Fall Wedding Bouquet, Boutonniere and Cake Topper Recreation in Silk Flowers

Technically it’s still fall here in Minnesota. But I’m currently looking at snow on the ground and my kids have already made numerous sets of snow angels in the last week. So I’m bringing us back for a hot second to that little glorious bit of fall we had before the white stuff started. Maybe where you are it’s still all red and gold and pretty. This post is a little bit fall and a whole lot of pretty.

Clare contacted me a few months ago to recreate a couple special arrangements for her one year anniversary. She sent over a photo of the original wedding bouquet and boutonniere as well as a photo of her wedding cake. Clare wanted a recreation in silk flowers of just a small cluster of flowers made to match the bouquet and boutonniere to use for their anniversary. With pictures in hand, I got to work.

Here is our lovely couple on their wedding day. You can see the beautiful variety of fall flowers in the bouquet and how that was mirrored in the groom’s boutonniere. There were Sunflowers, Hypericum Berries, orange and red Roses, Seeded Eucalyptus, and fall foliage.

...words cannot express how beautiful they are!! They are even prettier in person if that was possible! I love how you even captured how the sunflower in the center was a little squished in there!! They look exactly like my real ones!! Thank you so so so much!!

We added burlap to both arrangements for that perfect rustic touch.

Fall Silk Bouquet Recreation with Sunflowers

Fall is such a magical time. The leaves are changing, there is cooler weather, and my favorite part: I get to bring out my sweaters! Fall is great for other reasons too: sunflowers, cozy and warm color combinations, and anniversaries. And lots of them.

Trey had me recreate his wife’s beautiful bouquet that had some classic touches of fall. Composed of Sunflowers, Zinnias, Billy Buttons, Fern, Seeded Eucalyptus, and a little green Moss makes this for a bright and sunny fall bouquet. Trey had a good eye for detail, so when it came time for me to wrap the stems, he was able to clue me in on the original material. His wife had it wrapped in blue tulle; it was her “something blue.” Cute, right? Take a look at this awesome silk bouquet recreation!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation with Lilies

Justin’s wife’s bouquet was a simple mix of Lilies, Heather and greenery. The beautiful gold bow really set it apart.

When I sent Justin a preliminary photo of his silk wedding bouquet recreation, he felt like it was missing the Lily buds and enough greenery around the bottom. So with a little tweaking we got it just right. Take a look!

Lilies were a popular flower for recreations in September! Check out last week’s blog post to see another example of a bridal bouquet recreation that incorporated Lilies. Contact me today for a free quote for your bouquet recreation!

Lily Silk Wedding Bouquet Recreation

Jordan emailed me photos of his wife’s beautiful wedding bouquet. He mentioned that he didn’t think it was the most wide variety of flowers, so we worked especially hard to get all those other details just right. Lilies, Alstroemeria and Roses were the only flowers in the bouquet, but a tropical mix of greenery and that amazing bow shaped it up into an awesome bouquet recreation!

Here is that beautiful, tropical beauty of a bouquet! Photos from: Edoo Photography

Erin’s work exceeded my expectations. My wife’s bouquet wasn’t as intricate as some I’ve seen so I was worried that a recreation might not have the “character” of the original, but Erin was able to match so much of the small details that it came out looking just like the real thing. Erin’s turnaround time was great, as was her communication throughout the process. I’m very happy with how it all turned out, as is my wife.

Bouquet Recreation Review

If you’re just starting to look for that perfect anniversary gift and you’ve stumbled across some bridal bouquet recreation examples here at Love Is Blooming, it might be helpful to hear what someone else had to say about the process! Here’s what Jessica had to say:

Working with Erin was a great experience. She was very responsive in her communication and was able to recreate my wedding bouquet from several pictures I sent her over email. Her passion and knowledge really showed. When I received my recreated wedding bouquet, I fell in love with it all over again! The flowers were gorgeous and it looked just like my original bouquet. I was amazed as to how real the silk flowers looked. I have my bouquet displayed in my home and I smile every time I see it. It brings back great memories of my wedding day. I would definitely recommend Love is Blooming as it was a great experience from start to finish. If you are thinking about using silk flowers or are wanting a recreation of a bouquet, use Erin at Love is Blooming, you will not be disappointed.

Unique Cascading Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers

Bridal bouquet recreations in silk flowers are always a fun adventure for me. When I receive an email requesting a quote, it’s interesting to see what shows up in the photographs I’m sent. This awesome bouquet for Shane’s wife is a unique cascading bridal bouquet that featured some beautiful colors, textures and lots of Seeded Eucalyptus. You can see from the photos that the flowers were unwrapped on the handle and since I couldn’t really replicate the water containers either, I knew we’d have to make a change. Here’s a look at the recreation and the original.

