Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers - Fixing a Mistake

Today’s custom bridal bouquet recreation was part recreation, part fixing a mistake. Kyle sent me photos to share with me that his wife’s bouquet wasn’t made correctly and so her bouquet wasn’t what had hoped to carry down the aisle. It was supposed to have white Hydrangea and Baby’s Breath, pink Roses and Ruscus. Instead, there were champagne Roses and Hydrangea added in and she didn’t love it. My job was to recreate the bouquet, but make it right for his wife! Let’s take a look!

As you can see from the photos, the champagne flowers stood out in the kind of way that you don’t want. But recreating the bouquet allowed Kyle to get her the bouquet she had dreamed of.

Worked closely with me to recreate my wife’s wedding bouquet for our anniversary. Was very quick with turnaround and it looked beautiful.
— Kyle | Hawaii

One tricky part of this bouquet was figuring out how the stems were wrapped. The closest photo we had showed what looked like copper color ribbon with glittery ribbon criss-crossed over the top. Kyle remembered it being more of a rosegold color, so we went with that to finish off the look.

Did you love your bouquet, except for one or two things? Silk flowers offer the benefit of custom designs so you can have your bouquet recreated how you wanted it in the first place. Read more about the process here!

Customer Review of Custom Silk Wedding Flowers

A few weeks ago, I shared Brandi and Troy’s stunning red, peach, pink and white custom silk wedding flowers. Brandi was the sweetest bride to work with, and she’s also an amazing performer busy in a show right now. But she took the time to write up a testimonial about her experience working with me. Once again, amazing photos by the amazing Jennifer Juniper Photography.

My husband and I got married in January, and wanted something special and unique for our flowers. Had we chosen to use real flowers, we would have been out thousands of dollars. I decided to search instead for someone using silk flowers who could make our wishes come true at a fraction of the price (and so we can also put them on display in our house afterwards).

I found Erin, and she was immediately so responsive, and while other floral designers shied away from the vibrance and lack of greenery we wanted, Erin was excited to do something different. In the beginning, she sent us an email with tons of flowers and colors that we could pick from, and saw our vision immediately.

We ordered my bouquet, two separate pieces to flank the archways, table decorations, and boutonnieres and corsages for our family, as well as flowers for our cake. We found the exact pieces we wanted to put the flowers in / on, and sent the pictures through to her. What she created was incomparable and totally better than what we were dreaming of.

As the process continued, she communicated often and sent pictures so we could see the progress and make any changes we thought necessary. Shipping came with insurance and a tracking number. Please just see the pictures, because my words cannot describe how beautiful they came out. I recommend her to literally EVERYONE I know who is getting married. This was a wonderful experience, and my husband and I both feel so grateful to have found and worked with her to help make our wedding day the most beautiful day of our lives.

Sunflowers and White Roses Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Welcome back to another addition of “Oh my gosh, that’s so pretty!” I love it when the custom silk wedding flowers I create for a bride end up matching her personality perfectly. Today’s wedding flowers are bubbly, bright, classic, pretty, and fun! This makes it easy to introduce bride Kalie to you because as you’ll see from the photos, she’s all those things too! Let’s take a look at the photos she sent from her photographer Amanda Hansen Photography that you can find on Facebook.

I mean, you get it now right? Look at that smile! Ok, back to the flowers. Kalie’s bouquet was a round handtied style with white Garden Roses Sunflowers, white Baby’s Breath, black Skimmia Berries, small leaf Eucalyptus and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. And if you still weren’t sure how fun she is, take a look at her wedding shoes! Love it!

The bridesmaids carried slightly different bouquets that were round handtied style with just Sunflowers, Baby’s Breath, small leaf and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. I love that they were different so that Kalie’s bouquet stood out more, without being a completely different look. And that gold in the Sunflowers really popped against their black dresses.

I also created two custom altar arrangements to go on the gazebo at their ceremony site. It added a nice touch of color to the all white backdrop, tied in with the bouquets and made for a cohesive look.

Erin was absolutely incredible from the second I contacted her. She was so easy to work with, sweet and kind and extremely detailed. She listened to everything I wanted and suggested the route we go and I was absolutely in love with my flowers. The cost was amazing for the quality! 10/10 recommend!
— Kalie | New York

We can’t forget about our littlest participants! The flower girls each carried mini bouquets and looked like they fit right in with all the grownups in the wedding party. So cute!

