Gold, White and Peacock Feathers Bouquet Recreation - Reveal

Kirk reached out to me for a custom bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers for his wife’s unique winter bridal bouquet. Whenever a bouquet has accents, it can present a challenge in recreating it, but I was up for the challenge. Let’s take a look at a side-by-side of the recreation with his wife’s original bouquet!

This bouquet is what is called presentation style or can also be considered a clutch bouquet because it features just 5 flowers. But don’t let the small amount of flowers fool you into thinking it didn’t have impact. Her bouquet featured large, white Calla Lilies and was framed by Peacock feathers and glittery gold Palm Leaves. Finish it off with some shimmery gold ribbon and it was an awesome bouquet!

When you look at their bouquets up against their satiny dresses, the shimmer and gold in the bouquets works beautifully with the colors and the shine!

Silk Wedding Flower Arrangements Feature: Bridesmaid Bouquets Part 2

As promised, today is all about silk flower bridesmaid bouquet shapes! Much like I talked about in the feature on silk flower bridal bouquets, there are two main shapes to bridesmaid bouquets: Round ball and round handtied. But if you feel boxed in by that, don’t be, because I’ve seen the most creativity in bridesmaid bouquet shapes than in any other category of wedding flower arrangement. Let’s start off looking at the more traditional shapes!

Round Ball Bridesmaid Bouquet

This side-by-side photo shows a round ball style bridal bouquet with the matching round ball style bridesmaid bouquet on the right. You can see the tight composure of the bouquet and the very clear ball shape.

Round Handtied Bridesmaid Bouquet

You can see from this photo that the bouquets have more variance in shape and composition and there bits of greenery and flowers sticking out from the parameters of a true sphere.

The other big category of silk flower bridesmaid bouquets would be the Clutch style. It’s often a good option for smaller budgets while still incorporating flowers for the bridesmaids to carry down the aisle. Here are a few examples of different shapes of clutch style bridesmaid bouquets.

This next design is a different take on the clutch bouquet, sometimes called a presentation bouquet. It can be great for a formal setting because doesn’t take away from the venue or bridesmaid dresses. It is simple, but classic with a few flowers and some ribbon!

This last example is a unique one that I haven’t done very often and it’s actually a silk flower bridesmaid bouquet hoop! For this wedding, they were incorporating circles and she asked me to use gold metal hoops with a silk flower arrangement attached to each one for her bridesmaids (and her flower girls) to carry down the aisle. I loved this idea!
