Custom Green and White Silk Hand-Tied Bridal Bouquet - Reveal

There is nothing more classic than white wedding flowers with greenery. Colors come and go in popularity, but I probably do just as many white wedding arrangements every year as I do ones with color. Sarah’s custom silk wedding flowers were simple, but so pretty. It allowed all the dresses to shine as well as their beautiful outdoor location! Today, I get to share some beautiful images from HL Photo. Check them out on Instagram (@hl.photo1 on Instagram) or Facebook (HL PHOTO).

Sarah’s beautiful round handtied bridal bouquet was a mix of white Peonies, white Sophia Roses, white seeds, Heart Eucalyptus, gray standard Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

She chose the clutch style bridesmaid bouquets. Despite there only being one flower featured, you can see that there was plenty of fullness with the mix of greenery.

Such a beautiful location and I feel so lucky to have designed custom silk wedding flower arrangements that got to be a part of it.

One of the things I advise to any bride is to incorporate the bouquets into your reception decor and this is a perfect example of that. Sarah bought simple vases and was able to use the bridesmaid bouquets for additional decor on their desert table.

Burgundy and Taupe Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

One of the up and coming hot colors is a surprising choice - it’s taupe! It’s a wonderfully warm neutral that goes with a variety of accent colors and adds an unexpected richness to wedding decor. Today, I get to share with you a great example of incorporating taupe into wedding flowers. Tiara had an awesome vision for her custom silk wedding flowers that included texture, neutrals and burgundy. I showed her a variety of options, and she pretty much said “Yes!” to all of them! Let’s take a look at the magazine-worthy images Tiara sent me from the photographer who captured her day so beautifully: Narvold Photography.

Tiara’s modified cascade style bridal bouquet was a mix of taupe and coffee colored Roses, burgundy Roses, Peonies and Calla Lilies, Cynara pods, Thistle, burgundy Amaranthus, sage Fern, mauve Queen Anne’s Lace seeds, Seeded Eucalyptus and beige Heather. It was a STUNNER!

Erin is absolutely fantastic to work with and she created the most beautiful bouquets for my wedding. After sending her a few photos and ideas she was able to visualize and create exactly what I was looking for and more! I highly recommend!
— Tiara | Minnesota

The bridesmaids were wearing beautiful burgundy dresses and carried handtied versions of Tiara’s bouquet. I even made mini bouquets for the flower girls.

Thanks again to Tiara for sharing such a special day with me so I could share it with you! If you are looking to incorporate taupe, beige, champagne or another neutral and need help with ideas, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today!

Fall Silk Wedding Flowers in the Mountains - Reveal and Review

I am thrilled to be able to share Ally’s beautiful custom silk wedding flowers from her fall wedding near Mt. Hood, Washington. Not only is she stunning, but the backdrop for her wedding is to die for! Take a look at these amazing photos from Terra Lange Photography.

Ally’s bridal bouquet was a modified cascade style with a mix of yellow Peonies, burgundy Peonies, orange Dahlia, orange Cosmos, burgundy berries, sage Fern, twigs, Seeded Eucalyptus, Cynara pods and Magnolia greenery. It was textured and lush and full and perfect for an outdoor wedding.

One of the things I loved about working with Ally is that every idea she had was well thought out. Her bridesmaids were wearing these glamorous velvet-y dresses in 3 different jewel tones, and she wanted simple hoop bouquets to complement them. We choose just a few of the flowers and greens for the gold metal hoop bouquets for a modern but classy take on bridesmaid bouquets.

Not to be left out, her flower girls each carried smaller versions of the hoop bouquets

I was looking for flowers that looked real, and would last forever as I wanted to use them in my home after the wedding. I’m so glad I found love is blooming. They came out absolutely beautifully! She helped me pick flowers and greenery based of my limited knowledge and color scheme. She was very easy to work with and responsive and was also very kind and patient with me. The shipping was timely and the finished product was exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely hire again.
— Ally | Washington

Ally used a combination of custom silk wedding altar pieces for her unique round altar and fresh fall flowers and pumpkins. The draped fabric added such texture and softness!

Burgundy and Gold Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Since were past spring wedding orders, I thought I’d set the mood and get you thinking ahead to fall! Elsie’s burgundy and gold silk wedding flowers are such a classic combination. You can’t go wrong with Roses and Sunflowers and when the colors are just so perfectly matched for fall-it’s always going to look amazing! Elsie shared her photos with me, by photographer Photos by Red and I get to share them with you today!

