Classic White and Green Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I know it’s hard to imagine wedding flowers that can top a Harry Potter x Lord of the Rings wedding or a Disney and Cinderella blue wedding, but today’s classic white and green silk wedding flowers are a stunning example of wedding flowers that can compete with literally any theme or scheme! Cassie’s custom silk flowers from her July wedding were so fun to design and were full of texture, greenery and looked amazing in all her photos. Let’s take a look at the lovely images from Edward Walker with Bellagala.

Cassie’s bouquet was a round handtied style with a mix white Roses, Lilies, Larkspur, mini Peonies, mini Cabbage Roses, Baby's Breath, standard Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. The texture of the bouquet really complements that lovely design of Cassie’s dress. Her groom wore a white Rose bud, mini Peonies, Baby’s Breath and Greenery. It was a great match to her bouquet and looked awesome with his suit!

Cassie’s bridesmaids all wore different shades of green and different styles of dresses, and I absolutely love this look! And again, the bouquets only end up complementing their individual and classy finished look.

The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of Cassie’s bouquet, minus the standard Eucalyptus so that it set her bouquet apart just a bit more. Since three of her bridesmaids were in darker green and three in lighter green, she choose to match the ribbon on the bouquets to the dresses with half having sage green and the other half having emerald green ribbon.

Erin and her work was amazing! Real flowers are very pricy and I didn’t want to pay that much for flowers that will die in a few weeks. Choosing Erin and Love Is Blooming allowed me to have beautiful flowers for probably more than half the price! I contacted Erin and she got back to me very very fast! She was excited to work with me, and was very professional! She kept me a part of the process the entire time, even asking which flowers were my favorite so she could include them in the bouquets. They turned out beautifully, and looked amazing in photos and in person. People were amazed that they weren’t real! Now, I get to keep my bridal bouquet and my husband’s boutonniere forever!

The groomsmen boutonnieres were a mix of Baby’s Breath and mini Peonies with greenery. It was a good look next to the groom’s boutonniere that allowed his to be larger and more featured, but still all went together.

Let’s not forget the moms and dads! The mothers had wrist corsages with Cabbage Roses, mini Peonies, Baby’s Breath, a small touch of bling with some rhinestones, greens and ribbon. These corsages work for any outfit! The dads had boutonnieres with mini Peonies and touch of Eucalyptus and again would look good on any lapel!

Moody Purple Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Last week I showed you Felicia’s beautiful wedding flowers in multiple shades of purple. This week I get to share with you Morgan’s moody purple silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at some photos from Ivy and Ink Photography from her lovely wedding day!

Morgan’s cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of white Garden Roses, lavender Garden Roses, plum Tea Roses, purple Heather, and Lamb’s Ear.

The bridesmaids carried the same mix of flowers in round handtied style bridesmaid bouquets. I was so pleased that the plum tea Roses matched their dresses to perfectly!

I got so many compliments on the flowers for the wedding! I can’t thank you enough for them!
— Morgan | Missouri

Morgan wanted matching centerpieces but didn’t want to budget for full finished arrangements. She had the great idea to buy bulk amounts of Roses and Baby’s Breath to make her own centerpieces. They added the perfect amount of floral touch to her reception and she did a great job arranging them herself!

I wanted to share Morgan’s cake with you as a great example of how to add just a touch of florals to your cake, without going over board. The rustic look of her cake and cake stand, along with that custom topper IS the feature. Adding a big floral piece really would have taken away from those unique elements. I think this was a great decision to add just a few flowers around the base of the cake to incorporate the them and colors without it being all about the flowers.

Here’s one last breathtaking shot of Morgan from the talented Ivy and Ink Photography.

Custom Cake Flowers Reveal

Back in December, I shared a few photos with you of Brianna’s custom silk wedding cake flowers. These cute little clusters of Sunflowers, Roses, Baby’s Breath and greenery were nice little accents for her wedding cake. I was thrilled when Brianna sent me some photos from her wedding day of her amazing cake!

