Custom Bridal Bouquet Recreation with Orchids - Reveal and Review

Mike contacted me for a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk wedding flowers for his upcoming anniversary. This beautiful bouquet was a combination of white Roses and Casablanca Lilies, Blue Dendrobium Orchids and Pittosporum. He had held onto the large rhinestones from his wife’s original bouquet and sent those to me to include in the recreation. I love the drama of this round handtied style bouquet with its high contrast of white flowers and the dark orchids. Then when you add in the bling it’s a fun little surprise!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers for Dried Bouquet Gone Wrong - Reveal and Review

Today, I’m sharing with you Jenifer’s tale of drying her bridal bouquet gone wrong. Thankfully this story ends on a high note! Jenifer reached out to me after attempting to dry her bouquet from her August 2021 wedding day. It didn’t go as planned, and she loved her bouquet so much, she started looking for a way to recreate it. I think you can guess where the story is going… she found me! She sent me a few photos and details about her bouquet and I got to work recreating her bridal bouquet in silk flowers. Let’s take a look at how it turned out!

Jenifer’s bouquet was a lovely mix of Cabbage Roses, Casablanca Lilies, Heather, Astilbe, Hydrangea, Cosmos, Lamb’s Ear, Grass, and Hydrangea Greenery in a round handtied style bouquet.

Ivory, Champagne and Burnt Orange Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Every few years, a new hot wedding color comes on the scene. A few brave brides go for it, and pretty soon, it’s taking the wedding world by storm. That color is currently burnt orange or terra cotta or some iteration of orange. What’s cool about orange is…well, it’s warmth! It can bring to mind a sunset or being fireside or the warm fuzzies you get when you think of fall coming after a blazing hot summer. Today’s wedding is a lovely example of incorporating ivory, champagne and burnt orange into custom silk wedding flowers. Let’s take a look at the professional photos bride Katrina sent me from her photographer at Brittany Nicole Photography.

Here’s our knockout bride, Katrina! Here loose, round handtied style bouquet was a mix of peach Cabbage Roses, nude pink Roses, burnt orange Roses, beige Baby's breath, champagne Peonies, cream Cosmos, Lamb's ear, some pink seeds, sage greenery and a mix of Eucalyptus and Olive greenery. We included texture, variety, shades of peaches, champagne and burnt orange and a touch of nude pink.

The bridesmaids were burnt orange dresses that an embossed floral pattern on them, which I thought was such a unique touch and added visual interest to their whole look! Their bouquets were also loose, round handtied style bouquets with the same mix as the bridal bouquet, but with an extra blush pink Rose added in.

The groom wore a navy suit, so his burnt orange Rose with a Cosmos, Baby’s Breath and greenery really popped!

We went with a nude pink rose for the groomsmen, in a similar style but different, just like their gray suits!

I absolutely love the style of Katrina’s cake with it’s rustic vibe with the rough buttercream. The floral clusters for the layers brought it all together.

Cinderella Blue in Destination Silk Wedding Flowers Part 2 - Reveal & Review

Earlier this week, I shared with you Alysya’s Cinderella blue custom silk wedding flowers for her destination wedding at Disney! Today, I get to share more magical photos from her wedding day, inside the park! She sent me more photos from her Disney photographer, Ty Boyce of Disney Fine Art Photography. Not only do we get to see the beautiful flowers and our beautiful bride again, but we get to see them in some iconic locations. Let’s take a look at the magic!

“My husband and I had a small destination wedding at Disney World and Erin provided our personal floral. We ordered my bouquet, two smaller bouquets for the bridesmaids, the grooms boutonnière, and two boutonnières for the groomsmen. Floral was tricky for our wedding due to Disney’s strict requirements and the fact that we lived in another state. After looking into many options we decided to work with Erin of Love is Blooming and I’m so glad we did! The floral arrangements were so easy to travel with. One reason that silk floral worked better for us was that we had a separate photo session inside the Disney parks two days after our wedding. Cinderella Blue in Destination Silk Wedding Flowers Part 1- Reveal

Today, I get to share a Disney Princess with you!! Ok, maybe not a real princess from a royal line, but a bride who got to live the princess dream for her wedding day! Bride Alysya contacted me about custom silk wedding flowers for her destination Cinderella blue themed wedding. We didn’t go super traditional, but you’ll see from the photos that her bridal bouquet was both unique and timeless. Let’s take a look at the lovely photos from Jesse Giles Photography of Alysya’s big Disney wedding day!