Her round ball style bridal bouquet was a mix of burgundy Roses, gold Sunflowers, rhinestones in the Roses and a few clear bead sprays. We also added burlap wrap on the stems, a burlap ruffle around the bottom of the bouquet and a touch of lace and ribbon. Accents like that can set things apart in simple, but elegant ways. The bridesmaids carried round ball style bouquets with the same flowers and stem wrap, but without the rhinestone accents. Scroll to the bottom to see a few detail shots of Elsie’s bouquet.

Erin is absolutely AMAZING!!! I was kinda in a bind because I didn’t want to spend so much on real flowers and I didn’t want to worry about having to make them myself. So one day I was on Google and just happened to come across Love is Blooming and I’m sooooo glad I did! Will definitely recommend to everyone I know who needs flowers!!! Not to mention her prices are so reasonable!!!
— Elsie | Kansas

We kept all the boutonnieres and corsages on theme with burgundy Roses and mini Sunflowers with twine wrapped on the stem. This is a good option to match the texture, but not the bulk, of burlap.

I wanted to include these photos because A) Elsie is beautiful and her lacey dress is amazing and she’s just so happy in this photo and B) some of the details are worth a second look;)

My daughter was finishing her senior year of college and really had no idea of flower design other than she wanted fake flowers. I was disappointed she wasn’t going for real ones, but I started researching for her and came across Erin’s site, Love is Blooming. After looking at ideas for color and style, I sent the ideas to my daughter to choose what she liked. Then I contacted Erin and shared with her Hannah’s choices. Erin was very friendly and so easy to work with her. The finished product was so beyond what I had expected, and I was beyond thrilled at the gorgeous results. From the boutonnières to the wrist corsages to the bouquets for the bridal party, every one of them looked real and so very beautiful that I was brought to tears. Burgundy, Blush, and Navy Silk Wedding Flowers

Last week, I shared with you Jenna’s wedding flowers, coordinated by her sister Emily. This week, I want to share with you Hannah’s wedding flowers, coordinated by her mother Deborah. I seriously work with the nicest people, and Deborah is right at the top of the list. She provided me with inspiration photos for her bridal bouquet, feedback from Hannah, and coordinated delivery. Deborah was a great communicator and made my job so easy! Let’s take a look at Hannah’s custom silk wedding flowers!

The bridal bouquet was a teardrop cascade style of burgundy Peonies and Mums, blush Garden and Tea Roses, white Baby’s Breath, preserved burgundy Pine sprigs, green Seeds and Seeded Eucalyptus with burgundy ribbon wrap and blush pink ribbon tails.

From the boutonnières to the wrist corsages to the bouquets for the bridal party, every one of them looked real and so very beautiful that I was brought to tears. I highly recommend Erin and her high quality of work You will not be disappointed.
— Deborah | Indiana

The bridesmaid bouquets were a round handtied style with a different mix of flowers. It included blue Tea Roses, a navy Ranunculus, burgundy Thistle, Blueberries, white Ranunculus, burgundy Roses and Mums, Seeded Eucalyptus, burgundy Preserved Pine, and Lamb’s Ear. I love how the mix of flowers is so different from the bridal bouquet, and yet they go together perfectly!

Deborah decided to add on a few more items later including this cute little toss bouquet. I chose a few of the flowers from the bridal bouquet to mix together for a clutch size toss bouquet.

Wildflower Silk Bridal Bouquet - Reveal and Review

I have had a number of sisters and moms who have worked with me closely to create custom silk wedding flowers for their sister/daughter. Today’s wedding is a great example of that! When I got Emily’s email on behalf of her sister, Jenna, I knew Jenna was in good hands. Emily was so easy to work with and communicated Jenna’s vision very clearly. One of the features of her wedding was to include Buffalo Plaid in her wedding décor for an Oregon Coast wedding. Jenna also had a solid list of flowers and types of greenery to include: red Tulips, yellow Daffodil, blue Forget-Me-Nots, white Lily of the Valley , purple Columbine and yellow and green Aspen leaves. Scroll down to see how these all combined into her beautiful round handtied bridal bouquet!

I can’t thank you enough for taking care of us! You did such a beautiful job. Everyone loved the flowers and I got SO many compliments!
— Jenna | Oregon

The bridesmaids wore these beautiful emerald dresses. We simplified their bouquets to be a mix of Tulips, Daffodils and green Aspen leaves. You can kind of see the buffalo plaid wrap on the handles of their bouquets.