Remember those altar arrangements just a few photos ago? I always recommend finding a place that your altar arrangements can do double duty. For Kalie, they had this awesome hoop behind their sweetheart table. Without any decorations you can see how it might just disappear into the background. Ask a friend to help take down your altar arrangement(s) and rehang or place at your reception site and you have instant decor!

Thanks again to our happy couple for sharing their big day with all of us. If you are looking for custom silk wedding flowers that match your personality, style and flair, fill out the Free Bride’s Checklist today!

Neutrals and earth tones have been a hot ticket this last year, and as more and more brides get brave enough to try it out, the more I get to share new and lovely color combinations. Today’s wedding features white, taupe, and nude silk wedding flowers. Bride Kirsten sent me these gorgeous photos to share with you from their very talented photographer Henry Roy Photography. Let’s check them out!

Here’s our magazine worthy couple, in their stunning attire with a absolutely perfect backdrop! Kirsten’s round handtied style bridal bouquet was a mix of white Ranunculus, nude Garden Roses, taupe Cosmos, beige Baby’s Breath, and three varieties of sage color Greenery. Lots of texture, lots of variety in shape and a soft color palette that blends with nature perfectly! The groom’s boutonniere was a nude Garden Rose, taupe Cosmos, beige Baby’s Breath and sage Greenery.

I just love this shot with the fern from the forest accentuating all the greenery in her bouquet!

Erin is fantastic to work with! Reasonably priced, custom, and beautiful!

Fall Silk Wedding Flowers with Navy-Reveal

Navy has been a hot color for the last few years, and it’s been a fun addition to custom silk wedding flowers in all seasons! Today’s wedding features navy with some more traditional fall colors-burgundy and gold. Sheldynn’s fall silk wedding flowers were a vibrant mix of colors, a variety of textures and shapes, but overall a really classic look. Let’s take a look at the photos from their talented photographers The Grotheers.

Here’s our happy couple! Sheldynn’s modified cascade bridal bouquet was a mix of Sunflowers, burgundy Peonies, Dahlia and Roses, navy Delphinium and Berries, white Heather and Baby’s Breath, burgundy Amaranthus and Lamb’s Ear and Ruscus for a pop of green. The groom’s boutonniere was a single burgundy Rose bud with Baby’s Breath, berries and Lamb’s Ear.

The bridesmaids were wearing these gorgeous halter dresses that were the perfect complement to the Peonies. Not to mention, they made all the other colors really stand out! Their bouquets were round handtied style with the same mix of flowers and greenery, including that touch of Amaranthus for a unique addition to their bouquets.

Such a classy looking group!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Vibrant Colors - Reveal and Double Review

Today’s feature is a lovely bridal bouquet recreation that was months in the making! Josiah contacted me about recreating his wife’s vibrant bouquet that was rich with texture and color. When Josiah first reached out, I wasn’t able to find everything I needed to get close enough to the original. Josiah didn’t give up on me and checked back in a few months later to see if I could find what I needed. I looked across various vendors and found great matches that he approved of. Let’s take a look at the bouquet compared to the original from the very talented Devin Ingersoll of Wild Meadow Floral!

custom-bridal-bouquet-recreation-silk-wedding-flowers

This stunning bouquet was a mix of Cabbage and Garden Roses, Dahlia, Ranunculus, Calla Lilies, Scabiosa, Thistle, Pink Berries, Silver Dollar, Seeded, and Gunni Eucalyptus. It had so much going on in the bouquet that any way you looked at it, you see a new and different type of flower or greenery. The original bouquet had burgundy chiffon ribbon with long tails. But for display purposes, I left the wrap simple and we didn’t include the tails.

Erin did an incredible job recreating our bouquet, going out of her way to source the perfect fabric and materials to get the look just right. She even worked with our wedding florist to make sure that it matched exactly. I would work with her again. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Amazing craftmanship!
— Josiah | Massachusetts
I just wanted to say thank you SO much for recreating my beautiful bouquet! I am so happy I get to treasure it forever now. It is absolutely perfect.

Red, Peach, Pink and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal

I have been WAITING for this day to share Brandi and Troy’s STUNNING red, peach, pink and white silk wedding flowers. There is a touch of everything in these wedding florals including tropical, romantic, lush, and even a little art deco. AND WAIT TIL YOU SEE THEIR CAKE! Have I communicated my excitement enough yet? Thanks to Jennifer Juniper Photography for telling the story of Brandi and Troy’s wedding day so well!