Hi Erin,
I received the bouquet today. It is magnificent!!

Perfect timing, too, as our anniversary is this Wednesday (and it’s killing me to keep it a secret now that it’s here).

My wife decided to start celebrating early by surprising me with a gift on the weekend, and she mentioned that she has another gift for Wednesday. She was teasing me that she was going to “win” this anniversary. :)

Of course her gifts are great, but she has no idea what she is up against here...she is going to be stunned by this bouquet!

Thanks so much for the amazing work and terrific service!
— Shane | Ohio

The beautiful bouquet had a mix of white Hydrangea, yellow Rose buds, lavender Roses, peach/pink Roses with tons of seeded Eucalyptus. We couldn’t quite tell what the original ribbon was, so I gave Shane a couple of suggestions that would maintain the original style and complement the flowers and he picked what he thought would look good on the bouquet. Here’s a close up of the bow detail.

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers Review

Erin at Love is Blooming did a great job reproducing my wife’s bridal bouquet in silk flowers for our fourth (silk) wedding anniversary. Erin was very responsive to all my questions, and we communicated seemlessly via email. The turn around time was amazing. The photos of the final product look GREAT, and I can’t wait to see it. I expect to get the silk bouquet two weeks earlier then promised. I will certainly get some big brownie points from my wife for this anniversary gift! Thanks Erin!

Recreation and Reshaping a Silk Bridal Bouquet

Jonathan contacted me just a couple weeks before his anniversary and wanted to have his wife’s bridal bouquet recreated with silk flowers. He sent me a couple photos and we got to work discussing how to make it happen.

One thing to consider when having a bouquet recreated is the original shape. In this case, the bouquet was a long, teardrop, cascading bouquet. Because Jonathan planned to display the bouquet in a vase after he gave it to her, I suggested that keep the overall look of the bouquet with the same flowers as the original, but reshape it to be fuller at the top with a smaller tail.

This gorgeous bouquet had white Dendrobium Orchids, pale pink Roses, and ivory Roses.

This picture shows how we maintained a cascading shape with the ability to be placed in a vase and still look similar to the original.

Pink, Navy and Gold Silk Wedding Flowers

There are a few color combos that have popped up quite a bit this year. Blush pink has been super popular, obviously so because of its classic touch to any wedding. Plus it pairs very well with a lot of different colors; navy is one of those! Take a look at local bride TomiAnn’s beautiful silk wedding flowers:

TomiAnn chose beautiful blue Hydrangea to be in her bouquet, along with beautiful ivory Roses and pale pink Peonies. We tied it off with navy ribbon. TomiAnn had a couple meaningful elements in her silk wedding flowers, including this very special charm for an honored loved one. She ordered this from another vendor and had me add it to the bouquet.

TomiAnn’s maid of honor is going to carry this beautiful and complementary bouquet:

The Maid of Honor bouquet included the same ivory roses and pale pink Peonies. We tied it off with a sheer gold ribbon for a touch of shine and to match her navy, gold and pink color scheme.

Toss Bouquet

We incorporated all the colors into the boutonnieres and corsages. We used pink roses for most of the main flowers, adding in a little blue to the mothers, grandmother and groom’s flowers. TomiAnn also had charms for the mothers and the groom’s. I especially loved this touching way to honor people in her life.

Silk Wedding Flower Review

Last week I showed you Araina's beautiful flowers. And this week, I'm showing you a few action shots provided by the bride herself!

DSC07395.JPG

Gorgeous right? I worked primarily with Araina's grandmother, Diane, to plan and design the flowers. So whether you are planning your wedding or planning it for someone else, silk wedding flowers are a great option! You get the benefit of seeing how they come together, which is especially helpful if you are the "middleman" and need to check with someone else. Araina was able to keep working on planning other parts of her wedding while still in the loop about her flowers. I didn't have to keep asking her all the questions, but she also wasn't surprised on her wedding day about what her flowers were going to look like.

The bridesmaids wore beautiful blush pink dresses that complimented the bouquets perfectly!

The flowers were awesome and many people commented on them. The most common praise was, “Silk? I thought they were real!”

Blush Silk Wedding Flowers

Despite Pantone having chosen Ultra Violet as the color of the year, I've gotten more requests for blush pink flowers this year than anything else! Here's one of those beautiful weddings!

The bridal bouquet was a combination of blush Peonies, ivory Roses and ivory fresh touch Calla Lilies. It was soft, feminine, elegant and everything you want in a bridal bouquet!

With the bridesmaid bouquets, we did an "opposites" effect. It's a fairly popular option to make the bridal bouquet stand out from the bridesmaids. We used ivory Peonies and blush Roses. No Calla Lilies were included because that was a special flower just for the bride and groom.

