whimsical modified cascade style bridal bouquet. It was big, bold, interesting, colorful, textural, romantic…seriously, I could go on and on about it! So when Lexi sent me some photos from her wedding day, I was so excited to share them with you! Be sure and check out their photographer, Korey J. Smith Cinematography, if you are looking for a highly talented photographer in Utah.

Wedding flowers don’t often get the consideration of scale. But can you imagine if Lexi’s bouquet had been any smaller? The enormity of the architecture around this gorgeous couple would have made a smaller bouquet disappear!

What magazine should this appear in first?? It’s a piece of art!

Working with Erin was my favorite experience in planning my wedding. I had found this picture on pinterest and kept coming back to it. I knew there was no way to recreate what I saw in this picture, or so I thought. When I showed the picture to Erin she was confident we could create it. It was so much fun, designing and creating this bouquet. With being out of state and working fully online with her, I was so impressed with how quick her turn around was. She literally found the most beautiful flowers I could have ever picked to create this dream bouquet! When she sent me images of the final product, I could not wait! When everything arrived, I was even more impressed with Erin and her work. Having everything shipped across the country also was so easy. I could tell when everything arrived, that she took such great care in creating my wedding bouquet as well as all of the other flowers I had purchased for the wedding. The day of our wedding was perfect, what was the best part was holding this beautiful bouquet of flowers! Having a summer wedding, the worry of your flowers not making it can be stressful. However, with Erin’s silk bouquet I did not have to worry! I was just able to stand tall and beautiful grinning ear to ear with the man I love and the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen!

Still almost a year later my flowers look immaculate! I am so happy I found Erin and Love is Blooming to make the most perfect wedding bouquet for my most perfect day!
— Lexi | Utah

I love seeing action shots of the flowers and aren’t these flower girls the cutest?!

These portraits of the couple are just so good!

Green and White Silk Wedding Flowers with Structure Arrangement for Destination Wedding

Emily contacted me about custom arrangements for her destination wedding in the Bahamas. Not only did she want a silk bridal bouquet and matching silk bridesmaids bouquets, but she had an awesome plan for the ceremony structure at her tropical venue.

We started with the bouquets that were going to be a simple palette of green and white. Peonies, Sophia Garden Roses, Ranunculus and Baby’s Breath would be the main flower ingredients and those would be surrounded by a variety of Eucalyptus and seeds in a modified cascade style bouquet.

I scaled back the bridesmaid bouquets with a single Peony, loosely placed Ranunculus, a touch of Baby’s Breath and then surrounded it with Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Seeds in an organically shaped handtied bouquet.

For the cake flowers, I created a simple topper with a Sophia Garden Rose, Ranunculus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. I also created a custom swag for around the base of the cake with a Peony, Ranunculus and Eucalyptus.

The real show stopper of this order of Emily’s silk wedding flowers was her custom structure arrangement made entirely with greenery. I had to climb a ladder to photograph it because there wasn’t an appropriate place in my house big enough! The custom altar arrangement was made up in 3 parts; a 27” swag and 2 garlands that were each about 6’ long. The structure at Emily’s venue is going to be 12’ long, so we needed something that would stretch across the entire span of it. This thing is going to have a big impact!

If you need a custom arrangement, large or small, contact me today for a free quote!