Here’s our lovely bride Alysya! Her bridal bouquet was a round handtied style bouquet with a mix of ivory Cabbage Roses, white Garden Roses, white Seeds, blue Thistle and Heather and Seeded Eucalyptus. We also brought the blue in with satin ribbon on the handle of the bouquet.

The bridesmaids carried round handtied bouquets with a similar mix of flowers, but we didn’t include the Thistle that was just for Alysya’s bouquet. The touches of blue complemented their dresses perfectly!

Burgundy, White and Green Winter Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I know it’s just newly spring, but if you looked around outside here in Minnesota, it still looks like a winter wonderland. So in the spirit of sucking it up, here’s a lovely winter wedding to share with you! Bride Kasey was looking for burgundy, white and green winter silk wedding flowers. I love to do winter bouquets because you can do some unique mixes of greenery, and it’s always a fun challenge to keep them from looking too Christmas-y. Kasey sent me some lovely photos by her very talented photographer Sapphire Heart Photography. Let’s take a look!

Kasey’s bridal bouquet was a round handtied style with a mix of white Garden and Cabbage Roses, burgundy Dahlia and Astilbe, white Seeds, Dusty Miller, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and Cedar. It was lush, a little wild, and perfect for her wedding day.

She wanted her bouquet to stand out from the rest, so for the bridesmaids we simplified the look to include only white Garden and Cabbage Roses with seeds and the same mix of greenery. They really popped against their dark green velvet dresses!

Lavender Bouquet Recreation with Accents - Reveal and Review

Today, I get to share with you a lovely lavender bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers with some unique accents. Rich reached out to me and sent me a few photos, taken by a family friend, from their wedding day. His wife’s bouquet was a mix of white and lavender Roses, ribbon accents and small silver/pearl bulbs mixed in. Let’s take a look at the recreation!

While I always do my very best to match as closely as possible, sometimes there are slight changes that have to be made. As in this case, I wasn’t able to find ribbon in the same striped look in the right color. I did find a color match that was acceptable to Rich and he felt it was a good representation of the look of the bouquet overall.

Neutral Boho Chic Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

The last few years, the Boho trend has really taken off. Of course, it can mean a lot of different things to different people, but today’s wedding is a great example of this trend! Jessica was looking for custom silk wedding flowers in a neutral color palette to complement the colors in the bridal party’s attire. Let’s take a look at her show stopping arrangements in these photos by Sweet Apple Creative!

Here’s our beautiful bride Jessica! Her dress had so much detail, and it was important that her bouquet matched in style and texture. In her round handtied style bridal bouquet, we incorporated brown and nude Garden Roses, white Phalaenopsis Orchids, white Fern, white Ruscus and Pampas Grasses.

Her groom’s suit and son’s suits were in her matching color palette and Jessica chose to feature the brown rose with white and cream accents.

I just love the softness that his velvet bowtie and pocket square bring to the look!

Burgundy and Navy Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Last week’s post featured a shade of blue that’s coming on the scene and picking up speed. Today, I want to share with you a wedding that features a tried and true combo: burgundy and navy blue! I’ve done quite a few weddings with this combination over the last few years as more and more couples chose navy instead of black for suits and tuxes. And today’s wedding is a great example of that. The groom wore a boutonniere of a burgundy rose, navy Ranunculus and mixed greenery.

Salmon, Dusty Blue and White Silk Wedding Flowers- Reveal and Review

Dusty blue was a hot color in 2022 and I fully expect it to stick around through 2023. You may have seen it on my blog paired with yellow, blush pink, burgundy and even lavender! Today, I get to share a pairing that you might not expect, but as you’ll soon see, it’s an amazing combo. Salmon and dusty blue for the win!

Let’s take a look at these gorgeous wedding photos from Paige’s wedding day. These were taken by the very talented Palms and Lace Photo.

Here’s our lovely bride, Paige! Her loose, round, handtied style bridal bouquet was a mix of ivory Sophia Roses, white Anemone, ivory Cabbage Roses with peach centers, salmon Delphinium, white Larkspur, dusty blue Roses, Seeded and small leaf Eucalyptus.

The bridesmaids wore beautiful dusty blue dresses and carried a mix of the bridal flowers in smaller clutch style bouquets. We wrapped them matching dusty blue ribbon to add a little more color.

The groom’s boutonniere incorporated both main colors while we simplified the groomsmen to have a white Anemone and a touch of the salmon Delphinium.

Paige also added to her order some small centerpieces. We featured the Cabbage Roses, salmon Delphinium and Eucalyptus for simple and pretty pieces. She purchases vases she liked and these mini bouquets just had to be dropped in before the big day.

