Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Vibrant Colors - Reveal and Double Review

Today’s feature is a lovely bridal bouquet recreation that was months in the making! Josiah contacted me about recreating his wife’s vibrant bouquet that was rich with texture and color. When Josiah first reached out, I wasn’t able to find everything I needed to get close enough to the original. Josiah didn’t give up on me and checked back in a few months later to see if I could find what I needed. I looked across various vendors and found great matches that he approved of. Let’s take a look at the bouquet compared to the original from the very talented Devin Ingersoll of Wild Meadow Floral!

This stunning bouquet was a mix of Cabbage and Garden Roses, Dahlia, Ranunculus, Calla Lilies, Scabiosa, Thistle, Pink Berries, Silver Dollar, Seeded, and Gunni Eucalyptus. It had so much going on in the bouquet that any way you looked at it, you see a new and different type of flower or greenery. The original bouquet had burgundy chiffon ribbon with long tails. But for display purposes, I left the wrap simple and we didn’t include the tails.

Erin did an incredible job recreating our bouquet, going out of her way to source the perfect fabric and materials to get the look just right. She even worked with our wedding florist to make sure that it matched exactly. I would work with her again. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Amazing craftmanship!

Roses are Red...

Roses that are red might make you think of Valentine’s Day, but they don’t have to! This bridal bouquet recreation in silk wedding flowers is a great example of how to keep it looking like a Hallmark holiday bouquet.

Corey sent me photos of his wife’s gorgeous bouquet he wanted to order to celebrate their fall anniversary. This bouquet included red garden and spray Roses, burgundy Dahlias, burgundy Ranunculus, ivory Ranunculus, white Waxflower, deep purple Scabiosa, Fern and Smilax.

Perhaps if the original bouquet had only included true red and white flowers, this bouquet would lack some depth and interest and make us think either Christmas or Valentine’s Day. Instead, the original florist incorporated some beautiful jewel tones, a variety of shades of red and burgundy and some lovely greenery to make this gorgeous bouquet.

I got a replica of my wife’s bouquet for our anniversary. Erin was amazing creating the bouquet and nailing the price and quick turn around time I had. It looks identical! Would definitely use her again and recommend to anyone!

Incorporating Dried Flowers in your Silk Bridal Bouquet Recreation

There have been a few instances where I wasn't able to track down a silk version of a specific flower that I need to fully recreate a bridal bouquet in silk flowers. In those instances, I found an awesome and true-to-the-design replacement with dried elements.  That was the case with Kyle's bridal bouquet recreation for his wife.  She had this adorable bouquet that had the ever so unique Gomphrena throughout. I searched through my various suppliers and wasn't able to find what I needed so I turned to a dried flower vendor on Etsy. It was a great way to support another small business and bring this bouquet to life.

The original bouquet was picked on a farm of whatever happened to be growing at the time. It included white Dahlias, Lavender Roses, Scabiosa, Gomphrena and greenery.  Lovely!

Brandon also wanted his boutonniere recreated. A lavender Rose, Scabiosa and a couple of those cute little Gomphrena and tied off with the same charcoal satin ribbon as was on the bridal bouquet recreation.

Here's a photo of the original bouquet; awesome, right? Photo provided by: Laura's Focus Photography.