I want to be sure and give credit for these beautiful images to Jennifer Lauren Photography. If you are in her area and need a skilled photographer for your wedding, check out her website for more information!

Green and White Winter Wedding - Reveal and Review

Today, I get to share bride Melisa’s green and white winter wedding flowers. She lives in my neck of the woods which made it extra fun. I work with brides all over the country, so when I get a local bride, it’s extra special because I get to meet them in person when they pick up their flowers!

(“Wait, I don’t get to see my flowers beforehand?” Fear not, happy bride, you do! I send photos during the production process so you get to see how they are coming along. That way, when you pick them up, or open your box, there are no surprises…of the bad kind anyways.)

Back to Melisa’s flowers! These amazing photos are by the very talented Eric Vest Photography. If you are a Twin Cities resident, check him out for your upcoming wedding!

Here is our beautiful bride Melisa. And brave might I add for taking outdoor photos during a Minnesota winter! Her round handtied bridal bouquet was a mix of Roses, Ranunculus, Dusty Miller and Boxwood greens. It was simple, elegant, and gave winter vibes without being too on-the-nose.

The groom’s boutonniere was a Ranunculus, greens and Dusty Miller.

Erin was super easy to work with. I felt a lot of relief knowing that I’d get to see the flowers along the way, although Erin was amazing at understanding my vision and I didn’t need any revisions! I would highly recommend her, everything turned out better than imagined and pricing was very reasonable!
— Melisa | Minnesota

We kept things cohesive with the bridal party and made smaller versions of the bridal bouquet for the bridesmaids to carry and stuck with a Ranunculus and greens for the groomsmen. Slight differences set apart the bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere, but sometimes that’s all you need!

I love the way Melisa is looking at her new husband!

Melisa’s friend had gotten married at this venue not long before her, so she knew what décor would look good there. She helped me design this 90” long garland for the mantel of the fireplace. It incorporated the same Boxwood greenery along with a mix of white Garden and Spray Roses.

The venue provided simple vases for centerpieces and Melisa had another great idea to do a simple ring of greenery and roses to tie it all together. It was a great way to brighten up the tables without taking anything away from the romantic glow of the candles.

One of the things I always recommend to brides who need to stretch their décor: purchase vases that your bouquets can just drop into and use them at the head table (like Melisa did) or around your reception area. Some other great places to have your bouquets do double duty are the cake table, gift table, cocktail tables, or if you have a smaller amount of guests, use them as your centerpieces!

Thanks again to Eric Vest Photography for his excellent work. If you have a winter wedding but aren’t into some of the more traditional accents, let’s talk about how to make it happen. Fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today!

Yellow and Blue Silk Wedding Flowers - Review

Caroline’s custom silk wedding flowers in yellow and blue are so classic and bright it felt like a fun thing to share with you in the still snow-y dead of February. With spring around the corner, I thought we could use a little peak at some bright colors.

Her bridal bouquet is a round ball style bouquet with a mix of blue Hydrangea, white and yellow Roses, white Calla Lilies and white Baby’s Breath. You literally can’t go wrong with a bouquet like this!

Erin communicates very clearly throughout the entire order and building process, with pictures of progress. She’s very thoughtful of the bride’s desires. Bouquets and boutonnieres arrived speedily and just as ordered! This perfectly solves my own allergy problem and fragrance sensitivities of some guests!
— Caroline | Texas

I simplified and reduced the overall size of the bridesmaid bouquets, including just blue Hydrangea, a few yellow Roses and white Baby’s Breath. Below, you can see a good example of the difference in size of the bridal bouquet and one of the bridesmaid bouquets.

The boutonnieres and corsages incorporated white for the main flowers with yellow and blue accents. Since there was no greenery in the bouquets, we didn’t add any into these arrangements either. Small details like that may not seem like much, but they keep a cohesive look across the board.

Dramatic Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

A few weeks ago, I shared Kendra’s lush silk wedding flowers in burgundy and blue. I loved the drama of her silk bridal bouquet! And lucky for us she shared her wedding photos with me so that I could show all of you! Be sure and check out her extremely talented photography, based here in Twin Cities, Laura Calvo Photography.

Here is my stunning bride Kendra! And I guess we can talk about the bouquet too;) This modified cascade style bouquet was overflowing with Silver Dollar and Seeded Eucalyptus, Ruscus, Fern, blue Thistle, white Roses, and deep burgundy Dahlias. She had a very specific vision for her bouquet and we worked closely together to find the perfect flowers and greens to bring that vision to life.