Here’s our happy couple! They wanted everything to be packed with meaning for their big day, so I wanted to make sure the flowers were on par with everything else. Brandi’s modified cascade bouquet was a mix of peach cabbage roses, off white orchids, deep red ranunculus, peach ranunculus, red poppy, burgundy roses, red Freesia, burgundy Dahlia, bright pink roses, salmon ranunculus and rose pink Ranunculus.

What I enjoyed about looking through all these images is that everyone’s personality is so evident! They not only took into account their own personalities, but the personalities of their friends and family.

Their wedding took place at the Maitland Art Center and the setting was not only unique but just breathtakingly gorgeous. The pieces I created for the ceremony and reception sites needed to match the grandeur, and the style of our couple. Let’s take a look!

I created custom altar arrangements that incorporate a lot of the same flowers as the bridal bouquet, but in pieces that added some drama and color to the back drop.

Next up is the cake! Brandi sent me an inspiration photo and wanted two custom pieces to drape up and down the layers.

With such a beautiful venue, smaller centerpieces was the perfect choice! I made a few different types and Brandi had containers already picked out and ready to go. I made the centerpieces “bouquet” style, meaning they were ready to just drop in the vases!

Here’s a few more photos of our awesome couple!

Brandi shared this awesome video of Troy’s band, The Edge Effect, singing during the ceremony.

Wedding Bouquet Recreation with Bling

I have an awesome bouquet recreation in silk flowers to show you today that includes some really beautiful bling! Amy reached out to me about recreating her daughter’s lovely wedding bouquet. You can see in the photos below from their photographer Royal Studio- Chicago that it was a stunning mix of white and deep red Roses along with some dusty pink Roses, Spray Roses, Baby’s Breath and some white Caspia. The cool thing about her daughter’s bouquet is that it incorporated small gold brooches with rhinestones and a large blue and gold jeweled brooch that was a show stopper. Amy was able to send both of them to me to include the recreation. Let’s take a look at the side by side to see them both together!

Cabernet, Taupe and Nude Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I am SO excited to share this moody and dreamy and lovely wedding today! Local bride, Abby, had a color palette that I’ve seen rise in popularity the last two years: Cabernet (burgundy), navy and gold. But we didn’t want to hit those head on in the custom bouquets. Instead, we featured that deep burgundy, taupe, a little touch of nude and greenery for bouquets that were lush and textured and really stood out against the cabernet bridesmaid dresses and the mens’ suits. Let’s take a look at Abby’s stunning silk wedding flowers. Photos by the very talented Katy Greseth of Capture Glory Photography. You can find her on FB @KatyGreseth or IG @katygreseth.

Here’s our happy couple! Abby worked closely with me to pick out just the right colors for her bouquet. The bridal bouquet was a loose handtied style with a mix of nude and burgundy Garden Roses, taupe Garden Roses, white seeds and lots of Seeded Eucalyptus. We tied it off with some sheer, gold ribbon to give it just the smallest bit of shimmer and tie in her color scheme even more.

The groom’s boutonniere featured a burgundy Garden Rose, taupe Rose bud, some seeds and Eucalyptus. We used the same sheer gold ribbon to finish off the look.

And because this bouquet is just too pretty, here’s a few more shots of it!

Erin was GREAT to work with! Easy to communicate with, timely with replies, and the flowers turned out beyond perfect. They photograph so well! Would highly recommend working with her.
— Abby | Minnesota

The groomsmen had similar boutonnieres, simplified without the rose bud. It made for a cohesive and classic look.

The bridesmaids carried clutch style bouquets that incorporated one of each of the 3 colors of flowers, seeds and Eucalyptus. Even though clutch bouquets are smaller, you can use greenery to give a fuller look.

One of the many great things about silk wedding flowers is that set up is a snap. You don’t have to pay for a professional to come get things laid out perfectly and they will look great for your entire day. I wanted to show some examples of Abby’s use of silk flowers for wedding decor. Here you can see some clusters of flowers and greens aisle arrangements. These can also be hung on ribbon loops if your chairs allow.

Abby had also order two custom pieces meant to sit on top of wine barrels for the ceremony. Unfortunately, due to rain that day, they had to move things inside. But as you can see, it was a beautiful place to exchange vows and the wine barrel arrangements worked perfectly on stands next to the fireplace.