Her amazing wedding cake was created by Modern Pastry Shop in Hartford, Connecticut. (Anyone else automatically think of Gilmore Girls when they hear anything about Hartford??). If you are looking for a photographer out East, get in touch with Brianna’s photographer Xluzive. There is just so much talent in these photos!

The flowers came out more beautiful than we imagined! They looked so realistic and came out perfect! Very accommodating to our requests!

White and Gold in Silk Wedding Flowers

Elizabeth’s classic color palette of white, ivory, and gold was a fun one to work with. She had a wide variety of flowers that she liked and we were able to incorporate almost all of them. Her silk bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with ivory Roses, ivory Ranunculus, white Anemone, Queen Anne’s Lace, white Baby’s Breath, Lamb’s Ear, and 3 different types of Eucalyptus.

I used a sheer gold ribbon to give a nice contrast to all the whites and ivory flowers and also add a bit of shimmer.

The bridesmaid bouquets matched the bridal in flower and style with a looser composition, but not as much cascading pieces.

The toss bouquet was a small clutch style bouquet with just a handful of flowers, but all the same style and elegance as the other bouquets.

What did you think of this color palette? Love it as is or maybe would you add a pop of color? If you are looking for ways to customize your floral decor to match your color scheme, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist for a quote and to receive ideas.

Green and White Silk Wedding Flowers with Structure Arrangement for Destination Wedding

Emily contacted me about custom arrangements for her destination wedding in the Bahamas. Not only did she want a silk bridal bouquet and matching silk bridesmaids bouquets, but she had an awesome plan for the ceremony structure at her tropical venue.

We started with the bouquets that were going to be a simple palette of green and white. Peonies, Sophia Garden Roses, Ranunculus and Baby’s Breath would be the main flower ingredients and those would be surrounded by a variety of Eucalyptus and seeds in a modified cascade style bouquet.

I scaled back the bridesmaid bouquets with a single Peony, loosely placed Ranunculus, a touch of Baby’s Breath and then surrounded it with Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Seeds in an organically shaped handtied bouquet.

For the cake flowers, I created a simple topper with a Sophia Garden Rose, Ranunculus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. I also created a custom swag for around the base of the cake with a Peony, Ranunculus and Eucalyptus.

The real show stopper of this order of Emily’s silk wedding flowers was her custom structure arrangement made entirely with greenery. I had to climb a ladder to photograph it because there wasn’t an appropriate place in my house big enough! The custom altar arrangement was made up in 3 parts; a 27” swag and 2 garlands that were each about 6’ long. The structure at Emily’s venue is going to be 12’ long, so we needed something that would stretch across the entire span of it. This thing is going to have a big impact!

Realistic Roses for a Beautiful Custom Silk Bouquet

Many brides have hesitations when it comes to the idea of using anything but fresh flowers.

If it's not in your budget to spend a fortune on arrangements for your wedding, then realistic roses and custom silk wedding flowers might be the answer for you.

Bride Kristin had ordered flowers for her May destination wedding through me.  She mentioned to her cousin, Stephanie, that she had custom silk wedding flowers and it piqued Stephanie's interest.  I met with both brides and got to show Kristin the flowers I had already picked up for her arrangements.

Stephanie and I talked through her ideas and played around with some stems I had on hand. She showed me pictures of bouquets and flowers she liked and we worked on some design ideas together.  Stephanie's must have's included realistic fresh touch flowers for her entire bouquet and LOTS of bling. Her classic color scheme of red and white suited the flowers she chose and the final products are stunning.

Bridal Bouquet of Fresh Touch Red Roses and Calla Lilies with rhinestone sprays, bouquet jewel and rhinestone wrap on the stems.

Bridal Bouquet and Bridesmaid Bouquet of white Calla Lilies with rhinestone wrap on the stems.

Toss Bouquet of white Calla Lilies and preserved Baby's Breath with rhinestone wrap on the stems.

These flowers are show stoppers, and the best part is that Stephanie got the flowers of her dreams with all the bling she could ask for and for a fraction of what fresh flowers would have cost her.

Now when that spotlight hits Stephanie as she walks down the aisle (did I mention she was going to be lit by only a spotlight?) Stephanie and her bling-y bouquet will both be shining.