The bridesmaids carried loose handtied round style bouquets with a single burgundy Dahlia, a few Roses and Thistle and the same mix of greenery. We wanted to mimic the wilder look of Kendra’s bouquet without too much draping. Each bouquet is similar but the greenery falls in different ways giving it a cohesive but varied look.

HIGHLY recommend Love is Blooming! I had attempted to work with two different florists to recreate a bouquet from a picture I found on Pinterest, that I absolutely loved! Neither were able to create anything even remotely similar to the picture, and I thought I was going to have to give up on my vision. But then I found Erin at Love is Blooming, and she went above and beyond to create a gorgeous bouquet for myself, as well as beautiful matching bouquets for my bridal party! She provided great communication throughout her entire creation process and I couldn’t be happier with how they all turned out!
— Kendra | Minnesota

Moody Purple Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Last week I showed you Felicia’s beautiful wedding flowers in multiple shades of purple. This week I get to share with you Morgan’s moody purple silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at some photos from Ivy and Ink Photography from her lovely wedding day!

Morgan’s cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of white Garden Roses, lavender Garden Roses, plum Tea Roses, purple Heather, and Lamb’s Ear.

The bridesmaids carried the same mix of flowers in round handtied style bridesmaid bouquets. I was so pleased that the plum tea Roses matched their dresses to perfectly!

I got so many compliments on the flowers for the wedding! I can’t thank you enough for them!
— Morgan | Missouri

Morgan wanted matching centerpieces but didn’t want to budget for full finished arrangements. She had the great idea to buy bulk amounts of Roses and Baby’s Breath to make her own centerpieces. They added the perfect amount of floral touch to her reception and she did a great job arranging them herself!

I wanted to share Morgan’s cake with you as a great example of how to add just a touch of florals to your cake, without going over board. The rustic look of her cake and cake stand, along with that custom topper IS the feature. Adding a big floral piece really would have taken away from those unique elements. I think this was a great decision to add just a few flowers around the base of the cake to incorporate the them and colors without it being all about the flowers.

Here’s one last breathtaking shot of Morgan from the talented Ivy and Ink Photography.

Multiple Shades of Purple in Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal and Review

silk-wedding-flowers-bridal-bouquet-purple

I get to share a few photos from another one of my amazing brides, Felicia! She wanted multiple shades of purple flowers in all her arrangements. We worked closely together to find just the right ones, including: dusty lavender Peonies, plum Tea Roses, bright lavender Ranunculus, Wisteria Ranunculus, and lavender Heather. She loved the idea of some mixed greenery, so I included Seeded Eucalyptus and Lamb’s Ear and then she added a touch of Baby’s Breath for a classy and happy round style bridal bouquet.

silk-wedding-flowers-bridal-bouquet-purple

Felicia opted to have wrist corsages for each of bridesmaids and I loved that idea. Seeing their beautiful dresses, with all the purple lace, I think it was a great way to allow their dresses to take center stage while still incorporating some small floral elements to match the bridal bouquet.

Felicia also ordered two custom altar arrangements to go on her amazing arbor. Is this not an impressive venue??

Erin did an amazing job on my flowers for my wedding day! I love how they turned out. I didn’t have much of an idea to go off of when we started designing my bouquet, I just knew my colors and Erin created such a beautiful bouquet for me. She made beautiful corsages for my bridal party and the boutonnieres were made perfectly as well. She was always so sweet and responded to all my emails and any concerns I had didn’t seem like it was an issue. She had the right answers for me every time. I love, love, love my bouquet and I definitely would recommend her to anyone.

Bright and Bold Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal

Here in Minnesota, it’s January. That means a little dark, a lot cold, and snow. I thought I’d share a really bright and bold set of silk wedding flowers with you to bring a little spark to this Monday! Kelsey’s color combination is bursting with brightness, but the unexpected variation in texture is what really sets the bridal bouquet apart. Kelsey contacted me looking for custom silk wedding flowers that were happy and colorful. She gave me some suggestions to go along with the look she had in mind along and a link to her favorite inspiration bouquet. Take a look at what we came up with!

Kelsey is radiating joy in these pictures and I’m so glad to have been able to match that same spirit in her bouquet. Her modified cascade silk bridal bouquet was a mix of magenta Peonies, orange Pincushion Protea, yellow Billy Buttons, peach and blush Roses, bright pink Freesia, white Delphinium, blue Thistle, white Hops, Willow Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. She liked the idea of ribbon tails in a few colors so we added a little more blue and white to finish off the look.