These custom pieces had a little more height and width to them than a standard bouquet, but had a flat bottom to sit on whatever surface was needed!

At your reception, I always suggest having your bouquets do double duty at your head table or somewhere else in your reception venue. Just buy vases, space them out along the head table and as each of you and your bridal party enter, drop a bouquet in the vase! It’s as easy as that!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers for Vow Renewal - Reveal and Review

Sweet bride, Emily, reached out to me about recreating her beautiful bridal bouquet in silk flowers. She has an upcoming vow renewal and wanted to be able to carry a replica of her bouquet for such a special day. She sent me photos from J + S Photography and I got to work looking for the perfect combination of flowers to recreate her bouquet.

The round handtied style bouquet was a mix of cream Hydrangea, white and nude Roses, Baby’s Breath and Seeded Eucalyptus. Emily’s bouquet is a good example of getting creative to achieve the right look. In this case, I couldn’t find Hydrangea that were more in the budding stage, so I used a combination of Hydrangea and trimmed down Lilac placed in the middle to get a similar look.

I love the bouquet. It is exactly what I was hoping for and I am so excited to use it for our vow renewal as well as to just have it as a keepsake!

Ivory, Champagne and Burnt Orange Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Every few years, a new hot wedding color comes on the scene. A few brave brides go for it, and pretty soon, it’s taking the wedding world by storm. That color is currently burnt orange or terra cotta or some iteration of orange. What’s cool about orange is…well, it’s warmth! It can bring to mind a sunset or being fireside or the warm fuzzies you get when you think of fall coming after a blazing hot summer. Today’s wedding is a lovely example of incorporating ivory, champagne and burnt orange into custom silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at the professional photos bride Katrina sent me from her photographer at Brittany Nicole Photography.

Here’s our knockout bride, Katrina! Here loose, round handtied style bouquet was a mix of peach Cabbage Roses, nude pink Roses, burnt orange Roses, beige Baby's breath, champagne Peonies, cream Cosmos, Lamb's ear, some pink seeds, sage greenery and a mix of Eucalyptus and Olive greenery. We included texture, variety, shades of peaches, champagne and burnt orange and a touch of nude pink.

The bridesmaids were burnt orange dresses that an embossed floral pattern on them, which I thought was such a unique touch and added visual interest to their whole look! Their bouquets were also loose, round handtied style bouquets with the same mix as the bridal bouquet, but with an extra blush pink Rose added in.

The groom wore a navy suit, so his burnt orange Rose with a Cosmos, Baby’s Breath and greenery really popped!

We went with a nude pink rose for the groomsmen, in a similar style but different, just like their gray suits!

I absolutely love the style of Katrina’s cake with it’s rustic vibe with the rough buttercream. The floral clusters for the layers brought it all together.

Erin does an INCREDIBLE job! She is so kind and just truly an incredible person! She is so easy to work with and really brings your dreams to reality! She created our flower arrangements BETTER than I could have ever imagined and made the whole process just 100000x easier for the stressed out bride! 1000/10 would recommend to literally everyone in need of arrangements!
— Katrina | Texas

Katrina wanted a low spray for her head table, which worked perfectly with their custom sign that incorporated their last names. Yes, their last names really are Human and Peoples, a perfect match right??

Cinderella Blue in Destination Silk Wedding Flowers Part 2 - Reveal & Review

Earlier this week, I shared with you Alysya’s Cinderella blue custom silk wedding flowers for her destination wedding at Disney! Today, I get to share more magical photos from her wedding day, inside the park! She sent me more photos from her Disney photographer, Ty Boyce of Disney Fine Art Photography. Not only do we get to see the beautiful flowers and our beautiful bride again, but we get to see them in some iconic locations. Let’s take a look at the magic!

My husband and I had a small destination wedding at Disney World and Erin provided our personal floral. We ordered my bouquet, two smaller bouquets for the bridesmaids, the grooms boutonnière, and two boutonnières for the groomsmen. Floral was tricky for our wedding due to Disney’s strict requirements and the fact that we lived in another state. After looking into many options we decided to work with Erin of Love is Blooming and I’m so glad we did! The floral arrangements were so easy to travel with. One reason that silk floral worked better for us was that we had a separate photo session inside the Disney parks two days after our wedding. Most brides that do this have to purchase two bouquets or request to have their real flowers freshened up for a hefty fee. My bouquet didn’t need that! I received many compliments and one of our guests started giving me tips on preserving my flowers when I had to tell her they were silk. The bridesmaid’s bouquets also made great gifts that the bridesmaids were able to keep and I will always be able to keep my own wedding bouquet forever! I highly recommend working with Love is Blooming.
— Alysya | Texas

I love that one of the busiest (and happiest) places on Earth is so quiet and serene in this photo. What a fun experience to have the whole place to yourself with just your new spouse and the carousel horses to keep you company.

