Burgundy and Gold Silk Wedding Flowers-Rustic Details & Bling

It’s not too often that a rustic themed wedding gets some sparkle added to it. But bride Elsie knew she wanted some elements of both! Her designs featured burgundy Roses and the ever-so-classic Sunflower. The classic round style bouquets showcased both flowers beautifully!

As I mentioned above, Elsie had a rustic theme going, but wanted some bling. I made some suggestions and she sent me a few inspiration photos and we landed on a few elements that made her bridal bouquet a little extra special. We started with a burlap wrap and collar around the base of the bouquet. Elsie also liked the idea of lace and a bit of ribbon, so we added those touches to the stems, over the burlap wrap. And because she also loved the idea of bling, I added some individual rhinestones to each Rose and a few small sprays of clear beads to give it a little extra something.

Erin is absolutely AMAZING!!! I was kinda in a bind because I didn’t want to spend so much on real flowers and I didn’t want to worry about having to make them myself. So one day I was on Google and just happened to come across Love is Blooming and I’m sooooo glad I did! Will definitely recommend to everyone I know who needs flowers!!! Not to mention her prices are so reasonable!!!

The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, but we simplified their stem wrap to just have burlap with a band of lace over the top. The toss bouquet (right) was a cute little clutch that included that added band of burgundy ribbon to look more closely like the wrap on the bridal bouquet.

The boutonnieres and corsages were all made to match the color scheme and overall feel of the bouquets. I used twine for an accent to finish them up, with an added spray of rhinestones for the mothers’ corsages. Here they are all labeled and ready to go.

Succulents and Sunflowers in Silk Wedding Flowers

If sunflowers are your main squeeze, here’s another look for your wedding day! You may recognize this style from the original elopement bouquet I made for Katrina. It’s been one of my most popular bridal bouquets to date! You can see with these wedding flowers, we added on to the custom arrangements and included some cake flowers and some boutonnieres featuring the ever-popular succulents!

This cascading style bridal bouquet is on the verge of being a modified cascade. You can see the outline of the tear drop shape of a traditional cascading bouquet. But all that lush greenery give it’s a looser, more organic shape that works so well with the sunflowers.

We simplified the look for the bridesmaid bouquet to fit a loose round handtied style with just a single larger succulent, and few Sunflowers, Baby’s Breath and more of that lovely greenery.

Each of the boutonnieres was a different mini-Succulent with a bit of Baby’s Breath and Ecualyptus with matching Antique White Ribbon.

She wanted something really simple for her cake, so I used mini Sunflowers, Baby’s Breath and Eucalyptus for a cohesive look.