The bridesmaid bouquets were pared back versions with a smaller mix of those flowers in a clutch style bouquet. They really popped against their blush pink gowns.

These awesome photos were provided by Nick G. who is moving on from his career in photography, but I’m so grateful for his permission to share his beautiful work!

The bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages turned out even better than I had imagined! Erin was very helpful in picking out flowers and greens to help bring my ideas to life. The flowers all looked very real too and photographed beautifully. I’ve already recommended her to a few friends and they all had great experiences with her as well! Winter Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

Having a December birthday, I have a little bit of a chip on my shoulder about all things winter. But winter silk wedding flowers are starting to become some of my favorite! It’s almost easier to add a little bit of magic and shine like this wedding, or go a bit more wild and whimsical like this wedding, or maybe soft and romantic speaks to you like this wedding. Whatever you are warming up to, take a look at this great example of way to combine traditional “winter” elements to a bridal bouquet that is lush, full, textural and just so pretty!

silk-bridal-bouquet-recreation-wedding-flowers-anniversary-gift

Jennifer contacted me about recreating her custom bouquet, originally designed and created by Blue Ivy Flowers of Rossville, Georgia. And it was a stunner! A combination of blush Cabbage and Garden Roses, white Spray Roses, blue Thistle, white Hypericum Berries, Cedar, Cypress, Evergreen, Seeded Eucalyptus and Brunia Berries in a loose handtied style bouquet. It was important that we included all the elements as closely as possible (I couldn’t get as delicate with the Thistle as the original) but also duplicate the feel and style of the bouquet. With something as full and varied as Jennifer’s bouquet, that can be a challenge!

These two (above/below) images are from their very talented photographer out of Chattanooga, Tennessee: Jennifer Anderson Photography. Check them out if you are in that area and want amazing wedding photos:)

Silk Winter Wedding Flowers

Tomorrow is the official first day of winter, but it’s been cold and snowy here in Minnesota for a few weeks already. I shared some more summer-y flowers last week, so I thought I better give custom winter wedding flowers some space on the blog, since there’s not much left of this December!

Meghan hired me to create custom silk wedding flowers for her upcoming New Year’s Eve wedding. I wanted to give her the rich colors of a winter theme without it looking like Christmas. Let’s start with her modified cascade silk bridal bouquet.

Meghan’s bouquet was a mix of burgundy Roses and Peonies, white Ranunculus, a few Pinecones, Cedar boughs, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and gray Dusty Miller. The asymmetrical cascade is going to look good at any angle your photographer decides to shoot from.

custom-silk-winter-wedding-flowers-bridal-bouquet-bridesmaid-bouquets

The bridesmaid clutch bouquets were a simple mix of a single burgundy Peony, a few Ranunculus, Dusty Miller and a mix of the greenery in that same loose handtied style.

I had the BEST experience working with Erin! I only had the vaguest idea of what I was looking for for my New Year’s Eve wedding and she brought such elegant creativity to my wedding preparations. She was so patient with all my questions, provided photos throughout the process, and was all around a pleasure. Her talent and skill is obvious and she is the most affordable silk flower florist I have encountered. The bouquets were delivered with the utmost care in packaging they look stunningly real. Thank you, Erin!
— Meghan | Massachusetts

The groom’s boutonniere was a burgundy Rose, white Ranunculus and greenery, tied off with matching black ribbon.

Alaskan Destination Wedding-Reveal and Review

Bohemian, or boho, style bouquets have been all the rage the last year or two. This bridal bouquet is a great example of this style. Take a look at these amazing photos by Dallin and Cienna of bride Roxanna and her crew. Roxanna is from my area but drove out to Alaska for her destination wedding. How cool is that?!

Her modified cascade style silk bridal bouquet was a muted mix of beige, peach, and ivory Roses, Peonies, and Delphinium. We didn’t want anything too traditional look so we added lots of natural textures provided by the Artichoke, Amaranthus, Wheat, Fern and Sword Eucalyptus. To complete the look, I tied lots of ribbon tails in different shades of champagne and ivory. Roxanna was awesome at communicating her style with me and I think we did a great job working together to create a bouquet that matched her dress and her surroundings.

Working with Erin was a heaven sent for me! By that I mean I had a very specific idea in my vision for my bouquet. Although it was very hard for me to explain. We went through quite a few trials until we absolutely nailed it! She was so unbelievably patient, and kind throughout our process. I am so grateful to have worked with her, and I highly recommend!

The bridesmaids carried simple bouquets of white Peonies and Olive greenery. I love the way they accentuated the variety of their dress colors.