A huge thank you to Alysya for sending me twice the fun with these photos. Bride Alysya contacted me about custom silk wedding flowers for her destination Cinderella blue themed wedding. We didn’t go super traditional, but you’ll see from the photos that her bridal bouquet was both unique and timeless. Let’s take a look at the lovely photos from Jesse Giles Photography of Alysya’s big Disney wedding day!

Here’s our lovely bride Alysya! Her bridal bouquet was a round handtied style bouquet with a mix of ivory Cabbage Roses, white Garden Roses, white Seeds, blue Thistle and Heather and Seeded Eucalyptus. We also brought the blue in with satin ribbon on the handle of the bouquet.

The bridesmaids carried round handtied bouquets with a similar mix of flowers, but we didn’t include the Thistle that was just for Alysya’s bouquet. The touches of blue complemented their dresses perfectly!

Plum, Navy, Purple, Lilac and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Lately, I’ve had a lot of neutrals and white with accent colors wedding themes to share with you. Today was a more saturated color palette of plum, navy, purple, lilac and white! Bride Kasey had a clear vision for her wedding flowers, so once we nailed down which silk flowers worked for each color, we got to designing everything together! Let’s take a look at the photos from Tim McNeese of GVision Productions of their time in the morning getting ready!

Here’s our stunning bride Kasey! Her round style bridal bouquet was a mix of white Garden Roses, lilac Garden Roses, navy Ranunculus, purple Cabbage Roses and plum Ranunculus. We added in some bling to give it a little extra sparkle! Her flower girls all had floral crowns including all her colors and one of her flower girls carried a mini bouquet that matched the bridal bouquet.

Here’s the rest of the lovely ladies, the bridesmaids! Their bouquets were smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, but without the bling. The moms wore wrist corsages in coordinating colors with a small spray of rhinestones, because moms love sparkle too!

Next up are the photos from the ceremony and reception, taken by Mena Darré at Mena Darré Photography.

Let’s look at our bridal party all ready for the big event! The groom wore a gray suit so the three main colors stood out nicely against his jackets. Since the groomsmen and dads were in navy we went with the plum Ranunculus and a white Rose for the Dad.

Look how effortlessly they transitioned from their pretty silk pj’s to formal gowns! Such beauties!

My flowers were so incredibly beautiful, even better than I expected. They were perfect and I received so many compliments. From the time I reached out to Love is Blooming, communication was always easy, effective and professional. Erin offered flower suggestions based on desired colors and seasons, and provided sample pictures based on my vision and inspiration pics. I could not have been more pleased with her work. I would definitely recommend.

Navy, Dusty Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Local bride, Peggy, reached out to me for her winter wedding. She didn’t want to go any traditional route, and her friends were a great help in identifying flowers she would like to include. She sent me her inspiration photos and her colors, and I started making suggestions. What we came up with was a lovely mix of navy, dusty blue and white silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at the photos Peggy shared with me from her big day! Her niece, Jada Gutowski, was the photographer. You can find her on Facebook @jadafayephotography11.

Peggy’s teardrop cascading bridal bouquet was a mix of navy Roses and Peonies, medium blue Spray Roses, dusty blue Anemone, white Phalaenopsis Orchids, white Cabbage and Garden Roses, white Heather and Seeds, Stephanotis, and Longleaf and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. The varying shades of blue with all the textures, the white accents and the touches of greenery made her bouquet a real show stopper!

Peggy had one bridesmaid who carried a round handtied style bouquet with the same mix of flowers. Her flower girl carried a clutch style bouquet. And since Peggy knew she loved rainbows, we added a custom mix of ribbon tails in a variety of rainbow colors. What a sweet touch!

Cake flowers are easy to forget about, but they are also easy to add to your order. Peggy’s cake was a beautiful three tier with frosting polka-dots and blue watercolor-like streaks. I created a topper and a cluster for the bottom layer that brought in all her colors and variety of the flowers.