When you are using Calla Lilies and Roses, boutonnieres and corsages are fairly easy to design. They are timeless flowers that look great on their own or with a little accent color or flowers.

If you are incorporating blush in your bouquets, take a look at some other silk wedding flowers that incorporated this bridal classic. Then send in your Free Bride's Checklist to get the design process started!

This recreation consisted of ivory Roses, white Stock, and blue Gypsophilia (Baby's Breath) finished off with a beautiful Antique White ribbon that fits right between the ivory and white flowers.

Maria, chose to not have the gems added into her bouquet, but as you can see from this beautiful photo provided by Express It Video & Photography that her recreation is still amazing and really captures the design and beauty of her original bridal bouquet.

I loved my wedding bouquet and was so sad when it dried up. I contacted a few places but Love Is Blooming is the only one who answered me right away. I was notified and sent pictures of each step and was asked questions to make sure everything was the way I wanted. Any questions I had were answered within a day. I am in love with my new bouquet. The first time I saw my bouquet, it brought back memories to when I saw my bouquet the day of my wedding. Now I get to look at my bouquet every day and remember that day forever!!

Maria also sent me a photo after she received her bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers. She had saved the rhinestones from her wedding day and was able to add them back in herself. Take a look!

Mauve and Blush Silk Wedding Flowers

It might be obvious that what I do is fun, but every once in a while it's a little...extra. When I get a bride who gives me some freedom to come up with something special, it's a fun challenge for me. Liz is one of those brides. Her sister Katherine had the same adventurous spirit when it came to her wedding flowers. Sounds like a fun family to be a part of!

So when Liz contacted me to do her silk wedding flowers too, I was excited because she gave me a color palette of mauve and blush pink and mentioned she wanted a variety of greenery.  Here's what I came up with:

This stunning, cascading bouquet has blush Peonies, light and dark mauve fresh touch Roses, ivory Roses, Baby's breath, mauve Thistle, Seeded Eucalyptus and Dusty Miller. I tied it off with a beautiful mauve satin ribbon to finish the look. The textures are so interesting and the color combo is just gorgeous!

The bridesmaid bouquets had some of the same flowers as the bridal, but a different shape. They also had the blush Peonies, ivory Roses, dark mauve Roses, Baby's Breath, Seeded Eucalyptus and Dusty Miller. It still had lots of fun texture and color, but the bridal bouquet had those few extra elements to set it apart. I wrapped the bridesmaid and toss bouquets in a blush pink satin ribbon for an elegant touch.

One of the bridesmaid bouquets with the cute little toss bouquet. The toss included ivory Roses, a single dark mauve Rose, Seeded Eucalyptus and that beautiful mauve satin ribbon.

The boutonnieres and corsages used mauve and ivory roses with various greenery and smaller accent flowers to bring in more of the colors. If you want to see more weddings that incorporated mauve, check out these blog posts!

If you have a general idea but are looking for ways to jazz up a basic plan, I'm the one you need to talk to! Whether it's bringing more color to your flowers, adding unique textures or finding ways to set apart your wedding flowers, I've got ideas. Contact me to get started!

Ivory and White Silk Wedding Flower Bouquets with Greenery

You can't go wrong with ivory and white flowers in your silk wedding flower bouquets. Toss in some greenery and you've got a versatile design that could do any season and still look great.

Peonies, Roses, Baby's Breath and Ficus leaves are the perfect combination for classic wedding flowers.

The bridesmaid bouquets were smaller versions of the bridal. These looser hand tied style bouquets are a little less formal style and great for any wedding venue.

Deanna made this order completely on behalf of her daughter. It was a seamless process from design, to creation, to finish! She was able to relay our ideas to her daughter who gave some feedback before the official thumbs up on her designs. We tied everything off with a slightly shimmery gold ribbon for her August wedding.

Whether you know exactly what you want, or maybe you are ordering on behalf of someone else, silk wedding flowers are a great option because you get a say in how it all comes together. Custom silk wedding flowers are great for so many reasons and the best part is that Deanna will have these flowers in hand, weeks before her daughter walks down the aisle. She knows what they look like and there are no flower surprises on such a big day. If you are considering silk flowers for your wedding, request a free quote today!

Wedding Bouquet Bling in Silk Flowers- Part 3

Here's another beautiful artificial silk wedding flower bouquet with even more sparkles!

This beautiful cascading silk flower bouquet is simple in design--just Garden and Calla Lilies--but it's breathtaking with all the bling!

One way to really up the shine factor was to include this awesome bouquet handle wrap that is just dripping with rhinestones. It's the same one I used on this and this bouquet. This custom piece is by Body Werk Jewels, check them out if you’d like to see more of what they offer. In the bouquet, I added a starburst broach and draped a rhinestone and beaded sash to really accent the shape of the bouquet. I wish you could see the bouquet in person because the pictures really don't do it justice!