Bold and Bright Spring Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

Today’s bride, Kimberly, filled out the Free Bride’s Checklist and also included links to bouquets that had caught her eye. What I noticed right away were the bright colors, varying textures of the flowers and sunflowers! I got a little excited about her designs and sent her a bunch of ideas. Then, I looked at everything a second time and sent her a whole bunch more options. What we landed on is bold, bright and a little spunky. Kimberly’s bouquet was a loose and lush round handtied style bouquet with sunflowers, purple Hydrangea, magenta Cabbage Roses, orange and pink Ranunculus, blue Prunus, orange Cosmos, blue Dogwood, yellow Freesia, lavender seeds, and light green Roses. You almost have to look at it twice to see everything that’s in there!

The groom’s boutonniere was a mini Sunflower, purple Hydrangea, and pink and orange Ranunculus. We tied it off with twine to have a similar texture to the burlap that all the bouquets were wrapped with.

The lovely bridesmaids wore purple dresses and those bright tones really popped against such a rich backdrop!

Kimberly also wanted to incorporate matching florals to the large arbor for their outdoor ceremony. She opted for two altar arrangements to attach to the sides of the arbor. The swags matched the bridal bouquet flowers on a bed of eucalyptus.

Austin contacted me about recreating his wife’s beautiful, orchid filled bouquet for their upcoming anniversary. He sent me a few photos and I got to work finding just the right silk wedding flowers to recreate her original bridal bouquet. Let’s take a look at the original alongside the recreation!

The bouquet was a mix of white Roses and Hydrangea, white Cymbidium Orchids with Burgundy tips and green berries. It was wrapped with white satin ribbon and finished off with a neat bow.

Dusty Rose and Ivory Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I love to share all my weddings, but the soft and romantic color palettes will always have my heart! Jennifer’s custom silk wedding flowers were a mix of white and dusty pink flowers with a touch of greenery. I was so excited to show her a few new options I had found including the dusty pink Lilac. Those lacey little flowers added so much texture with just a kiss of color. Let’s take a look at these wonderful images by Nikki Joachim Photography to see what Jennifer and I came up with together!

Jennifer specified that she wanted a loose look to the bouquets with space between things. She decided on the round handtied style, and I made some suggestions for a full bouquet that wouldn’t mean every flower would be packed in tightly. Her bouquet consisted of champagne Roses, ivory Ranunculus, dusty pink Lilac, white seeds, Lamb's Ear, white Larkspur, ivory Garden Roses, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and small leaf Eucalyptus.

Jennifer’s bridesmaid carried a matching style bouquet, just a bit smaller. The boutonnieres combined the ivory flowers and bits of the dusty pink Lilac with greenery to match the ladies.

At the altar was a table that I designed a swag/garland combination piece for. The center was a spray of Roses, Lilac and greens with long Eucalyptus pieces trailing from both sides. It filled the table nicely without being over the top. The best part is, they were able to use at there reception site for their sweetheart table as well.

Peach, White, and Succulent Bridal Bouquet Recreation - Reveal and Review

While it’s too late for a Christmas gift idea for this year, a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers is a great idea for an anniversary, Valentine’s, birthday or ‘just because’ gift in 2023. Here’s a great example of a custom bouquet recreation for a local client. Spencer sent me a few photos of his wife’s bouquet, and I got to work finding the perfect flowers and greens to recreate it. This stunning bouquet was a mix of peach Cabbage Roses, white Hydrangea, pale peach Gardenia, white Astilbe, Succulents, Eucalyptus Seeds, Silver Dollar and Sword Eucalyptus in a round, handtied style.

“My wife and I were living in New Orleans when we were married while we were renovating our house. After our wedding, our house came together, but her bouquet from it fell apart. Damaged from construction debris, dust, and eventually a move to Minnesota, we lost something we expected to cherish for a long time. We recently celebrated our four year anniversary and when my wife told me this years theme, I knew exactly what I wanted to get her. I searched online for bouquet recreations and stumbled on Erin. She was incredibly helpful, responsive, and clear in her communication. Most importantly, what she created is perfect. It’s hard to tell the difference between the original bouquet and the recreation.”

The original bouquet had a small wrapping of off white satin ribbon with a overlay of lace. While I wasn’t able to get the exact lace, I found a close enough piece that mimicked the original bouquet.