What do you think? Too much? Not enough? If you like the design but want to put your own spin on it, contact me today to start designing your dream wedding flowers!

Wedding Bouquet Bling in Silk Flowers- Part 2

So last week I showed you a beautiful cascading silk wedding bouquet with 3 types of bling. This week we are going to Supersize It! This is the point where Oprah comes out and says, "YOU get a broach, and YOU get a broach, and YOUUUUUUU get a broach!!!!"  Take a look and you'll see what I'm talking about;)

This beautiful silk flower bridal bouquet is simply stunning. With hot pink and blush Peonies, ivory roses, and magenta Tulips it has all the summer wedding vibes the bride was looking for. She also requested some broaches tucked in there. Five medium broaches and 6 small broaches added a ton of shine in the bouquet. And if that wasn't enough, we added on that beautiful bejeweled sleeve to cover up the stems. This eye-catching piece is by Body Werk Jewels.

Here's a peek at one of the bridesmaid bouquets with the bridal. You can see I added in some small rhinestones into the bridesmaids bouquets. It gives them a little somethin' somethin' without taking anything away from the bridal bouquet.

Bridesmaid Bouquet: Ivory Roses, hot pink and blush Peonies, ivory Phalaenopsis Orchids, Greenery.

Maybe you've got an even more creative way to include some shiny things into your flowers but don't know how to pull it off. I'm your gal! Drop me a line and let's see how we can make it happen!

Wedding Bouquet Bling in Silk Flowers- Part 1

I've done some really fun bling in silk wedding bouquets lately. In fact I'll have another post next week, so be sure to check back! Sometimes I use bling for a subtle bit of glamour, while other times I seriously up the shimmer game. Wherever you fall on the shine continuum, there is bling for you! Click this link to see a list of other ways bling as appeared in our silk wedding flower bouquets.

Take a look at a local bride's beautiful cascading silk flower bridal bouquet with ivory Phalaenopsis Orchids and fuchsia Roses--it's a triple whammy of bling!

Whammy #1: Rhinestones sprinkled throughout the bouquet.

Whammy #2: A statement broach placed in the bouquet.

Whammy #3: Bejeweled sleeve for the handle of the bouquet by Body Werk Jewels. It's breathtaking!

This baby had some serious shine. If you're looking for creative ways to incorporate bling into your silk wedding flower bouquets, contact me today to get the design process started.  Check back tomorrow to see more beautifully blingy silk wedding flower bouquets!

Bridal Bouquet Recreation in Silk Flowers

I know it's June already, but I wanted to share some of the bridal bouquet recreations in silk flowers from April.

This beautiful and bright bridal bouquet was a combination of roses, peonies, lavender, delphinium, lamb's ear, and freesia.

This anniversary bouquet was composed of silk roses, peonies and greens.

This bridal bouquet recreation from a destination wedding was a tropical mix of peonies, roses, stock, dahlia, and dusty miller.

Why Fresh Wedding Flowers Come With Risks

As I've gained more clients ordering a bridal bouquet recreation in silk flowers, I've become more and more convinced that fresh wedding flowers can come with some risks and how awesome the option of silk wedding flowers actually is! I've had customers who loved their bouquet and just wanted a replica, and I've also had customers who wished they had silk flowers to begin with. Let me preface Ana's story by telling you briefly about my first winter in Minnesota.

That first winter, I made the mistake of leaving for an early college class with wet hair.  As I walked out to get in the car (which I failed to let run for a while) I began hearing a crackling noise. That's right, my hair was freezing. Now imagine what can happen with delicate flowers meant to thrive in warm environments!

My story is funny, but Ana's is not quite laughable.  Married on New Year's in Minnesota, you know it's going to be cold, but what Ana didn't know is that her flowers were at risk of freezing. And that's exactly what happened!  They were able to squeeze in some shots before her Anemone's turned completely brown, but she ended up having to pull them out of her bouquet before she even walked down the aisle!  Her bouquet was amazingly beautiful, but it must have been hard to swallow the loss of flowers she paid good money for!

When she contacted me to recreate her bridal bouquet in silk flowers, I was so excited to proceed because her bouquet was just stunning. Here's a side-by-side of the recreation and the original. Photos provided by Mark Fierst Photography.

Sadie’s Floral in Minneapolis made a gorgeous bouquet that I loved, but our record-breaking New Years Eve cold snap froze the flowers. We were able to get some pictures before the anemones froze and turned brown (and had to be pinched off). Recreating in silk means I wake up every morning and see that gorgeous bouquet.