Custom Silk Flower Bridal Bouquet - Reveal and Review

Back in June, I shared Sarah’s custom silk bridal bouquet I made to match her existing bridesmaid bouquets. It was a lovely mix of purple and white flowers with a touch of navy. Her silk bridal bouquet was a loose, round hand-tied style full of white Garden and Cabbage Roses, lavender Garden Roses, medium purple Ranunculus and cabbage Roses, plum tea Roses, Lavender, white Baby’s Breath, Waxflower and Blueberries. I made it nice and lush with adding a variety of greenery, including: Lamb’s Ear, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, Standard Eucalyptus and Ruscus. Victor reached out to me about recreating his wife’s beautiful bouquet in silk wedding flowers for an anniversary present. It was a lovely mix of pink and white roses, bright pink lisianthus, soft pink calla lilies, white Freesia and plum seeds in a loose hand-tied style bouquet. Today I get to share a really bright and vibrant bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers with you! Matt was looking to have his wife’s bouquet recreated. He sent me a few photos of the original that showed all the details really well, which made things so easy for me! This lush and vibrant bouquet was a mix of white and blush Garden Roses, magenta Garden Roses, magenta Spray Roses, white Hydrangea, green Snowball bush, Dusty Miller, Fern and Eucalyptus. Nathan reached out to me to recreate his wife’s beautiful bridal bouquet. It was a mix of salmon, light peach, and blush pink Garden and Spray Roses, two tone Spider Mums, burgundy Carnations, plum Scabiosa, burgundy Astilbe, and a lush mix of Eucalyptus. Let’s take a look at the side-by-side.

Jewel Tone and Woodland Theme Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

I’m so excited to share Sarah’s beautiful woodland themed silk wedding flowers that had bright pops of color and jewel tones throughout. These amazing images are from the very talented JLA Photography out of Virginia. Let’s take a look at this special wedding day!

Sarah and her groom’s venue had wood tones throughout so she really wanted everything to pop against the backdrop while also complementing the berry pink bridesmaid dresses. Her inspiration photos had various types of flowers and colors and once we narrowed down which colors we wanted to include, we came up with a really striking combination for her bouquet. Sarah’s whimsical woodland bouquet was a loose handtied style with navy Delphinium, berry Peonies and Dahlia, spice orange Ranunculus, eggplant Poppies, blue Clematis, white seeds, trailing greenery, twigs and bright pink Lotus flowers. The Lotus had special meaning to Sarah and because she chose silk wedding flowers, I could actually make this happen. In nature, Lotus flowers grow in water, so cutting them and placing in a bouquet would mean they would wilt rather quickly.

“I stumbled upon the Love Is Blooming blog through a simple Google search and fell in love with the beautiful jewel tone creations by Erin. I knew I wanted something similar for my August 2022 wedding. Erin was extremely responsive, answering all my questions and providing thoughtful suggestions. She was able to stay within my budget and incorporated a woodland aesthetic to match our style. I enjoyed watching her creativity flow and she graciously included the personalizations I requested to make it one-of-a-kind.

The final result was a collection of flowers that had meaningful symbolism perfectly curated by Love Is Blooming. Similar flowers were used in the bouts, mother of the bride corsages and bridesmaid bouquets.

I just love the way those dresses pop against all the greenery!

The bridesmaid carried complementary but very different bouquets from Sarah. She had previously bought some really pretty pre-made bouquets but they needed a little something special. I was able to add in a few more flowers to dress them up to match. The bridesmaid bouquets were a mix of white and ivory peonies, roses and Dahlia. I found Tear Roses in a deep berry pink color that were a great match to the dresses. For a little more texture and color we also add in some pink Waxflower and finished with a little bit of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

Copper and Cream Silk Wedding Flowers - Reveal and Review

What I LOVE about my job is the creativity! Cressie contacted me and wanted to have copper somehow incorporated into her wedding flowers. Finding ways to incorporate unique accents, like copper or peacock feathers or pinecones (I could go one) is a fun challenge. It needs to be noticeable, but not in a “I just put copper piping in your bouquet” kind of way. I went on the hunt and found this beautiful copper-tinged Sword Eucalyptus that felt like the perfect touch for her custom silk flower bouquets. Let’s take a look at the photos Cressie sent over from her very talented photographer, Shawgo Studios.

For Cressie’s bouquet, I used a variety of cream silk wedding flowers. My favorites were the Sophia Roses that had a deeper, almost taupe center to them. They added so much depth. She also had Cabbage Roses, Baby’s Breath, Lamb’s Ear and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus for more traditional types of greenery. Both Cressie and her bridesmaids carried round handtied style bouquets.

I still love the look of varying shades and styles of bridesmaid dresses. And I bet the bridesmaids love it too!
